+ it was a fair observation of the game.

A rematch of Bayern v Madrid would have been tasty. I hope that Bayern loose against Juventus; Pirlo scoring from the centre circle.

Another misfiring striker ?

Exactly the same here. The Champions League feels like 10 years ago. Right now it feels more like Leeds United in the early 2000s to me. The club really have to make up for this cock up.

Where can I download this match ? Anyone with an idea ? I have no clue where to find something like this comfortable.

Ryan Shawcross and Lee Cattermole would have enjoyed that and probably thrived in the match. That really was the perfect game by Mou and his men. Incredible team performance. I watched it without any commentary to concentrate more on the actual game without the hype talk. Madrid just looked cool headed and composed from start to finish. Messi was particulary quiet due to the brilliant defending. Their strategy with the two wingers dropping deep to switch from 4-2-3-1 to 6-3-1 worked really well.

The problem with Bale for me is that he always had good half seasons but not yet quite a full run at top speed. But who are we kidding ? Bale to Chelsea ? Not gonna happen. I am not even sure if he´d leave Tottenham at all.
-
Gareth Bale was a LB at Southampton once. It is obvious what to do.... Joking aside. I think with Ryan we have a very promising LB at our disposal who is a CL winner and probably just as experienced as Shaw, given that Bertrand together with Ashley shut down Ribery (partly Robben) and Lahm. So I think Shaw is not exactly an imidiate transfer. What would be good is to buy him and loan him back to Soton. He gets regular playtime there already, we don´t shit around with Ryan too much and would make sure that Shaw doesn´t get screwed by a hammered board-management-structure....It sounds too reasonable maybe.

The worst thing is that I exactly know how all the Spurs supporter feel now. We were with the back against the wall every so often but managed to turn games around. It only seems ages ago. Well deserved Spurs and Bale who are definitly two different entities. I just have to pull my emotions out of Chelsea for a while. It is a ridicolous task and probably won´t work but everytime I think about the Chels it makes me so fucking angry. To think that they axed RDM for this plonker when being 4 points behind...to think what stupid transfer buisness we do apart from the brilliant buys. To think that we let two CMs go and replace them with actually no one. To think, to think, to think.... Hopefully we scrap a top 4 finish and boot out Rafa and Torres. I would pay for the cab, the flights to fucking Madrid...

Someone living in Fulham or close by should check the next time when near the Bridge..

Exactly. It hurts me so much to read about stuff like that. How is it possible that at the end of last season I felt never better about Chelsea, never more proud. And then this ? A few months later the fans and the legacy get kicked in the teeth by the board.

To say José failed at Real is purpostorious and not a fair assesment of the situation. His closest rivals are one of the best Club football teams the game has ever seen, he took over a club that is as poisonous as arsen and coincidentially the "biggest club in the world". The expectations are just redicolously high and I think that no manager is capable of performing at Real without coming under scrutiny and the pressure that will probably take a normal humans head off. I wouldn´t say he fucked up, I rather think that José has reached his limits with Real. No one can do this job forever, look at the manager structure they have had. The reason they are not performing well this season is probably more down to politics inside the club. The situation got to him, he overreacted in a lof situations that make me question him on a couple of occasions; sure, he always had a vicious side to him but at Real he at times looked to be only the devil of football rather then the cool genious that he was at Inter and Chelsea. I want him back. His ego just suits this club well.

Why the F*ck is he in the side?

That is true but I think that it would mean that a lot of money is spent in a department we are not lacking. Isco would definitly an improvement but I think that we urgently need someone to put all the little fires out that break out during a match, someone to fill the gaps.

Someone like Zabaleta would be a great buy. It would mean more security for our three amigos. Instead of trying to fit in a fourth we have to make sure that the fullbacks get more protection from midfield. Ramires and Lampard are still too attacking minded in my opinion. It takes some clever positioned DM. The kind of display Phil Jones did against Ronnie. It is not needed against all opponents but in the case of need to stabilise the back line. A more mobile Essien...

I want someone like Belletti in young.
-
I don´t think we should sign him at all. Our priority HAS to be an out and out striker.

The header by Christiano was just pure class. Absoloutly majestic. It will go down as one of those sporting moments. I think this will be one of the classic archival fotos that newspapers will pull out one day to describe the legacy of Ronaldo at least at Madrid. I hated him when he was playing at United, but since Madrid his game got so much more classy, in a way. It was an amazing game to watch for a neutral (although i was hoping United would get roundly fucked), I was even a bit nervous because of the excitement. David De Gea baffles me. He pulls out some of the most amazing saves in one match and still he doesn´t look convincing to me. I know the stats, I saw the saves, but still wouldn´t I want to have him in nets. His save with the legs for example, it looks very good and reassuring if it comes off, but I think it doesn´t show signs of confidence. It looks too improvised. Difficult to judge, fine line between maniac and genious. I think United will have the edge now at OT although they have been leaky as a civil servant on confident data due.

I think Celtic will have to relay on what is refered to as a spirited performance. The problem with Juve is that tehy are a very clever team that can switch their style in a game quite quickely, compared to Barca who are very stubborn compared to other teams. I think Celtic have a small chance, but on paper Juve are just to clever and experienced in Europe, especially with Pirlo, the clever master fuck captain.
-
They may win the home tie but I think that over the two legs Juve will be better. Just more quality in depth.
-
It is an unreal situation not being here now with Chelsea. But I think this round has some of the best draws in Champions League football I can remember. Fuck it, I want Real Madrid to stuff Manchester United, Mourinho winning their 10th, leave Madrid, come to us, first day in charge to the press saying: "I said it last time, and I will say it again: I am not one of the bottle, I am a European Champion".
-
Nice little habit of scoring against Liverpool there. Hopefully he´ll keep doing that whenever that will be.
-
Rafa ? Bold ? I don't know if I could handle a bold Rafa. I can´t even handle the conservative one. I just realised how unemtional I am about Chelsea at the moment, compared to last season at anyway. Hopefully we just have signed a Pre-Deal with Mourinho and Falcao or something. I know it is sort of childish, but the Club really has to make up for this season.

I am living in Berlin and Prague is not very far. I should have gotten onto it quicker. Kinda regret this now. Going to Prague next month though but still want to see the Blues. Maybe if we progress in the Euro League there might be a chance to catch a game in Germany as a few german teams are in it.

With these regulations I can´t see us letting our loanies leave. I think it is a good thing to try to control the financial powers a wee bit.
