  1. Btw: Drogba 9 finals 9 goals - Thierry Henry 5 finals 0 goals
  2. Old but shame they don't have that sign in non-CL matches
  3. You don't need to, but they promote a software on their site. IMO wiziwig, myp2p and atdhe are superior to firstrow anyway
  4. Arsenal's biggest shout for a "trophy" is their very own Emirates cup. Now Drogba has even taken that from them. Me gusta.
  5. Not sure about the site but avoid installing the First Row software though u most probably will catch a virus by doing so. Here is a very decent Chelsea TV stream which has worked for months. The game will be broadcasted there. http://www.flashwebtown.com/mediaplayer/mediaplayer.swf?backcolor=0x000000&frontcolor=0xFFFFFF&file=rtmp://cp96798.live.edgefcs.net/live/&id=ChelTV_Ch01_1000k@26291&autostart=true
  6. True, Jose is especially emotional on the touchline but all managers are and there are many like him who do not really contain it like Jürgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel or Jürgen Klinsmann. Carlo is a father-friend figuere AND authority just like Jose, that's what makes them worldclass managers, they know their players get along with them personal but are also able to impose their ideas upon them, Jose is jsut the best at that. Of course Jose is unique, just like any manager is. but it is not just because he slides on his knees which many mangers do, or because he is close to the players which also many managers are. it's just the sum of his managerial and personal qualities most notably his man management, tactical skill. Let's not reduce him on any trivial aspects and just enjoy what a great manager we got.
  7. That's easy. He does not want to rob himself of leverage to force his selection. Rooney does not want to leave but he wants to play. So he says he is unhappy because he is. When he now says he wants to stay anyway, Moyes would have such a strong position, Rooney could just take his place on the bench voluntarily. The point that annoys me the most is that our bid obviously only was a means to elongate Roo's leverage but never a serious opportunity. Obviously Mou fall for all this "I am unhappy" BS
  8. Cruyff was all about elegance and ego. He invented tricks not for them to be effective but just to be cool, he scored goals just for the sake of it, he dribbled past players effortlessly just because he could. Cruyff was an artist, playing football for football's sake. Kevin is no artist. Kevin is a crafter, doing his very best with the target always in mind. He makes things happen, runs to help the team, always looking for the best pass to get us nearer to the goal, taking the shot when he has the opportunity. Both - artist and crafter - have their place in football. I don't like those "the next xy" terms but when one uses them one should at least wait unitl mentality and style are characteristic for a player. There is no use of slapping a "the next xy" tag on a kid who has not even found his onw path himself. Now at 22 years you can make such judgement over KDB. But honestly, do we really need to?
  9. Bill Gates, Julia Roberts, Joaquin Phoenix, Garrincha, Matt Smith, Mahmud Ahmadinejad, -------------------- I think that's pretty good. FD Roosevelt was a decent president and Christian Bale is my favourite actor. But Denzel washington is not born on 30th of January.
  10. He is a cunt and I don't want him here, but I still think he is a great footballer, but not what we need neither as a player nor as a charakter. But you should not mix this up with his footballing abiliy. His dribblings as well as his shots are abysmal at times, but also Ronald or Hazard completely fuck up their dribbles often enough or waste hosts of chances, football is the art of failing with occasional succcess and you are rather harsh on Suarez, he almost carries Liverpool alone, still he scores amazing and vital goals like those where he scored from 60 yards or even better the one he clinged onto a 70m high ball with his first touch completely outfoxing two defenders and the goalie for him to roll into an empty net. He produces things no one else can do and that is why he belongs in the EPL, even though only at a cunt club like Liverpool. Alone the fact that you compare him to Falcao and Cavani shows the standards one has to measure him at. Football lives on controversial characters. Yes he long should have gone to jail for his assaults but football would be boring if all players where nice and rules-abiding. It's not that he is that dangerous. The players he bit hardly noticed it, the problem is the refs did not get it which hyped the incident even more.
  11. He is a spectacular player, his dribbling and shooting abilities allow him to accomplish crazy things. Those flashy players have always been more admired than the silently efficient ones. His finishing is not better than Torres's but he is capable of things most strikers can only dream of. He also creates a lot for others and works incredibly hard. That is why he is such a coveted player, rightly so. But I agree, I'd also have RvP over him now, but Suarez is 4 years younger. Suarez might be wasteful, but in the big matches he performs and scores. He has scored against us almost every game from al most no chances. His ability as a striker might be overrated but he is an immense footballer
  12. It's not that he deceived the entire community. Most did not even pay attention. We have endured so many endless sagas with thousands of reports with better evidence than this random twitter chap ending in nothing.
  13. AS if JT wanted to go, as if the club wanted to sell him. Surely this would be a nice price for a player of JT's age and injury history. But you just don't for sell your identity for a ridiculous 15m. Additionally we would be left with even less CBs then while there are no quality ones on the market. JT in form is still a boss and yet able to contribute. Just as with Lampard you show very little respect to the clubs history and legends...
  14. Me too. Sometimes one has to rephrase one's thoughts for them to be recognized. So what will you make with Rooney? Unhappy player on outrageous wages in a squad role?
  15. He is a great athlete already that is why Jose brought him in. He is tall, quick, combative and stronger than he looks. He might not become the next Lampard when playing in the DP most of the time, but he can be our Yaya Toure (provided he gains 20kgs of muscle). Might not be the DLP we all hoped for but 8m for a 20 year old with his potential is a bargain. When he can play a decent semi-defensive role in the DP, he will be a valuable option for 10+ years.
  16. Rooney did not want to move himself, he just wanted to complain and make some noise and pressurize the manager to play him in his favourite position. Now he is scared himself by the prospect of him having to leave to play first-team football. He himself never wanted this to go so far, but was too naive to calculate the consequences. Now he hopes for all to blow over and things somehow fix themselves.
  17. It's not luck. hazard only has the goalie in his sights, does not look at the ball at all and only shoots when he sees the goalie go one way. That proved to be very effective so far, though i want to see what he makes when a keeper just does not dive. He would probably able to save the kick easily cos Hazard will be standing so close to the ball there is no way he can shoot it hard enough... Anyway as long as it works. Lamps does not always outfox the goalkeeper and usually shoots to the left or in the middle but he shoots em so hard, it takes an excellent goalkeeper and an excellent save to keep the ball out like the one Joe hart produced for City. Neuer, for instance knew Lamps was shooting high in the middle in the CL final, still could do nothing about it.
  18. If Bale goes they can easily afford it.
  19. He is a 10m striker IMO. Nice volleys and a decent shot, but does serious shit sometimes and misses the easiest chances. Pretty much screwed Essien when he scored vs Real though.
  20. Milan Baros, Sasch Rösler....well not that good but other than that some people whose work I admire are born on my birthday: Bernie Ecclestone Bill Gates, Julia Roberts, Kevin McDonald and Joaquin Phoenix
  21. The problem is, it is not that clear. Rooney might also wanted to leave in 2011 but a bigger paycheck was enough to convice him to stay obviously. As much as Torres is a self-possessed emo girl, Rooney is a spoilt princess (an extremely ugly spoilt princess), naive and immature, his money spared him to grow up, even for his move from everton he did not have to leave the liverpool-manchester sinkhole . he probably does not want out himself and is probably terrified himself what rumours and hatred his "unhappiness" has sparked. On the other hand he wants to play, he wants to be the star man but he himself has not resigned to the imagination of leaving. that is why he has not forced through the necessary move with required tenacity. AFter his sorehead act, which first of all only should pressurize the management to guarantee him a starting spot he is now desparately hoping for everything to blow over and his little world to get fixed for him somehow.
  22. The problem with Mikel is, he is just not that hard-working destroyer you need for a DP. Mikel is almost majestic in his laziness. He is King when it comes to sit deep, guard space and calm down the play but he seldom tends to make some main points offensively or in transition. When he got hard working players next to him like he had with Belletti or Ballack in 2009/10 or usually when Essien was not injured, he was simply beast. That is also why a Mikel-Ramires pivot is ok defensively, just not very creative. Mikel is our best DM, cos he is almost our only one. If we want to finish 2nd or 3rd with a decent run in the CL and maybe an FA Cup win, that is ok. If we want to challenge for the very big prizes, we need a serious upgrade on him...
  23. Just like Inter an average team that has seen better days + some star players. Their defense+goalie are utter crap, average at best, I think the majority of EPL teams has better players there, their midfield is good and nicely balanced with KPB, Muntari and Montolivo. the strikeforce is of course their best department. I'd have any of EL sharaawy, Balo and nyang above most of our stirkers in terms of footballing ability, but surely not attitude... Regarding their fitness, I am pretty sure they will not be that sharp, they had such buisy schedule playing GICC and Audi Cup simulataneously with their features against Valencia, City and Sao paolo all in space of 6 days. But still their forwards will give it a go and trouble our defense, I hope our newly forged Ramires-van Ginkel pivot is up to the challenge to withstand one of the deadliest strikeforce and a midfield with a one man advantage.
  24. I think with Victor moses it is the same like with Malouda, a winger who relies more on his power and strength than fancy tricks and needless solo-runs. For hose players, space is extremely important, that is why he thrives on counterattacking play. Moses has still weaknesses the most striking one being his inconsistency. But don't forget he is only 22. Yet he is already very experienced having played 3 years first team football before joining us and most importantly very mature. Other players at his age brag around demanding game time and shit, Moses is just glad to have the opportunity and does his job as good as he can, on and off the pitch. He is extremely hardworking, always tracks back and has outstanding defensive abilites for a winger. I think it is important that we keep him as a alternative direct option to our Maestros. He might not have had the best season, but stats don't lie and when you look at them you see decent end product. I think he was instrumental for our run in the EL and that is all ok for his first season at a big club. Defensive wingers have been used to good effect here at Chelsea with Malouda and Kalou being examples, Moses is more talented than both and has a good 5-10 years of development left. We should not judge him on single games. We paid 18m for Andre Schürrle and all have been keen to defend him, Moses actually had a very similar season to Schürrle in a much stronger league...
  25. The only thing left Essien can do is play the simple passes and get his muscular frame between ball and opponent at times. He might still be a shomewhat useful squad option with his vast experience and professionalism but that's it. He will not give the main points any time again footballing times. I strongly contest that he has not been the player he once was since 2007-2008. IMO he was great in 2009 and after his injury in September of that year he came back in the 2010-2011 season in beast mode. Sadly the subsequent injury completely killed his career. Since than he really should have no future hear anywhere near the startin 11. HIs asset always were the physical ones. His drive, his stamina, his pace...all those are gone. The desperate reaction of some members to try making themselves believe he can be the Bison again is just testament to the lack of genuine quality we got in the DM department.
