Chelsea are really in it for anyone with doubts. El Confidencial which is top 2 or 3 most reliable papers in spain, (this is no marca lol) mention it in the end of this article. http://www.elconfidencial.com/deportes/liga-bbva/2013/07/02/real-madrid-y-real-sociedad-ya-negocian-el-traspaso-de-illarramendi-124205/

According to AS chelsea has a personal deal with cavani.

Replying to Stingray from the page behind, i have seen documentaries about spain where the NT's physio team helped iniesta GREATLY for example when it comes to the mental aspect during the 2010 world cup. About Mata, the lack of the 4-2-3-1 that del bosque has used all these years had its effect, along with fatigue. The brazilians came in with alot of energy and momentum, and i really think del bosque did a mistake not playing martinez @ midfield. Its been shown throughout the tournament, the problem at midfield. According to toni grande, which is the 2nd coach to spain, they replaced fabregas with mata because they needed more directness and pace, and that almost worked out for them today.

Spain should learn well from this defeat. Arbeloa should not start for spain, or for any team. Azpilicueta or Carvajal should replace him in the NT, Hopefully Carvajal buries arbeloa in madrid. They need either Alonso or Martinez in the midfield with Busquets to revert back to the 4-2-3-1 They need a good forward up there. Alonso was a big loss for spain this tournament. I might throw some dirt on him sometimes, but as i always say, he can still perform well in a good system, and as it is quite known, defending WITH the ball is a big thing for spain, and alonso's absence left a whole in the defensive scheme of things, and they were left apparently, with out a penalty man, as ramos was supposed to be that, but owned him self.

God dam god dam god dam. This is why i want to see him in the middle. Hes been tracking back to defend, has been good in the counters, and provided a good assist.

You and who ever helps you with it all have done a great job with all of this. For those that dont know, this type of forum is possibly the nicest one out there and to run it with your own server, or with invision board's own, can be very expensive, specially with so many features and members. Great work gone into this that should not be ignored. Great job.

There are so many dimensions to statistics in football that using them without other evidence with it is not recommendable imo. But statistics are relevant, and they can help clear up or emphasize some things. Now this statistic you showed in the OP, what is the main purpose you are trying to get out of that? Contribution? Because even then, if you are to compare defenders like Azpilicueta or Cole, surely the amount of turnover or passes wont tell you enough about their positioning, mistakes and losses when it comes to duels, keep integrity of their defensive lines... Same with midfielders, what if you compare a player like Khedira to Martinez, if you go to whoscored.com and compare their defensive and passing numbers there isnt huge difference but when you see them on the pitch there is differences of tremendous proportions when it comes to runs, covering, marking, etc. So i dont think you can create a formula that is too exact, we have to search further. Im writing this quickly and being a little bleak with the explanation of my point perhaps but the point is that right now im not so sure there is a universal formula one can use to measure "contribution" properly, and i think stats are a good thing but should be used with other evidence in football. There are way too many dimensions to cover, if anything the statistics shouldnt be so broad on all players. We should probably define the rules to see what the importance and contributions of the players are, differentl and separately depending on what their roles are to get more exact tellings. And maybe that can help us understand with numbers how efficiency of a scheme works. I think i saw you mention something about ronaldo's shots seeming less impressive and also taking away from other's efficiency and you are correct. Numbers can help emphasize things. But we need to create very good dimensions to use those numbers in, to get more value out of them.

I will do a bit of scouting on him and get back to you.

In an attempt to get this back on topic, here is a good scouting report on Asier. http://outsideoftheboot.com/2013/05/04/asier-illarramendi-scout-report/

Instead of replying to you in a different way Korea, im just going to say that i dont think you have things quite accurately, but ill try harder to be more peaceful and understanding.
-
I'll continue to troll you masterfully without even the inch of energy wasted. Take it. @ korea, i also took a tone that can maybe be a bit more harsh because its not the first time i had been contradicted by toli by with arguments that with all due respect were not appropriate to my knowledge, and there had been a vibe of animosity between the two in a way. Toli has my apologies if he wants them as hes not a bad bloke from what i can see.
-
Wrong, im just not going to be told im wrong with non existant arguments as back up.
-
It sounds like alot, i have not watched him play but this scouting report gives a positive idea of the kid. http://outsideoftheboot.com/2013/06/16/henrikh-mkhitaryan-scout-report/

Im not even criticizing Hazard im saying it wont happen because its not the best for the team, and i also have midfield battles in my mind. I was perhaps a bit too strong with the "Never" and "Ridiculous" but even if i used softer the language, my idea is the same.
-
He has all the players he could possibly want to create something relevant, if he cant then he with all due respect ill see him as a bit of a fraud, because i consider the real good managers to be able to adapt to the situations and be able to get the best out of their resources. La Liga is a bit of a joke, and i cant see madrid doing worst than last season, with the talent he has, i dont really expect for the most fundamental errors in in madrid's team during 12/13 to be any where present, i really think he has the potential to do a good job, but we will see. Madrid have a stronger team and i think that although his league thing with milan could be an indicator, some people take assumptions too far, its to early to tell but i predict that it wont be a disaster in the league.

I havent back tracked at all so i dont know if anyone else has mentioned this but... I find to be the chelsea training jersey to be superior to any of these other kits, dear mother of god is it exquisite IMO. i think ill get it, its actually half the price of the home kit which i have to say i dont particularly like. Also i dont want to sound like im sponsoring them on purpose, but if you can see the watermark of soccerpro on the bottom right of the picture, thats actually the best place to buy a jersey from if u live in the US ( maybe somewhere else as well) as u are given free shipping in the us on orders above 65 and REAL low prices, they are authentic as i have bought gifts for others there, but instead of costing 90 dollars, they have the home kit for 80 dollars. Im not gonna get free shipping on the training jersey lol. Those lines that run across the chest/arms are probably ment to differentiate between training and jersey, but i like those lines considering they remind me of the Adidas style back in the mid 2000's. Actually my favorite national jersey ever ( im wearing it right now actually) has these factors.

Thank you very much Toli. I hope that Kondogbia is mentally strong enough and mature enough to join a big club, he has had run ins with the law as well, with what i believe was a fake driver's license lol.

Ya the time will come sooner or later. He is raw specially in the experience department, temperament, and his technical abilities. But he has good Defensive abilities, tackling, and tactical awareness. He has been playing more of a B2B role for france in the U20 world up, Pogba is showing to be more complete, but i think Kondogbia can shape up nicely as well. As long as he does his defensive duties right, while also being relevant in his passing and movement, he will be alright. Madrid also have many good passing options in midfield which can help him, thats why i said earlier in this thread that joining chelsea could be harder and more of a challenge.

That doesnt seem to me like the appropriate Response Stingray. Either way i strongly believe in my tactical nous to be able to say that even if hazard can do a fantastic job in a "10" role to put it simply, the players around him, and probable system give me the idea that the best thing to do would be to play hazard at left and try to get the best out of the other players. My idea comes from believing in maximizing system potential and allowing players to maximize their identity and traits and i dont think putting hazard in the definite 11 in that position would be the best option. I also always thing about midfield battles. other options being better imo.
-
Step backwards? He will be paid more, play in europe, and if does well will end up getting more time with Brazil. And if spurs does well, could end up in the cl.
-
If anything De Bruyne has the traits to play as an ACM, i dont think anyone should use their time to develop him to play farther up the pitch, doesnt make much sense really. ACM will be marked as x and would work like the following. DM CM X CDM CDM ACM Etc...It would be like asking oscar to become a CDM, irrelevant and too late. De Bruyne should work on maximizing his potential in the area he is experienced in. going farther up the pitch is too much of a stretch imo.
-
Im using Madrid as an example to show what happens when you have a player like ozil with poor work rate in the top of the trident. You need someone with good work rate, and you should never choose hazard in the primary 11 on top of the trident as you have other players and the entire team composition relies on getting the most out of your players traits, such that hazard should be put on the left, never on the middle because you can get better results with other combinations. I gave a profile on schurrle, and go to whoscored.com and search for him to get an adequate feel for him. Of course there can always be variations in different games, but against a team like bayern...you have to think about chemistry and i cant see hazard working there and expect the team to play better, while maximizing player potential.

Toli said it. Del Nido wont give a dam if he sells for the right price. Madrid want him and the spanish press has been all over him. Zidane has a good eye and he was influential in the Varane deal and the deal for the guy as my Sig. A call from Zidane and kondogbia is Madrid's. BTW i said "trade deal or something along the sorts", some of the posts before me implied that there could be something where something could be done due to marin joining sevilla, and thats not how it will work. Highest bidder + Kondogbia's wishes imo. Considering Madrid want and need a DM, and other than de rossi i dont see many other options madrid can take. If madrid want him, only way they dont get him is if they dont give him ample time in team, which is an important thing according to kondogbia. The reports go far too back and are in too many places to conceal the fact that Madrid are indeed after kondogbia. This is Madrid's to lose if they dont get the right deal with the player, and hes not asking for anything far fetched.

I never said that stats are everything, dont use this as an argument implying, that i implied that, as i named it as one of several different factors that i brought in along with term definitions and videos of him playing. Modric is no DLP because he doesnt have the defensive attributes to be marked as one. He's a CM/ACM. Using logic such as "di maria" and "khedira" are starters is bad logic, and this simple answer of yours is what i reflect when i talk about tactical nous. You are not giving me an actual tactical opinion when in fact i have watched these players fail for years. Just because Mourinho and Low do something, it doesnt justify its correctness. Low has never convinced me, and his inability to cope well with his resources is a good example. Same case with mourinho. How Mourinho thought he could pose well enough systems with khedira and di maria in his team is beyond me. I have loads of tactical analysis from others as well such as Michael Cox which do a good job at pointing how Madrid got gang banged in too many instances to count, in big part due to the overall deficiencies of khedira and di maria. Perhaps my apparent harshness towards them is confusing you a little bit, but when i call them irrelevant, i mean that they are irrelevant when it comes to forming a good enough team of very composed and complete footballers like bayern munich for example. Along with the players them selves being below par and overrated. In fact Low should be paying attention to Bayern and Dortmund Bender Scweinsteiger Kroos/Gotze Managers could have their own reasons but the results and tactical reasoning of the results show they are mistakes. Khedira is either too average or below average in everything. Thats putting it simply. Di Maria is not smart enough, hes consistently bad, and has very bad passing, and is predictable. The results, stats, and just looking at them prove me right. Alonso is a CDM/DLP. So is Illarramendi. You are confused probably because of how you have seen him play in Sociedad but he is neither a B2B, or DM as you tried to say, he is a CDM, DLP. Read the description i put there last page. Its even on the videos. He has very good defensive mobility and awareness, and also playmaking abilities and long balls. The stats back up all of this along with his quite visible traits. I think ive said enough at this point.
