  1. None of the goals were his fault. He actually made a couple of good saves. 3 out of the 4 defenders that started the game were squad players as Kompany, Vertonghen and Alderweireldt were all injured. So stop being a bunch of whiny cunts.
  2. Think the amount of games he 's played over the years might have caught up with him. Since August 2012 to 1 november 2015 Hazard played 213 games with most of them being 80-90 minute games. That, along with the amount of times he got the shit kicked out of him, was always going to come back to bite (him) us in the ass Best if we rest him. Nothing to play for anymore this season. Whether we win the FA cup or not doesn't change much. We still out of the CL next season and we're still going to need to rebuild our squad.
  3. New excuse ? The guy's been playing injured for the past 3 weeks while our "supporters" have been questioning his commitment, ridiculing him and spouting ignorant vile shit.
  4. Belgian paper reporting he's been playing with pain (painkillers) for the last 3 weeks. Ivanovic also confirming Hazard (and Costa) started the game injured. " ‘It's not an excuse, but people have to think about the fact Eden started the game injured,’ said Ivanovic. " ffs just rest him already. How long are we gonna continue to flog him to death ?
  5. Like fabhazard said people need a scapegoat. They just need to vent their frustration at someone and Hazard is the easy target. His performance against PSG wasn't any worse then that of Willian or Pedro. He didn't miss any big chances nor did he commit any defensive errors yet since the game ended his thread has been by far the most active out of all the player threads. Everyone just popping up to vomit their frustration onto Hazard. I'm certain he'll make them eat their words i just hope when he does it'll be at this club and not another one.
  6. Not a backpass. The Norwich player was the last one to touch the ball so it doesn't count as a backpass.
  7. Matic is suspended. Curious what midfield Hiddink is going to field. Fabregas and Mikel will obviously play but who will be the third midfielder. Oscar apparently has an injury aswell.
  8. He's a gamble but a low risk/low investment, high potential reward one. A loan, till the end of the season, on low wages. If he doesn't do well here we can just part ways with him at the end of the season. There's no long term commitment. Think it's best if you look at the Pato loan as a trial run.
  9. But tell me Pizy what strikers were available and would want to come here knowing we can't offer them the nr 1 striker position ? Let's face it whoever came in would have to play second fiddle to Costa. What quality striker would accept that ? Also buying players in january is always difficult as clubs don't want to part with key players in the middle of the season. And then there's also our whole situation we're in atm. Poor season, no CL next season and not knowing who our manager will be next season.
  10. Damn, i hoped it wasn't his ACL. Hope he takes his time to recover.
  11. https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2016/02/hazard--good-to-be-back.html "You never know with injuries but I’m not feeling any pain now, I’m 100 per cent fit and I’m ready to play. ‘We have four very important months and I think the manager wants me to be fresh. I’ve been out for a month, which is a long time. Sometimes you can come back too quickly and you end up getting injured again." Get the feeling we're resting him for the Champions league and FA cup games.
  12. I understand the frustration. The level we are at now still isn't good enough for the ambition this club has (which at the very least is top 4 finish (CL football)) But you have to remember where we came from. 16 games, 9 losses, 3 draws, 4 wins, 15 out of 48 points. Now 8 games 0 losses, 5 draws, 3 wins. 14 out of 24 points. It's clear we've improved but we just need to keep improving.
  13. Got the lineup wrong. Shouldn't have played with Matic and Mikel. Showed Watford too much respect. Cost us 2 points.
  14. It might be clear for you Choulo (that keeping Terry is in the best interest and that he can still offer a lot to the club) but at the end of the day what you think and what i think is in the best interest of this club doesn't matter. The only think that matters in this situation is what the new manager thinks is in the best interest of this club. If he doesn't think giving Terry a new contract is then we shouldn't give him one. If he does then we're going to give Terry a new contract. Fans are just going to have to accept whatever gets decided by the new manager. Like i said before age and length of contract have a big impact on player value. Ivanovic and Cahill are both younger and can be (and have been) offered longer contracts because of that. ( yes giving them new contracts does raise their value but they're we're given those contracts because of their age.(ofcourse not just because of their age but it was a big factor)) Age is essentially a cap for contract lengths. The older a player gets the shorter the (offered) contract length gets. Say what you will but Terry's age simply works against him. It doesn't allow us to give him a 2 year contract (too much of a risk) which would have indeed raised his value a bit. Cahill and Ivanovic would go for more then 5-7 million. Even if the club would deny the exlusive source his claims, which i doubt they'd do, you wouldn't buy it and still hold them responsible for it as would many other people. Sorry Choulo but that's not a valid reason to heavily imply the "exclusive source " ,aka the club, is lying while taking everything John Terry says at face value.
  15. No i don't think so. Age and lenght of contract play a great deal in player value. Terry does poor on both. There is another reason though why Terry's situation is different then Ivanovic. Imagine if we give Terry his contract extension now and, in the summer, the new manager comes in and says he doesn't want Terry around and we sell him. How do you think the fans would react to that decision ? Going from thinking that Terry would still be at this club for another year to not being here anymore and it would all be because of that new manager. Wouldn't be a good way to start your season as a Chelsea manager now would it ?
  16. Ah yes ofcourse, two sides tell their story. The first side tells his story, you go absolutely nuts (suggesting a boycot of a major game, calling it an outrage and insulting the board). Other side comes out with their story a day later, you go hold on let's think about this, they might be lying (or twisting things) for their own best interest. Maybe you should apply that thinking to Terry's version of the story aswell ?
  17. He might be the most regular starting member now but will he be starting for us next season ? I don't think so. Don't you think it's fair though that the manager gets to decide his squad when he shoulders the main blame if it goes wrong ? Because he has resale value. We can sell him if the manager doesn't want Ivanovic. Also giving Ivanovic a contract means no other club can pick him up for free. We have control over the situation. If another team wants him they would have to pay and we can sell him if the manager doesn't need him.
  18. Trust me i'm not happy with Ivanovic getting a new contract and would have preferred if we let him go at the end of the season and simply moved Azpi to the right and brought in a young rb to be his understudy. But if the manager doesn't want Ivanovic we can still sell him. That's the difference, Ivanovic still has value on the transfer market. John Terry, at 35, simply doesn't. "Our best defender" Suppose that depends how you look at it. With the way we are currently playing, ( fullbacks pushing high up, high line, fluid midfield.) our central defenders are frequently left exposed. Zouma for me is the better defender under those conditions. Where exactly Terry fits in will depend greatly on what type of system we'll use next season. Which i think is why the club is waiting to see who will be our manager next season. Again i think it's a sensible thing to do.
  19. Think you're all missing the point. The board simply doesn't owe John Terry a new contract. They aren't obligated in any way to give John Terry a new contract. John Terry has shown loyalty to us by staying, yes but the club has also shown loyalty to him by sticking with him through let's call them "unfortunate situations" ( the ones that Peace mentioned). Not to mention he's been paid quite well over the years here. Would he have shown the same type of loyalty to us if Roman didn't buy the club which allowed us to give him his £150 000 a week and made us a team that challenged for the biggest prizes ? Probably not but that's okay. Big players go to clubs (or stay at them) that pay well and challenge for prizes. So don't go acting like Terry was doing us some sort of favour by sticking around here. We simply never gave him any reason to look elsewhere. It's perfectly fine to want Terry to stay and to be sad about him potentially leaving the club after his long time here (no doubt, he has been great for us) but acting as if it's such a disgrace, such an outrage that we aren't offering him a contract without knowing if the next manager wants him around is ridiculous and way over the top.
  20. "Greatest ever manager" led us to one point off relegation. The fact that he was sacked against the wishes of the supporters should also serve as proof that what the majority of our supporters want isn't always what's best for this club. ( keep that in mind for Terry's contract situation) Since he's been sacked we've gone undefeated and picked ourselves up again, so the decision to sack him was the right one despite it being against the wishes of the supporters.
  21. Well actually the fact that we're waiting for a new manager to make a decison on this kinda proves that Emenalo doesn't have full control. If he did then why would he need to wait for the next manager ? Only reason to wait is because Emenalo and the board care a great deal about what the next manager wants.
  22. Why ? The club's stance on this is actually a very sensible one. What's the point of giving Terry a new contract when we don't know if our next manager actually wants Terry in the squad ? All of the reasons for why supporters believe he should get one are irrelevant as the only thing that counts is this : Does our next manager want Terry in the squad ? The club can't answer that at this moment so they're holding off on making a decision until they know the answer. and before anyone says "well why did Ivanovic and/or Cahill get a new contract ? The board doesn't know if the next manager wants them either ?" Well while that's indeed true Cahill and Ivanovic are both younger and if the next manager comes in and says he doesn't want them then we can still sell them. Both still have some value on the transfermarket. Terry, at 35, simply does not.
  23. Yeah i know. It's just the "lack of commitment", " heart isn't at Chelsea" crap that annoys me. You're right though should just try ignoring them.
  24. Everyone is indeed entitled to have an opinion on the matter but i never said you couldn't have one now did i ? I just simply gave mine. Well it's not that funny cause the point i made was about your claim that Hazard was "absolutely useless at everything he attempts". I brought up the stat because, atleast for me, it proves that your claim is extremely exaggerated. How can a player that's second in most chances created (for our team) and only created 3 chances less then Willian (player in his best form and first in most chances created) be "absolutely useless at everything he attempts" ? That was my point. I'm not saying Hazard's been better or just as good as Willian this season or that he hasn't been poor. You say there's no excusing the whole squad but if you blame the whole squad then why are you only singling out Hazard ? Why is he the only player you're accusing of lack of commitment ? I'm sorry but it's clear to me that you're using double standards when it comes to assigning blame to players. Costa gets a free pass from you because he's isolated and because the midfield is poor but Hazard you accuse of lack of commitment and when i use the same "excuses" you use, to take away the blame from Costa, you say me and anyone else that does is just an apologist. Kinda hypocritical wouldn't you say ? Although i'm guessing that's probably why you completely ingored the part i wrote about Costa.
  25. Aren't you skipping over the fact that Costa had a period where his off the ball movement in the box was non existent ? Kinda difficult to create chances for your striker when he's forgotten what a near post run is. It got so bad that Mourinho got into an argument at a game at half time, think it was against Tel Aviv and then benched him the next couple of games. Seems to me like you're using double standards when it comes to Costa and Hazard's poor form this season. Both have to take some responsibility for their poor form but both have also suffered from the poor team performances. ( and let's face it Mourinho also clearly had a negative affect on the both of them and the rest of the team this season.) You can't let one player off the hook by blaming it all on the team but then hold the other player 100 % responsible and question his commitment. Costa reinvigorated himself under Hiddink. Hazard hasn't really had the chance to reinvigorate himself, under Hiddink, since he still hasn't played much due to his injuries. So how about you give him some time to reinvigorate himself before you write off our most talented player we have at this club. "He looks absolutely useless at everything he attempts" Hazard's been poor this season but "absolutely useless at everything he attempts" ? What a ridiculous exaggeration. Willian in the best form of his Chelsea career has created 49 chances this season (and that's with taking the majority of our freekicks) while Hazard in the worst form of his Chelsea career has created 46 chances with 2 less games played then Willian but sure absolutely useless at everything he attempts...
