Even though I agree, he should get a rest. 6 games in 4.5 weeks is not too tiring. Love it how Mourinho himself claimed Lamps would not be able to play week in week out but lets him play 90mins every game.

Ray Wilkins hits out at attitude of young players
Magic Lamps replied to Stats's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I have to object Butch at this point. Everywhere you see young players giving their all to become pros. There are players who get too much money early on and are sated with their trophy girl and bi gcar and don't push on, but this is a case of selective perception. Because of the vast media coverage we see those exceptions as the rule. One has to agree many young lads get too much too early without having proven their ability on the highest level but the level of football and the enormous pressure force the clubs to pay them so much. Nonetheless, regardless of money the competition is so strong when one guy fall out of the line and neglects his work because of a lack of attitude there a 100s to take his place. -
Ironically that he got a red card in the match Mou watched him. I am pretty sure we would never be signing him anyway.

We had Klose, Neuville, Frings, Baumann, Bierhoff, Kahn and many more good players. Not a vintage side but still much better than the South Korea, USA, paraguay, Saudi-Arabia etc. We faced only shit teams which we would have easily beaten even without ballack. I watched Micha's entire career. and I watched Lampards entire career so far. For me Lamps has been the better player throughout.
-
Both, Ballack and Lampard are attacking midfielders, but cos Lamps was a good deal better than Micha, he was the one to sacrifice his offensive abilites for Lamps. Lamps goalscoring record and individual accolades cabinet outweighs Ballacks by far btw. So, yes, inferior.

Not sure whether it has been wise to loan out Lukaku. But his 2 cameos this season showed more what he is not yet than what he already is. Even though there is undoubted ability he lacked the cleverness and also the drive against both Villa and Muich. When he cam on with 25 minutes to play in Prague he showed nothing at all. If Drogba would have been in his position he would have worked his socks off throwing himself into every ball, playing fullback at times. Lukaku just strolled around not even attempting a tackle. He was as useless in attack. It might be difficult to retain the ball when you are the only man of you team forward but he was easily dispossessed by players half his size. I remember when Drogba took 7 minutes off the clock just by faking injuries or defending the ball at the corner flag. This is what wins you big matches. Even Ba would have done better in these situations. I think this is sth that Mourinho really rates about strikers. He does not care too much about his pre-season performances or his inconsistent matches for WBA. He needs playing time to develop consistency and match-winning ability. If Mourinho feels he can't give it to Rom yet, be it.

And even Ballack only was a very poor man's Lampard his entire career. So nothing to worry about. Anyway, we could use s.o. like Ballack these days. With Eto'o possibly out, I am quite sure Mou would start Torres vs Everton. If so we only can hope he has one of his good days on which he actually is a useful striker like he was against Munich.
-
Don't meet trouble halfway. The injury did not really look serious. He was taken off precautiously. His resignation from international football means he has a week to recover so I expect him to be in conention for the Everton game, even though he will probably only start on the bench.
-
You might be right, but we all know there is also no way we are gonna pull that option. Jackson Martinez might be a proper striker but he will struggle with the pace of the EPL and would not be able to make the immediate impact he is required to do. The same applies to Eto'o or Yilmaz. That is why it has always been a case of "Rooney or bust".

I can't see us losing against Utd if the ref does not help them massively anyway. Since 2011 they have only beaten us once in 6 encounters and we all know how that happened. We were better than them in any of these last 6 matches, we got the better team all over the place. Mark RvP and victory surely will be ours.
-
we won't get anyone.
-
Still ----De Rossi Ramires--Lamps would be one awesome midfield. Just like the good old one with Maka and Ess. Preseason has indicated that 4-3-3 will still play a part and for a mid 3, 5 players are not enough. And you can't rely on Essien and van Ginkel (yet) in big matches, so no one should mind DDR here. Nonetheless, I reckon he is not coming.
-
bollocks. ManUtd won't be champion even if they keep Rooney.
-
Mikel is neither slow nor has no stamina, In fact he is a really decent athlete. the problem is he is so lazy and has no drive whatsoever. That is what distinguishes him from Luiz Gustavo e.g. But I also got no idea how people see him as attacking midfielder.
-
It's august. He will probably wear a training kit like he did on preseason.
-
neither do we pay the transfer fees. But when we want to ponder if a move would be beneficial for the club both are relevant. Btw we buy kits, tickets and memberships so indirects we also carry a part of the costs the club got.
-
Maybe he talks about the difference of players dribbling past defenders with the ball close to their feet like Hazard does it or kicking the ball past the defender and running after it like Milos Krasic e.g. does it.
-
Honestly I'd start Moses based on performances if we were to play a team that would try to carry the ball into our own half, but I'd rather expect a defensive-minded, stubborn Hull display, so less direct players might be more beneficial. KDBs crosses and through balls can unlock any defense and his shot could be useful, too. The same applies for Oscars slick dribbling. My gut says Mourinho will leave our direct wingers Schürrle and Moses on the bench for this one.

In Germany we got stadions with football fields with a 400m tartan track around it. On the longer sides of these tracks we got an exactly measured 100m track. Those football pitches and tartan tracks are the exact same length all over Germany. That is because the German Institute of Standardization dictate's it that exact way. You might not know but we Germans are really fussy, we surely do not mess around with things like this. Even the caps of our yoghurt cups are standardized on the micrometer. I know in the US you got far better sprinters than anyone here in Europe, but thing is, at least in GErmany we do not have our sprinters on steroids & hormones before they are 20 or so. Hence we only got either muscular sprinters who really come out of the blocks like the best and run times around 4s in the 35m dash but run out of steam after 60m or lighter guys who don't have the acceleration to get in the 10s range Depends...I probably would have got a pro contract at Racing Union Luxembourg in the Nationaldivision (1st lux pro league) but the payment would have been less than what I could earn at my father's business and I would not have had the time to study and learn a job with better payment and more longevity. I scored 43 goals in 33 games in u18 1st division but I knew I'd never make it over 3rd tier european football so I quit. This "rated" stuff indeed sounds a bit weird. If u were so amazing complete like Isco + finishing, speed, both feet and aerial ability I know 15 Bundesliga clubs that would love to have such a player and would not mind him being American.

De Bruyne and Lukaku: Belgian Waffle
Magic Lamps replied to NiclasCFC's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Most sportsmen listen to rap/hip hop and mainstream music for whatever reason. Except Markus Babbel you'll never find a footballer listen to Heavy Metal -
The more often you look at it the clumsier it gets. Apart from the fact that most amateur players would have easily controlled that ball, he still could have easily thrown himself onto the ball or kicked it out after it touched the post. Hope he has quicker reactions in games that acutally matter. But shit happens. MarcAndre ter Stegen made a similar mistage in Germany vs USA match.

Rooney is too chicken to do the next step in his career.
-
+ in 2007 we only just beat Birmingham with 3-2. Anyway, in my books one instance suffices to disprove "always". 5 instances hardly form a rule either. I am quite sure myself we won't win this too high but if Lamps is fully fit and Lukaku has his scoring boots on we can easily crush this 2nd tier defense by 5. + this Hull team is weaker than the one we beat in 2009. They got fuckin Nick Proschwitz who was not even good enough for SC Paderborn as a striker...
-
Totti probably is a cunt, but he respects Lamps and Mata as they respect him.
-
I agree. Even though Torres is just a massively frustrating player and I'd love to see him far far away from the club, we have to fact that we won't get rid of him any time soon, so we have to make the best out of him. Atm he is an average striker but when he gets some consistency, he will be half-decent player. Nothing you'd expect from a 50m signing, but hey, what can we do?
