It was disappointing to watch, but to be honest, out of the two games I rather take the league win over them. I expected us to get seriously trimmed twice by them, and given our industrious performance against them a fortnight ago, this is a loss we can take on our skin and there are obvious reasons why we lost - having to play our best players was a given, though they might be overplayed. The problem is that we really need them all fit against Everton, especially Hazard and Willian. Good thing is that Oscar should be fit and that we don't have CL football this week. My personal priority is the league this season, so I hope that Mou gives them a good drill and will make a good selection for Sat.

Amazing performance by David Luiz 4! Him and Matic are just incredibly strong and dynamic in midfield. Awesome to see how much more versatile we are now with Matic in the side. Ramires and David Luiz, Frank Lampard and Mikel...that should give is the strength required in the DM area for next years Champions League.

I am devastated. I can't believe it. Rationally, it all makes sense, but then again it makes no fucking sense. Him and David Luiz are the players I got detached to the most over these last years, and now one of my favorite players ever is leaving for the club I hate most. It makes no sense. I actually feel "heartbroken" over this.

I would be devastated if he would leave, but more so if he would join Manchester United, the club I have love to hate. It is a real real shame. I understand that José hates "strong" players in the sense that they think their place is for granted. Given all the problems we have had with player power over the last decade I can also see that he wants to prevent this early on, but I just can't quite believe that he is willing to do this. And if it is actually Juan that is pushing forward the deal, well, it's football fans heartbreak syndrome on my side. I just love to watch him play. Ever since he joined us, it was like a breath of fresh air and a genuinely positive character after all the Maloudas and Anelkas we have had. I understand that he wants to play more regualerly as it is a WC year...but fuck it. Seeing him blogging about Manchester soon and how he thanks us for our support is actually unbearable.

Good luck to him. Shame really that it didn't work out for him here. I was really excited when we first signed him, sort of indicated that change in style we wanted to proceed. Thought he was a really "Guardiola Type"... Probably mentally not ready for the demands of being a Chelsea player. Signing Willian was probably the end for him here. Hopefully he will set the Bundesliga on fire and score a few against Bayern!

I love this season whatever the outcome might be. It is just so unpredictable with all the so called small teams reinforcing their ranks and liverpool finally finding something one might even call consistency. Rodgers really did a good job there. Same for Martinez at Everton. In hindsight he might have been suited to the United job even...

Wouldn't bank to much on them being tired. They have a squad depth, that just is mind blowing. How I just love to see us beating them again, finally. Last win for us against them was under AVB and Lamps scoring the winner, right ?

Cole and Schürrle (yes bragging with the umlauts on my keyboard ) look far more solid defensively on the left together than Cole and Hazard. IF we are playing super-attacking minded teams like Arsenal or, as it happens, Liverpool these days, we should pair those two to soak up the pressure and then bring on Hazard as a super sub. Impressed by his performance, despite being against a piss poor right back. At the end I felt sorry for the lad.

Did he do a "call me Mr. Mourinho" celebration there ?

Even though we probably should have won that game, I am happy with the point because it proved that we are ready for battle in what will probably turn out to be a difficult season.
