  1. More probable that Haaland shies away from the pressure to compete with the mighty penalty lord Jorginho for Chelsea top scorer lol
  2. i think they will indeed decline 150m. They will only agree to a move if Haaland himself forces it. Watzke budging is usually depending on the combination of both A astronomical bid that exceeds the player's current mv by far plus the player himself being adamant on the move happening right away. otherwise they will be happy to keep a player even if it means losing him on a free to bayern later. they care more about continuity and stability in their squad with enough time to plan ahead and finishing consistently in the CL ahead of a quick buck.
  3. Not really, it is just common sense. pretty much everyone has accepted it is just a bridge too far, the deal is to big, too late and dortmund's stance is too rigid. It is just our friends on here who understandably want this to happen so bad, they actually believe it and clutch to every straw. Really sorry and would love to eat my words but this is just not happening.
  4. We should not be so invested in this. Haaland is not moving this summer.
  5. Exactly. And yet, one is a washed up shell and one is an athlete at the peak of his powers.
  6. That's the pre-Barca Griezmann. the current one has been useless for ages and has not done anything of not for years. He also is already relatively old, not a genetic freak and showing signs of physical decline. Absolute has-been, probably one of Atletico's best ever sales.
  7. that is indeed stupid...why dont they control the vacination certificate.
  8. bc ppl are vaccinated. if you can't reopen when you have like 90% with at least one dose when will you?
  9. Interesting for sure but I don't think he is our man. He is relatively quick and nimble for someone this tall but not really strong at that. Would get found at at PL atm. His technique is quite polished tho, can usually trust him to hold the ball up and find a pass. But I would prefer a natural athlete to be our backup striker. Someone with real pace who can press. give Broja 1,2 years and he will be far better than Kalajdzic is now, esp for our system. Kalajdzic to be optimally effective needs the team to play around him, we can not do that.
  10. I really hope we manage to integrate sterling somehow. He is a physical beast and would offer power, height and pace in that position. Moreover he is versatile and can play across the backline. Also RWB is porbably one of the positions more suited to have a novice playing every once in a while. an error there is not as fatal as for a cb and on the other hand there is not as that much countable attacking output immediately demanded.
  11. Decent vid. Not the deadliest of all finishers from the full games I saw off him but his pace is insane and he presses like a madman. A bit like a more nimble Lukaku. Hopefully we rather start in the season with little Mando than bring back Rom or sign Kalajdzic.
  12. Lewandowski is at this point unlikely to extend his bayern contract, so they are probably gonna sell him next year if nothing changes but no chance of anything happening this summer.
  13. I have to go with Tomo 100% here. Have been saying the same for ages. I watched almost all of Leicesters 's 2015/16 games and Drinkwater did not look out of his depth at all next to Kante. He was the more progressive ball playing option and his quick collection and redirection of the ball was key to their fast-paced counter-attacking football. I also watched him in their CL matches the season thereafter and he was consistent throughout, esp vs Sevilla in R16. Honestly, based on his championship season, i would have tipped him for a starting spot in england xi. Back then he was in good athletic shape, above average pace and strength, decent technique and quick footballing brain. Apparently, he was completely thrown out of his path the moment we signed him. Matic on the othe rhand was absolutely useless for mos tof his time here apart from second half of 2014 and 2016 and I had regarded drinkwater as an upgrade as well at that point. maybe the needlessly bombastic wages indeed sapped Drinkwaters motivation.
  14. This is just so painful to read. Obv they got their fat contract before Corona but I really hope it has taught the board a lesson not handing those out to mediocre players. I really don't think it was necessary to pay kepa, barkley, bakaoyko and drinkwater this much to convince them to come here. it is not that there were too many other suitors in for them.
  15. Apparently we have indeed inquired about Kalajdzic at Stuttgart. 30m would be the price. They are in no need to sell but are realistic to see that it is the last year they will get serious money for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up5ZkWIvhYU
  16. Lol when dailyfail quotes the sun about a Tammy Abraham rumour you know it’s been a slow day in the office
  17. tribunal will only set a minimal fee to cover the training costs. The club will not let it come thus far.
  18. Yeah but that was last year. Never heard of a Ballon d'Or beign given in retrospect. I did not like the Ballon for Modric either. Can think of many who should have given it on the same grounds then. Reminds of Grandpa giggs getting it in a year he played 11 games in. Absolute pisstake. Individual trophies in a team sport are meaningless anyway. Fosters disgusting egos like penaldo, pessi or paymar.
  19. don't think so. one worthless trophy, not even the Pokal and a ton of goals in a shit league won't be enough. You know if Penaldo or Pessi win a tinpot cup they will get it and Copa win has made Pessi the obvious choice.
  20. don't get you hopes up lol. Everyone knows Pessi will get it.
  21. As I said, terrible contract management that he only has one year left but he is too similar to Gilmour. Only one can make it so no problem with the ugly one leaving.
  22. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHcUU4az7wM ssn germany transfer update. nothing regarding us, but varane to ManUre close apparently.
  23. it is strange to have all of them with just one year left. not ideal contract management. Ike ugbo leaving however is alright. he never would have made it here.
  24. the club did attack the market decisively and failed. Haaland, Lukaku, Kane are all unavailable for us, even Agüero declined us. Despite our CL triumph we have deep lying problems structurally within the squad. There are clubs with bigger reputational pulling power and clubs with bigger financial muscle. we have too feed from the scabs comparatively. Only a problem when you want the absolute best which we apparently do. But now we have established that there is no chance to get a world class striker what is the club supposed to do? Buy 2nd rate again? It appears the club has learned that if they can't get absolute top quality they should at least avoid donkeys. No repeat of 2015 or 2017 wanted.
  25. Gallagher and Sterling I both rate highly. I would not count them as deadwood yet, rather promising youngsters. however, i am very sure Gallagher will get another loan with the reasoning probably being that he is already good enough to start every week for a PL side but our midfield is pretty much set in stone so he has little chance of dirsupting it. but since Kante and Jorginho are 29 and 30, Gallagher's chance might very well be the season hereafter. I know it is a long shot, Sarr might very well be kept as a CB backup. He is tailor made to be the left sided CB and while he has quality he seems to be inconsistent and a bit rash. exactly the kind of player TT may be able to iron out. This wil be increasingly likely if Zouma leaves. out of the absolute deadwood, i'd say RLC is the most likely to reinvent himself to become useful. His turn of pace is gone so he is pretty much useless in attack now but he played most of his early career deeper so maybe if he takes a few pages out of Jorginho's book he can becoem some kind of deep lying playmaker. The corresponding qualities have gone a bit unnoticed in his short sarri pruple patch but his technique is tidy and he has good positional discipline. If he can sit deep, win the physical duels and cycle posession he can still redeem himself. Call it the Mikel transformation. Could be a useful squad option in a position we are desperately thin in. The source is the entire German sports media. For every other German appears to be a casual Bayern Erfolgsfan, the transfer coverage here is disgustingly Bayern-centric and abundant. Colloquially speaking, if Brazzo has a bad shit in the morning, the rest of the country knows it midday. They do business a lot more transparent than other clubs, usually pursue the players publicly to sway their heads etc. Hence, every half decent journo rubbished the coman remours early summer and I have not heard of any changes. they value coman as impact sub and wnat to keep him.
