It's done. Only Tammy's signature missing. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/12377667/tammy-abraham-roma-agree-34m-deal-to-sign-Chelsea-striker Let's hope he does not miss this clear chance. i can totally see him setting Italy alight with his athleticism. His slow reaction time will not be such a big problem in grandpa leage either.
-
big difference between option and obligation to buy tho. I am not happy but at least a bit satisfied that i was right about Tammy. Decent enough striker but not good enough to lead our line. Not happy with a bench role so right to sell him. would have gotten more if we had sold him earlier maybe but who knows with corona market.

you can bet your ass that the Spanish government is gonna sell their last shirt to salvage Real Madrid, the biggest global spanish brand. It might just be that their last shirt is not enough.
-
Only in Serie A,clubs will go replace their 28 y.o. star man with a guy almost 10 years older lol About Moriba, i am 90% sure he is not signed for the senior squad but i can be wrong as he made quite a bit of mileage for BArcelona in la liga as well.
-
ye... but do you see us making another signing after Kounde? The Tchouameni links died down weeks ago and were never really that concrete. Really can not see it happening this late.
-
Actually the natural option would be Trev Chalobah. He has been used as CB mostly by TT so far but actually he is a holding DM so would complement our other midfielders nicely. I am afraid we will not buy Tchouame j or any new mf at this point
-
would you rather keep the squad place empty tho? I think if we do not sign a 4th cm, I'd honestly rather have Waterboy play vs Bradford or Shrewsbury in leageu cup/fa cup 4th round than having to trot out an overplayed Kovacic/Kante/Jorginho
-
It's only 4 years ago but he looked so much younger back then... Management really has not been good to him lol Anyway.... Lamps is usually right about recognizing a player's abilities. Let's hope he is right once more.
-
correct but it is only the squad ofr the super cup. We will hardly need all our midfielders here. It is a good early indication, that TT values Tino more for tihs match than RLC but it is not our final squad for CL/PL, so things can still change. Drinkwater/RLC are homegrown so it is not impossible they might have a place in the squad, as there is one HG squad place left I think.

Wrong again. as I said 100 times: lukaku is a decent player but not a good deal at that price Bad deals hurt the long term economic plans of the club Haaland would also probably have been a bad deal if we had offered all parties the necessary money. no emotional investment in either player from my side. I just care about the club . i guess it is similar with most on here who did not want Lukaku for 115m.
-
We could still make lukaku fail the medical if a better alternative presents itself Obv the club will not engage in such gamesmanship but it is an interesting hypothetical question would you take agüero over lukaku ?
-
I strongly doubt he will be in our first team squad. The boy is only 18 after all
-
Now with Agüero possibly walking backo n his barcelona contract... can we sign still this summer? might possibly be the better solution to pull the plug on Lukaku and sign Agüero instead lol
-
we should prioritize CM now. Zouma apparently does not want to move so we are more or less covered at CB even without Kounde (who i still don't want). But what almost cost us massively last seaosn was that we had to run Jorginho and kante into the ground after Kova got injured. we really can not afford to go through this mammoth season with just 3cms. As we have not registered an additional CM, i guess that all the dregs including RLC will be gone soon. Really getting nervous about this. last season we at least had Billy to help out a few times but now we are absolutely paper thin.
-
Big Ed Azpi AC. Rudi RJ. Kante. Kova. Alonso Ziyech. Timo Kai is what I expect. By far not our best lineup but should be enough if we don’t have a massive fitness disadvantage which I expect we will have
-
Appears that we will go into the season with only 3 cme -.-
-
Daka looks Lacey but has no clue what to do with the ball always hitting opposition players with it
-
I think the board made a point of not breaking the record. Hence the 97.5m figure
-
I really wish I could take this like a kid and just get excited about a sepctacular signing instead of worrying about the context. But being a buisness man for me this just boils down to this: Decent player, bad deal. You could well call this a high-risk low reward signing. Let's now just all get behind him and keep our fingers crossed that he scores a ton of goals and carries us to many titles.

good point but who says that in a year haaland is still the best choice? maybe we can get mbappe for free given our previous history or maybe we can continue with false 9 like most clubs and don't need a true striker. Maybe broja becomes a beast, maybe in a year someone else emerges who appears to be a better prospec then... you never know but when the player is not the perfect choice at the moment and for the future why bother weaking yourself from a position of strength.... it really gets us into a tough spot. We don't need to be desperate for a title and buy for the short term. For myself? for my personal wellbeing it does not mean a flying fuck who we sign for how much. But I care about the club including its finances and long term economic plans. And in this context i just think this is a catastrophic deal... In fact I do somewhat rate lukaku, see the Serie A thread. He is a one man bison herd. One of the best counter attacking strikers on the planet. He would do well in Bundesliga or would continue to do so in Serie A. But for us he is not the perfect fit and for the money I'd rather pass as I can see it being invested more sensibly that is all. There is no emotional investment in the player himself here, just the emotionalinvestment i have in the wellbeing of the club. and in this context i just consider it a bad business case which saddens me a bit. That is all.

pretty sure we deliberatley stayed just a fraction under the british transfer record. Mad for a 28 y.o.... anyway, he has my support as long as he gives his all. He is not at fault for the board's limitless stuipidity. Go big Rom!
-
sorry but the logical choice would have been no one. Get your first choice or don't sign someone at all. Lukaku is a 2nd rate 2nd choice and exactly the kind of signing we should not be making. Too old, too expensive, contract too long. This window can still get worse than 2017
-
that wage is absurd. are werner and chilwell not on under 200kpw gross? completely fucks our wage structure. for a player who is average technically at best...

Not gonna happen until the oil dries up or is trumped by green energy/alternative technology. In the end the last barrel of oil will not be worth millions. It will be worth 0
