They may be quite close to manu in terms of talent but certainly not a better team. Manu is a vastly more experienced team, a title winning team. Ericksen was good in dutch league but kagawa was better in a stronger german league and both will be average in Epl.

Mou on oscar Oscar 's an important player for us, he's one of the deals Chelsea made in the last year that has proved to be fantastic because now he's a regular for the national side and important for Chelsea.

For now isco and goetze are not better than willian at 25, in the future they may be but that is yet to be seen I've seen very great talents like Nani fall from grace and unlike goetze and isco, willian is no longer a talent but almost fully developed. However that is not the point I wanted to make in this thread.

I think the italian league has become so poor in standard compared to the past that any little talent is overpriced. lamela for 30m is just as outrageous as cavani for 55.4m and that is no where near a bargain or true valuation for a player who has had just one good season in the 4th or 5th best league in europe. Its a shame that he can command a simlilar valuation to players like isco,willian,goetz e.t.c

Mata isn't a textbook no. 10 neither is he a midfielder he is just a forward playing in the no. 10 role and hence his high no. Of goals and assists. As excellent as mata is oscar is the better player as shown in the fact that when mata is playing no. 10 everything has to go through him and no other, else nothing happens but with oscar that is not the case, everybody is involved and everybody is brought into play and given more responsibility to show their creativity but lesser responsibility to defend which mata doesn't provide. For all the talks of mata scoring and assisting oscar is very capable of doing his fair share of those but let's not forget that some of greatest play makers in history hardly score up to 15 goals a season usually 10 or less and I am talking about the zidane, pirlo, xavi, iniesta, scholes, seedorf, deco so its not only about scoring and assisting but bringing a great balance to the team, bringing others into play, as well as creating chances to allow for the assist,the direct assist and for the goal. Mata is excellent no doubt but the fact that we are comparing his qualities to a 21 year old says something about oscar as well. I always thought oscar should be understudy to mata for at least another season but mata's complete absence in midfield in some big games like against mancity, barca and bayern makes me fancy oscar now looking into the future although this is no fault of mata but he lacks the energy, presence, aggressiveness and energy to coordinate adequately in midfield in such big games. Furthermore since mata is a forward a free role on the wing actually suits him since he likes to cut inside therefore he can still get lots of goals and assists, there i am sure he will still deliver but as for no. 10 going into the future he is not a midfielder. Before we did not have a midfielder to play no. 10 but now we have oscar and also kevin debryune for me.

Welcome to chelsea its nice to have a true african legend in chelsea. In africa Eto'o is considered >>> drogba (no disrespect to our chelsea legend). Funny enough like I've always said he is exactly what we need until lukaku is ready. Imagine us playing in champions league knock out with such an experienced striker. I think he is more well rounded than he used to be when his pace was enough to cause havoc and that's a positive. For sure his contract terms are in line with our club policy but the eto'o i know will earn at least a two year contract. I love him and if he wasn't playing well for his high wages in anzhi the whole world would have known so he is a very very good signing to me.

He has really developed as a footballer and I think we are signing him at the best time. He is definitely as good as hazard if not better in terms of dribbling and passing but certainly less endowed in shooting/scoring and is more experienced. He also has great presence on the pitch him and hazard at chelsea are too good to be true considering there's also mata, oscar...and co. Great addition

He is prolific, definitely an upgrade on ba and torres but certainly not lukaku and he is not the kind of striker we need, he is totally dependent on service from wingers and midfielder's and 99.9 percent of his goals are scored by sneaking in behind the defence, he has no link up play really and hardly(if at all) scores while facing a defensive wall therefore he will be very useless against teams that park the bus which we will have to deal with a lot this season. I still think rooney or eto'o are the best options as they score all kinds of goals as well as create goals for themselves in hard games. My ideal scenario will be to sign rooney/eto'o and martinez then sell of Ba and Torres.

with the addition of willian(a really unique player) and an experienced world class striker i think we will be quite stronger than manu. Imagine willian and rooney/eto'o in our line up we will tear most teams apart

Well he played with four prolific attackers so you can't fault him and its much better than playing ramires or bertrand on the wings. By the way where? Is bertrand.

He was really great tonight

He was the best of our attacking midfielder's in the 1st half but was absent in the second half. Mata would have provided more attacking wise but also considering the pressure on us would have exposed us a lot also.
