Couldn´t agree more. Whilst it was amazing to see what JT is capable of it always was going to be a problem when he is playing a lesser role, like right now. Player power and it's flipside.

To be fair though I think they will get there. Especially in Mata and Oscar we have two real fighters. But there is only so much they can do if the others don´t do enough. I think that this stage we are in is the real transitionional stage everyone was afraid of. Building a new team around new players. Shame that we don´t have the right manager to oversee that.

Now they are thinking about bringing Avram Grant back, apparently. In an assistant position or technical director. Anyway, sensitive by the board again if they go through with that.

Forget Benitez, forget Roman for a second. For me it is down to the players attitudes. No disrespect to Petr Cech, but I think we need a mentaly strong outfield player being our skipper to give the team a kick up the backside. As much as I find JTs behaviour problematic to say the least, he needs to be fit and do it one more time until the young guns are settled in. I can also see Mata be a vocal skipper to step up. Of course the manager needs to build a team up in a shituation, but everyone knows that it´s not gonna be Rafa. The team have to carry themselves - again. People may never ask again why there is so much player power in Chelsea. It is really incredible to see the sort of accuracy whith which the board shot the club in the foot. This time there is no coach stepping up behind Rafa, DiMatteo gone, Steve Clarke gone a long time, same as Wilkins, no Hiddink in sight and this talking after just 1/3 of the season over. I don´t see Rafa stay much longer. It is gonna be even more painful. I think we haven´t seen the worst yet. It just makes me laugh. I am not even mad anymore, it is just the pure agony. Even when we were shit I looked forward to the games, this time it is different. It just feels like chaos with a clueless manager, a disillusioned team, a board packed with mentalists, the most ruthless playtoyowner since my childhood. Why would he rip off the head of his favourite doll ? Please, I need football counseling.

i alwys wondered why Oscar isn´t deployed with a deeper setting. I think he just would do very well there. He seems to have the eye for the killer ball and stabilises the game every time he is on the ball i think. something like Mikel/Romeu - Oscar - Ramires in midfield. bit more conservative but a good counter attacking midfield.

really ? i thought West Brom are still ahead of us...

urgh urgh urgh urgh. for all the half chances, were there 6 shots on target ? a scoreless draw against fulham with the cottagers having more clear cut chances although we crowded their penalty area constantly ? really, i am getting sick of this and it´s just 14 games in...

someone with a half decent stream. i am losing it with mine.

I don´t count games involving Fulham as London Derbies. It has to stop nonetheless that Fulham always take points from us. Still remember the cagey 1:0 win with Essiens winner two bloody years ago.

When we bought all these small and incesive players I thought that was to lure Pep. All the players that came to the club in the last transfer season are all exactly Pep material, Moses included, starting of with Marin. I think we shouldn´t read too much into Tixiki joining Man City, they needed a better negotiator, because their last transfer summer wasn´t all that great. I don´t think that Pep will go to City. Pep and Brazil make a good fit: less work compared to Club football, also the type of "Barca" players, interested in a slick footballing philosophy. So I wouldn´t be surprised if we don´t get him in the summer. What will be done manager-wise I don´t know, but playing wise we obviously need a 20 + goals a season striker and a new DM, because that was our main weakspot conceding goals the way I see it. We don´t concede from set pieces that much, it is more the cut backs to the edge of the area which gave us problems, so we need some more cover in front of the back four. I am just very jealous of Bayern, having Martinez, the guy is absoloutly instrumental in their season so far.

Realised today that the best thing might be to pretend to be grown up about this and support the Chelsea no matter what. Although I am still fuckin angry about RDMs sacking. He said afterwards that he still has an unreserved love for the club. Not that anyone in the board would care, but I do. Of course I want Chelsea to win trophies and dominate games against the big teams and struggle but still win against the small ones, but I also want to be proud of the club like I was proud in Munich when we played quasi the worst game we´ve had and still hung in there and did our own way, the way we knew we could win with. These last three days just torn my sentiment towards Chelsea into two directions. On the one hand Robbie maybe wasn´t tactical as astude and maybe he wasn´t the one that was wanted initially but he was someone who loved to be here, just like Carlo, just like José, just like Claudio. I want to be proud of Chelsea, and it kills me when there is bad press and we are the laughing stock of the world of football and be seen as cruel and heartless bastards. On the other hand I know that for the sake of the season and the club it was maybe a wrong decision to give Robbie the job, so I know all that. It just felt good to have a club legend managing our team. I couldn´t watch the match today cause of work, but i got to read the mbm and the comments on here and I still feel the buzz but I have to say that seeing Rafa on the touchline is too weird. On the one hand any other club below us would probably be chuffed to have him (he is a good manager, slightley paranoid and mental, but good) is good, but he is just in an unlucky position to be in. No one wanted him here, now he´s got the gig, we are the unasked and still coming audience who has to accept it. On the other hand I want Robbie to be there. KTF. KTBFFH. Up the Chels. Sorry, not one for the emotional ones, but it still feels so fucking weird.

i know what you mean. i find it harder every season to get into it or watch an international tournament. this season i thought it would be different but right now i just despise everything about it again (for me, it´s just phases). It is even harder as a Chelsea supporter because of all that redicolous stuff that happens around the club.

The lack of a strategy is shocking though despite of what happened to RDM. I am not buying into this whole saga with Pep coming in the summer. Why would he come and be even more stressed out as he was with Barca because of our trigger happy owner who never ever would bite a nescessary bullet in order to get something like a long term plan going. I thought we have had that with Ancelotti after Mourinho. I am not convinced that "long term managers aren´t for us". I really don´t. Why do people think we have so many big egos in the dressing room who can make a decision on a managers fate ? Because they had to carry the team, they had to in order to achieve anything and consequently could have but would never work for someone who they don´t like. I don´t think that this is a good vibe to have around a club. Long term stability is something that we have to get at some point, because it will cost Chelsea in the end.

To think that we once would show up at Anfield with Torres upfront and Rafa as manager...

i share your feelings, but we simply can´t afford that. we have to do well because otherwise this well be the situation we will look back to like Leeds fans do today. for me personally it will be hard to get worked up about anything concerning him. he better stay out of the media, keeps his head down and let oscar do the magic. this season will all be about the team and not so much about the club for me.

of the lot of things that worries me the most is what rafa will do with mata-hazard-oscar. i hope he won´t just stick them on the wing and leave one of them out and play a very conservative style and put all the attention on torres. this is a man that wrecked one of the solidest champions league winning sides. i am really, really, really worried and angry at the same time. i have to say that i never felt like this towards the board and roman. villas-boas sacking i could sort of see but roberto´s is just beyond me. i simpley refuse to understand what happened in six months after the CL win. i am still so disgusted what they´ve done to robbie. maybe we led one player to many go (mereiles in my opinion) but other than that ? what happened to us ? it feels like a blizzard in the face. i won´t even be surprised if this is a major turning point. i think axing dimatteo was one too many.

i am coming to a point in my carreer of Chelsea supporting where i am just beyond "WTF". Post-WTF so to say. Just leaning back and watching the mayhem unfolding. Grand Hotel Abyss.

Harry with the likes of hazard, oscar and mata, ramires and moses...the thought is killing me.

that is the third manager gone in just as many years. i am not sure what it takes to actually get this job anymore, not to say even stay in the job. as kez put it, benitez in and i am out (i like to think)
