Do you think Willian will make it straight into the starting eleven ?
-
Özil will be a brilliant signing for Arsenal. Totally a Wenger type of player, will link up will with Giroud and be to them what Mata was for us under Rafa, basicially a second striker.
-
A certain Carlos Tevez

I think signing Eto'o might be a good solution for now until there is someone younger and more available on the market. He might lost some of his pace but with our line of attack he might not relay on it too much anymore, because all we need upfront is to know how to finish off a move. From what I can gather one of Eto'os great skills is his finishing and I am sure he has not lost that skill (unlike another member of our attacking department). Him signing a big "12 months contract" would be ideal for Eto'o and could prove to be the difference in this title race for us.

Better not be a tight affair like the last time we played them on the opening day. Belter from Lukaku winning it for us.

I hope that the board have a couple of other strikers on their list, because if we don´t get Rooney we will just look real stupid, whilst Spurs signed Soldado and City Jovetic and that other lad i always forget the name of. Maybe I am just hitting the panic button and the board have everything in check with Wayne and talks are actually advanced..who knows.
-
Probably has been posted before, but here are his assists and goals for Werder. Love the first goal especially. I think we´ve got a real diamond with this one (The phrase "No shit Sherlock" just came to my mind whilst typing)
-
Agree with you mate. I can´t see it happening to start with, but also I can´t say I don´t want him. At the same time the Torres fiasco is still hurting us...
-
What is wrong with these twitteroids anyways ? Why are they making up all this nonsense. Surly the kicks one can get out of being "re-tweeted" are only limited.
-
It all depends on wether Barca are willing to sell Cesc. If United can get him, they´ll need to get some cash from the Rooney Deal.
-
If United sell Roon it would be good for them too. They wouldn´t have to deal with Chicarito and Wellbeck getting enough minutes respectively. They would ease the situation in the squad with getting rid of Wayne. He clearly doesn´t want to play there anmyore since last year or so and they can earn a lot of money by selling him. Something they should consider given their financial situation.
-
Oh Carlo....
-
Well, i don´t have the stats at hand but i guess it has to be United...far away from our record though.
-
Looked promising today I thought. Won´t get much game time here this season I reckon. But defo someone for the future.
-
Amazing striker and all that, lots of goals and skills...but please..no. This guy is posion. Might as well bring in Joey Barton. After all this sensible buisness the board has done until now, can´t see it happening.
-
Yeah why does De Rossi do that ?
-
I think Brazil at the Confed Cup with Gustavo/Paulinho and Bayern Munich in the Champions League with Schweinsteiger/Martinez are the prime examples for what you need in the DM area: two equally physically strong players, who when ask can move up the pitch or play as a sweeper (Schweinsteiger in CL Final dropped so deep at times that he looked like a third CB) and can play with the ball (in that respect i was really surprised by the Brazil midfield, and we don´t need to talk about Martinez and Schweinsteigers abilities. The two together were absoloutly incredible to watch last season. Martinez performance against Barca alone was worth every penny they paid for the boy). If we get De Rossi, and him being paired with Ramires (who has to improve only on his passing range and finishing at times) can deliver exactly that. A "power couple" who just win back every ball and immidiatly can switch into attack. I am actually quite excited about the prospect of signing De Rossi. This, however, is not a case against Mikel by the way. The signing of De Rossi would give our midfield an extra dimension.

When is the end of the transfer window ? August 1st ?
-
Right man for the job. Will calm down all the disruption Mourinho´s left there. Bit of a yes man, which probably suits the board there. Can see him doing well there.
-
Wouldn´t be surprised if a lot of people are caught. To be honest, the Spanish state could probably do with a little extra dosh.

Hasselbaink at left back ??

-
Didn´t Mourinho say back then that players like Kalou and Mikel are the future of football ? Mikel today is the player because of Mourinho. Why would he let him go, can´t see no reason other than Mikel really wants to go.
-
Hm... He seems to be very strong on the counter and best used as a sort of DiMaria role. Do you think Mourinho wants to play on with that Real Madrid pacey counter attacking style at Chelsea ?
-
Strength in depth - won us back to back titles, I´d say. No strength in depth kept us costing too long. Good signing.
