Whilst Shaw was a massive Chelsea fan growing up he would have joined United anyway because they offered him huge wages for a start and the promise of first team football. Shaw would have been in the same predicament as Luis. On a different note, would be interesting to see what happens with Zouma if we do buy Stones. Although he impressed when he came in the team last season, he is still raw, especially technically but he is a great prospect and if we get Stones, his game time this season will be questionable. Maybe a loan to another Prem team where he is guarantee first team football on a regular basis would be benficial. Because if things go to plan, him and Stones could be our CB pairing for a good number of years.

Ake and Bamford have not travelled pal. Both have stayed behind at Cobham as part of a loan group under Eddie Newton before going on their respective loan moves. Stated by Chelsea Youth.
-
Where did you get this info from? Ake is not going on loan to Vitesse. Highly doubt it. Most likely will go to a Championship team expecting to fight for promotion. Was highly linked with Boro before but that has cooled down recently but according to the Chelsea Youth twitter, he is likely to go out on loan but presumably to another Championship team if not Boro. Think he wants to stay in England. Bamford to Norwich is not a certainty as well. We wanted him to go on loan to a Prem team but I think we are being careful of who he goes to as we want him starting regularly. Norwich would be good move if he plays but considering they may play with 1 up front a lot, he may be used rotation a lot and not enough starts. Same with most prem teams tbh. Middlesbrough are being tipped by the bookies to sign him on loan again even though their manager confirmed he would not be going back.

Fully agreed. Annoyed the lions have been removed from the socks as well. It looked nice on our socks. No idea why it has been removed. Not a major thing but the sponsors seem a little too high as well and could be balanced by being lowered a bit.

“The world class players that are here and a squad that are capable of winning things year in, year out. The more quality players that are around you, the more quality it brings out in you so I can’t wait to get started and play alongside them." That is basically why he left. Not for money. Obviously he is getting huge wages by City but like I was saying before, he shines with world class players around him. That is why he was so good when Suarez was around and Sturridge managed to stay fit. Last season the inconsistent levels showed because he was around average players. I can guarantee people he will shine big time next season working with the likes of Silva and Aguero around him.

Big wage increase. Living in London. Chance to play some games in different competitions and potentially the league/UCL for the best club in England and medals for winning things.

DDG is most likely going but if they get a top keeper like Lloris they will be fine. I also think Rojo will improve as he adjusts to the PL.

You really do not like Willian do you? But you seem to rate Oscar as the best thing on this planet. Stats are not always the biggest thing. Second half of the season I would say Willian was our best player after Hazard. His dribbling is not great but it is good. His dribbling and balance often means he can shrug off challenges and create chances. Especially when he plays through the centre. He does need to score more, agreed. He is a big game player because he does what Mourinho asks with his defensive work and that is why we have not lost any big games (top 4) in the last 2 seasons. Willian is criticized because of his stats but even pundits who are non-Chelsea fans always point out that bar that he brings so much quality and balance to our team. Yes, Pedro has better stats than Willian but I think you and other people are actually assuming he will lose his place in the team without realising how key he is to Mourinho's plans.

You really chat out of your arse. When Ozil left Real, he was arguably a world class player. Mourinho described him as the best no.10 in world football and Ronaldo was extremely disappointed that he was sold. That says something. However he did not fit in the way Ancelotti wanted to play and because they knew they could get high value for him (£42m) it was in their best interest to sell him. Now same with Sanchez. Just because they sold him to Arsenal does not mean he is not world class. Such a total clown you are, honestly. It is like saying everyone here would want Sanchez and suddenly if he came here you would consider him world class because we are an elite team. Such a bullshit argument. The fact is Barca knew Sanchez was a quality player and yeah you could say world class player but a little behind Neymar, Suarez and Messi and Barca just could not turn down the opportunity to sign Suarez so it was no point keeping him when they could get around £35m for him. Other elite teams did not need him or for financial reasons would not pursue him. Sanchez would have arguably improved us. But because we did not go for him and we are elite that means he is not world class because he joined Arsenal? Di Maria was one of Real's best players the season before he left for United yet United did not qualify for the UCL or any form of Europe. What is your point? He was not world class when they sold him then. Any Real fan would tell you Di Maria was after Ronaldo their best player. Sometimes the lure of playing in the PL is a lot for players. You try to patronize people with your rubbish you post yet I don't think you realise you are the deluded one. The guy who tried to convince everyone he knew everything about Griezmann yet you thought he was right footed. Talk about knowing nothing about football
-
No, after Wilshere he was their best player. I guarantee if you look at the player ratings on different match reports they will agree with me. And just to silence you: I quoted it below. Once again think before you right. This is getting irrelevant now. I am clearly making up quotes acording to you and people who think Sanchez is world class no nothing about football but apparently you did not say this. Bye

It is his first fucking season. If he done that for 2-3 consecutive seasons then yeah you have a point but you can't say he goes missing against too many top teams after 1 season. Yes, I agree he did against some but what is to say next season he will not? For instance if someone said to me Costa does not do it on the European stage because he did not score for us I would refute that and say well he done it for Atletico for a start and either way next season I am sure he will score in the UCL and a few. And no the fact that Sanchez does not score against the big teams does not put him below world class players. Just because he did not perform in all big games does not make him a tad below world class players. That is ridiculous. Sanchez had 2 bad games against us but he had a very good game against City at home and scored a quality goal. He also scored a fantastic goal against Liverpool when they demolished them this season. I still count Dortmund as a big team. They just messed up in the league. They still have a quality players in that team and a world class player in Reus. And like I said if he was not performing in big games for consecutive seasons then you have a point but it is his first season here which he has been fanastic and scored against some big teams. For instance Hazard has not performed on the international stage yet Sanchez has constantly so what does that mean Hazard is not world class? Of course not but you can apply your crazy logic to that. To your second sentence.... I thought we were getting somewhere but once again you are just absolutely hilarious and it feels like I am becoming part of a circus entertaning a clown. You contradicted yourself once again. You said to Pizy: "highly overrated player and if you think he is world class you either know nothing about football or have very very low standards of what you think a world class player is". And now you just asked me to clarify who did you accuse of not knowing anything about football? Yeah, I am really talking garbage... No you either suffer from memory loss or most probably you are just blurting out rubbish and trying to patronise people without actually thinking about what you are typing before you type.
-
And how many players who don't play CF manage to get around 25 goals for the season without 1 being from the penalty spot? I would consider that world class. Not much do and I think the fact Sanchez done that in one season is a reason to be considered world class. I thought he was before he came Arsenal. Not just the fact he scored a lot, he assisted many as well. I think you should watch how you patronise people. You have accused people who think Sanchez is world class of not knowing anything about football and I can assure you there are a lot of people who would consider Sanchez world class. Even Chelsea fans. I just think you are ignorant to accept it.
-
You utter clown. You basically said Sanchez is not world class because he did not perform in big games. You said all good players perform in big games. Go and check then you piled a list of big teams who he scored against you absolute joker so I did the same You are bloody hilarious. Are you actually reading the shit you are writing? You said to me earlier before I even mentioned anything about big games, this: ""if you cant perform in most of the big games you play in then you clearly are not world class". Yes you said this! And now you the temerity to state it is stupid to judge a player's world class ability by how they perform in big games. You are confused and hilarious. Absolute clown you are. Go back to the circus and read the rubbish you wrote and how you just contradicted yourself
-
And how many seasons was he in the premiership? Like I said there was a season where people use to criticize Suarez for not turning up in big games. I think the fact that Suarez has only ever scored 2 goals in his career against us explains a lot. He has only scored 1 against Arsenal IIRC to. Like I said and will say again, Suarez was never known as a big player. Most of his goals game against much inferior teams but he is a world class player. Sanchez scored against City, Liverpool, Dortmund and seen as you mentioned Everton (LOL), I will mention that Sanchez scored against Southampton this season too. You really are posting rubbish. I will not continue. It is clear Sanchez is a quality player and yeah I would call him world class but you are just being oblivious to his qualities for the sake of it
-
Suarez did not use to turn up in the big games himself..... Was he not world class? He had a patch when he went off the boil however you are the one who has obviously not watched him play if you say he does not offer anything. He works his socks off constantly throughout the match and is constantly wanting the ball and when he loses it he chases it. Your criticism of him is beyond ridiculous imo.
-
Well I reckon Hazard is the best player in the league and thoroughly deserved his POTY award even if Sanchez did score more goals from open play but some the stuff you have said about Sanchez is ridiculous really. He got 24 goals and 12 assists in his first season for Arsenal. Maybe the 'world class' term if thrown around to often but no one is ludicrous to say Sanchez is world class. He is a fantastic player and pretty much does everything. Yeah there were big games he did not turn up last season but that does not mean he is not a quality player. Costa did not turn up in some big games last season but for me he is still one of the best strikers in Europe. Even the season before he came to Arsenal from Barca he got over 20 goals. How can you say he is overrated when he does that and he is not even a CF bemuses me.

Diego Costa looks so menacing
-
He probably would have joined Real anyway. Real would have bid for him even if we bid for him first. Remember he rejected City for Real and had a very close relationship with Pellegrini. Real Madrid always or most times will have the advantage of acquiring the best talent on the planet because of the lure and size of the club. Also, he is Spanish as well. Was always going to end up there.
-
Then he may have had a lot to learn but he was only 23 without much games. It is clear that after playing regular football he has become one of the best LB in the league. In the match we played against them at the Bridge, I personally thought he had a good game and remember Azpi being caught out a couple of times but luckily we were never punished but sometimes we just could not handle the threat of their plays down the flank and he was their key asset and many times they exploited that area. Even if he does have the slightest defensive issues, he is probably the most effective full back in terms of being effective going forward and defending. I have always been impressed by him and as much as I appreciate having Azpi here if I had the choice I would never have sold Bertrand and had him as our first choice LB as he is homegrown, fantastic going forward and like I was saying, overall I think a very good defender. I reckon him and Hazard would be a dream link up when attacking.
-
You have a point tbh. I was very impressed by Aranguiz in the Copa America but buying him for that much and bringing him into the toughest league in the world is two different things. PL is much more physical and with many players from abroad, they need time to adapt. I think it would be harsh to call it a ridiculous deal but I still will not be certain of how much of an impact he makes because of the aforementioned reasons. However if it is true that we are going after him I trust the club scouts and the decision made and will support the player but similar to what you are saying, if you were watching the Copa America you would think Eduardo Vargas should be hot property for the big clubs around Europe but nearly every single club he has gone to in Europe has been a failure for him. That is why you have to be careful when judging players on tournaments like these.

Bertrand never had a bad game for us. He rarely got starts and when he came in done very well. That season when we won the UCL, he came in to rotate for Cole against Arsenal in a 0-0 draw at the Emirates and got MOTM. In his few appearances here he performed very well. I would love to hear people's reasons why they think he is not good enough for us. He is very good defensively. Maybe Azpi is better than him defensively but that is probably because he does not venture forward as much and is less likely to get exposed. Going forward, Bertrand is probably the best offensively full back/LB in the league. Luis now, is good defensively. Was exploited a few times when he played for us but majority of games done well. Decent going forward, but does not excel in this apartment however I don't see the qualities most LB have over Bertrand. Like I was saying, he is probably the best attacking LB in the league yet he still does his job defensively. There is no coincidence that he was part of the team who had the best defensive record in the league last season.
-
Ivanovic is more of an untouchable than Azpi. Started every league game last season and when it comes to rotation Mourinho would play Luis at LB and still play Ivanovic at RB.

Sterling scores goals, that is the thing. He can work on his finishing but Sterling is a much more capable scorer than Arda. Arda only got 3 goals last season in all competitions (2 in the league) and the season they won the league he scored 9 (3 in the league). Sterling in a poor team got 11 goals last season (7 in the league). The season before he got 10 goals (9 league goals) despite only getting into the team late December. There is a difference. If you got 9 league goals from a player you would be quite happy with that. Especially at the age of 19. Like I said, Sterling can improve on his finishing like Hazard but Hazard and Sterling are much more goal scoring threats than Arda Turan is. I think Sterling will end up at City and he will be playing in a much better team. I think he will score a lot of goals down there. Considering how well he done when he had Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho around him, with the likes of Silva, Aguero, Toure and possibly more quality additions, I think his game will go up another level.
