Bayern would be fools to sell him, but they also were foolish enough to sell Gomez... Gustavo might be worse than Martinez, cos he is much less skilled, smaller and weaker, but he is still one of the best DMs in the Bundesliga. If we go for a Dm at all and do not go for De rossi, he should be considered. He is rather fast for a DM, much faster than Schweinsteiger or Javi martinez. His passing is decent, his tackling is excellent. The problem is his strengths or rather his lack of it. The web says he is 1,87, 80kg which can't be true. I am 1,90 and 80kg and i have seen him in person, he is much smaller than me, rather 70-75 kg. So if he puts on some muscle he can really become a great DM. I think is important for Brazil shows that he is a really capable, disciplined and hard working DM. All in all, he is a faster, a bit less skilled, much smaller Mikel but with bigger engine and drive, more mobile and bigger radius of action, better sliding tackles and more dangerous offensively. So in general the better all-round package.

I think this is less about FFP but more of our club looking to break even as planned years before FFP came in. Every better accountant can fuck FFP over. If we wanted immediate success like City or like we did 9 years ago, we would have no problems splashing cash. But I hate it we are not in for more. Instead of this van ginkel signing when we got Josh, Chalobah who are arguably not that much behind MvG from our own youth behind Lamps and Ramires we should really look for that De-Rossi signing or something similar who really can make an impact and brings in experience. Even if MvG as an goalscoring B2Bmidfielder shall be Lamps replacement. We do not even got a proper place for Lampard in our formation so how shall MvG fit in there??? Both, Essien and Mikel are not good enough for the holding role in a double pivot, both ahve seen better times, both are better in a 4-3-3 and both are simply not the quality we fuckin need there. And instead of just spending some odd 15m for a classy DM, which will not harm us financially at all, we fuck a round with a blockbuster 30m+ 220k a week Rooney signing. I mean wtf? With de Rossi or Luiz Gustavo our squad would be complete. BAyern won the triple last year with bloody Mario Mandzukic as striker. Ok, no one would win the EPL with Mario mandzukic, but Lukaku scored just as many league goals in less games than the Bayern striker. Even fuckin Torres scored more goals than him...I think if you had Lukaku, Ba, Torres in the Bundesliga they would outscore Gomez, Pizarro, Mandzukic. So my point is. Attacking wise we are much better off than in terms of DM tho 15m there and we are fine. 30m for a striker and we still have a weak DP. Some games last season, many games actually were lost because we had no one up front to finish our chances. But remember those 2-2 draws vs S'hampton and Reading? We were shit in these games and did not have many chances, still Ba and Lamps were clinical enough to secure 2 goal leads. Afterwards we simply got overrun and got unlucky. With a fuckin decent DM this would never happen. Remember us being stuffed by ManCity? We weren't wasteful, we did not even had real chances cos we got overrun in midfield. Last year we only got an inconsistent Torres and an inconsistent Ba. To the end of the season Torres looked at-least a half-decent player (kinda Kalou like), Ba will surely find his feet sometime and Lukaku is promising, so we already have massively improved there. In DM we are just as shit as last year with the difference being we got another average player on outrageous wages who is just not suited for that role + Lamps is a year older. So, all in all, exactrly 0 players suited for the DP.

Really? Got a coach who does not know jack about winning trophies, Ageing Ferdinand, declining Vidic, declining Evra, Fergie, van Pussy and Carrick unlikely to win them the title again inspite of a shit squad. Who will do it for them this time? Kagawa or Phil Jones? If they do not improve their squad drastically they will have nothing to laugh about, as they won't even come close to challenging us or City. I gotta feeling a barren spell for Utd will come just as 95-2007. If we and City do not completely fuck it up their era of domestic success is over. Moyes will win exactly one title next seaso: the carling cup. the community shield vs Wigan does not count. Utd will have nothing to laugh at for a while

They got a competitive advantage due to corruption. Also you never know if s.o. is prepared to take black money, they may also be prepared to spend it to buy the refs/uefa, who are corrupt as well.

messi was injured and/or out of form And it is common knowledge Bayern's dominance is built on 40 years of tax dodging and illegal donations (mostly by the Bavarian government). Of all federal countries Bavaria enjoy the most sovereignity and they think they are better than other federal countries. Hence FC bayern has been a prestige project of the government, making it as easy for them as possible. Bavarian MPs such as Strauß, Stoiber and Seehofer have had a personal attachment to FC BAyern, too, funding them with official events financed by public money. As much as the Spanish government funds Reals and BArcas success with this crazy tax rule, Bavaria funds BAyern, with the difference being they actually can afford it.

I am surely not feeling stupid right now. Rather confirmed in my judgement. i posted that and your ridiculous pseudo-scientific article does say nothing to prove me wrong. I have accompanied people on their fight against cancer and lost quite a few, I have been into cancer treatment for years, I have spoken to approbated highly-qualified doctors and they agreed with me that vegetables do fuck all against cancer. The video I posted - which is not stupid but a piece of TV culture - just had to be kinda comic relief, maybe more for me than for others but it exactly matches the situation. The guys who administrate the website and wrote the article obviously don't know jack about the treatment of cancer. So do you. This is not about being wrong or right. do you really think i would give a fuck about that if i had not lost someone. @admins: I put mediaotr on my ignore list, but it obviously does not work.

Bundesliga has Bayern, one of the best teams in the world due to unique advantages due to corruption, then there is a big gap to Dortmund and then there is a huuuuuuuuge gap to Leverkusen and Schalke and maybe Stuttgart and then there is an even huger gap to all other teams. Teams like Hoffenheim, Freiburg, Augsuburg, Fürth, Bochum, Köln and whatever shit are just unworldly underwhelming. They do not even try. It is a mircale BAyern fuck it up every other season even though their squad and their budget is 100 times that of most teams in the league. The bundesliga apart form its top teams, just like La liga is utter shit. that is mainly because Bundesliga does not even get a fraction of the TV money English clubs get. The richer German clubs compete with English bottom5 clubs for players on the transfer market. As long as this stays so, Bundesliga will never have consistent success. BVB adn Bayern were great last season, but that was an unique situation with them being lucky BArcelona were out of form and without Messi and REal and Mourinho fucked it up. Won't happen again.

really sensible of you guy. Welcome on my ignore list you disgusting prick.

Yeah, I also appreciate Kevin's ability and he really could be fighting for the first spot at CAM, but look Mata has played this for two years for us and Oscar is the no1 CAM for Brazil. IMO they are both 1 and 3 years ahead of him...Nonethelss it is great to have those options. The depth we have for the 5 midfield positions is insane. And the option of not relying too much on Mazacar also in the big games is nice too. Lacks a bit of height I think, but otherwise nice balance. will be interesting to see whether Oscar really develops into a DLP. Still i think all of them, but esp mata and KDB have to add a bit of defensive ability. Mata, I am pretty sure can't, cos defending requires a tenacity and athleticism Mata just does not have. KDB is still young and has the physique of a boy. I am pretty sure he can add some muscle which will make him faster, stronger and in general more robust, so his defending will also improve.
-
Funny you say this. I actually just ate a footlong roasted chicken breast subway, when I wrote it. But I remain, Mata and Oscar are naturally more creative than Kev, even though Kev is more direct.
-
you should tell that my grandma, she died of cancer last year. Probably she did not eat enough vegetables
-
They really are not. 2/3 of all teams in the bundesliga are championship level ...just with less money. I strongly doubt he will be one of the best in the world. he will be a really good footballer. But what position will he become the best in the world ? CM? surely not, does not have the defensive abilites at all. Wing? Too slow. CAM? Not even close to being as creative as Mata or Oscar...
-
Calm down guys. He looks amazing and has been THE star of the preseason so far. But he still has not played vs decent oppositions week in week out. You really can't expect his form against some crappy Singapur and Malaysia sides to hold in the EPL forever. Still amazing goal. He is really a sublime footballer.
-
Stay patient. We got time. It is Wayne fuckin Rooney. He is no Torres who relies on perfect passes into space. Rooney can come in, not knowing jack of our tactics and still make an impact. Even though it will be funny with him dropping back having Rooney, Mata, Lampard, Oscar, Hazard all strolling within square yards in front of the opposition's box while in possession. The decision will not be made too soon. Utd will check out how much we are offering before considering the possibility of selling him to us. They lose anyway. Either they have an unmotivated, unhappy player on outrageous wages or become a laughing stock because of practically handing us the title.

Best Formation for current Chelsea Squad?
Magic Lamps replied to Blue_Legendary's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
We could play that with de Rossi as only DM...Maan that would be amazing. I think Hazard is best at LW. As he is our best player, that criteria is indifferent to the question of formation. -
Lamps might be the way greater legend but still JT was an amazing player for us for his entire career. He has really been chelsea through and through and was a major reason for our success 2004-2010. Even though he declined rapidly afterwards and caused some scandals. I also think he is overrated. Lamps, Cech, Drogs (in this exact order) are bigger legends of course, but his commitment still sees him make the top10 of chelsea players of all time

If I were Mou i would have Iva CB and Kalas RB. Kalas is faster and better technically than iva, also a far better crosser, whilst iva is stronger, taller and more solid defensively
-
Mourinho is double the manager Moyes or Pellegrini are. No idea why people are so pessimistic. Even without de Rossi and Rooney our squad is just good enough to win the league.
-
Maybe Mou plans MvG as a DLP. He is still young and mouldable
-
Seems so. FFP is really even more of a joke if PSG and Monaco get through with this shit. No matter how many loopholes their balance sheet must be so fuckin deep red, they can't get into the competition.
-
Lamps is one of the most prolific corner takers in permiership history...but we probably need his height in the box more nowadays with our midget team.
-
Has to. Would be a completely needless friendly in our anyway congested schedule otherwise.
-
Because he is predictable. Like I said before, he is a slower, less talented Sturridge with better work rate and attitude. Sturridge also is predictable, always trying to beat his man and then shoot. It is about the same with Schürrle. But don't worry, in the season he will be sharp and that will work out more often than not. Even though it is predictable, you can't deny him too often. I think MvG is rather tall and strong for a man of his age. That is why Mou brought him for the first team. The guy is ready.
-
Utd won't sell him to us unless they get in real trouble as there is the possibility this move can be title-deciding. Anyway they have to see they can't keep Rooney without ruining the spirit in the whole team. At the same time they can't simply sick Rooney into the reserves as we did Malouda. We paid Flo-Mo what? 100k a week? Rooney will cost almost three times that much while not playing. They have to sell him and as long as he sits it out, they also have to sell him to the club Rooney desires. If that is us, I do not know. Still there might be another club coming up with crazy money, but the options are limited. Can you imagine Rooney in France or Spain? ManCity is not an option, neither is Arsenal.
