Fabregas was my MOTM. Thought he had a very good match. Poor game from Hazard but I will excuse him on the fact that he has been brilliant all season and played every league game for us without rarely being subbed. Holiday mode for him. He just did not seem to want the ball today. A shame we will miss out on the 90 point mark but oh well we are the champions. Looks like we will be the only team in the league unbeaten at home this season assuming we don't have a repeat of Sunderland last season. Excellent to see RLC starting as well. Great for everyone associated with the club :blue scalf:

He has got that in his range. Even if it does not pop off. He has done it many times before. For instance the pass to Drogba last week. I wish Drogba had scored then maybe people would stop trying to mock Mikel.
-
That goal has taken him all clear as the highest PL scoring defender in PL history on 39 goals. Was equal with Unsworth on 38 before today. Excellent :blue scalf:
-
He started last week. Just had a bad game and was subbed off at H/T.
-
Well done. You lot just always find a way. I was particularly pleased with Van Aanholt as he was part of our youth set up. He was teriffic.
-
Prepared to be disappointed then. Great talent but apart from training with the first team, he will not be involved in the matchday squads.
-
LOL. Atletico are not some championship team. They are an established European team now. Ake or Bamford would be a logn shot away from making their team. Ake and Bamford would be wasted there. It would never be a realsitic option anyway because it is an avenue that both teams would not explore.
-
Benteke does not strike me as the type of player to play second fiddle. He would only go to a team where he will start. No chance of this transfer happening.
-
Eriksen has been very inconsistent this season. He has 1 good game then disappeares for the next 5. Spurs fans have been giving him stick recently for his performance sin the no.10 role. Coutinho has surpassed Eriksen imo. I do like Eriksen but in no way has he had a better season than Coutinho.
-
That team is never going to happen. Total myth.
-
Agree to disagree then but if you asked me what I look for from a no.10 out of the two, I would take Coutinho all day long. Coutinho may not have the same defensive work which I think is a little overrated comparison anyway however Oscar does not have Coutinho's creativity or dribbling skills. I just have not been impressed with Oscar this season and even for the games where we have said he done well, for instance the game against United couple weeks back people said he had a good game for doing that pass which was delightful but apart from that he does not really influence the game. I just think we need a better no.10 because Oscar is way too inconsistent. His form may go up and down but like I was saying earlier, you put Oscar into Liverpool's team and I don't see what he will add. Not because he is a bad player but he is not a player I see who can make a real difference unless he is surroudned by quality players. Coutinho on the other hand, if he had better players around him, he would have more goals and assists to his name.
-
Yeah, he started of slow but when BR found a formula with how to play with Liverpool, he started to shine and perform. I don't think he is overrated at all. I use to be critical of him but when I have watched him I just think he is a superb little player. You just have to look in the Sterling thread when I was arguing with Nike about how inconsistent Coutinho is. That was a few months ago. Now I change and say he is carrying Liverpool and he has a lack of quality around him. Coutinho was Liverpool's best player by far in the City game at Anfield. Ripped them apart. Best played in the 2-2 game against Arsenal. Best player on the field in our COC 1st leg game against them. He also has scored some fantastic goals this season. Coutinho has added genuine quality to Liverpool. Where you think Coutinho is overrated, that is how I feel about Oscar. I think he is a decent player but is made to look good because of the quality players around him. The games where I have mentioned where Coutinho performed excellently, I have never seen Oscar perform like that. That is a fact, not an exaggeration.
-
I am a big fan of Sterling but this season he has been outshone by Coutinho. Sterling by his standards has been below par this season. Any Liverpool fan will tell you that. Coutinho will get their POTY. He has been much better than Oscar though. His performance against City was top class. Right now, there is not even a debate imo of who has had a better season out of the two. Coutinho has been fantastic.
-
Who is then? Coutinho has been Liverpool's best player by far and been much better than Oscar this season. Coutinho has been the shining light in an average season for Liverpool and has stepped up in the absence of Suarez and Sturridge for most games. You mention he has been poor recently. He was their best player against QPR and even the game they lost against Hull, I heard he was Liverpool's best player by far and caused Hull plenty of problems. On top of that Oscar has been worse than Coutinho this season and far too inconsistent. Bar the defensive side which Coutinho has actually improved on Coutinho is better than Oscar in most aspects of his game. You put Oscar in Liverpool's team and there is no way he would be able to do what Coutinho does imo as he does not have the same creativity, flair, skill. Coutinho has massively improved his technique as well this season. Just look at some of the goals he has scored.
-
We have that already...

It is crazy to think how people write of a player because of 1 average season. Are people seriously forgetting how good he was at Tottenham? When you go to Real, you are not the big star anymore. He is one of them and he is not as big as Ronaldo. However even he has his flaws in an apparent 'average season' he still has 17 goals this season and 10 assists and will have more by the end of the season. Last season he had 22 goals and 16 assists. That is bloody impressive. Real fans can jeer him but in the long run he will be beneficial to them as Ronaldo is 30. Ronaldo will still be playing to a very good level at 34-35 I think because of how he conditions himself but I think they will regret selling Bale if they chose to. Many of Ronaldo's goals are all down to Bale as well. Remember his last season in the prem before he left for Real he scored 26 goals and made 10 assists. If those stats don't mean anything then really....... Not only does he score goals but his pace and ability to get past his man would create loads of goals for Costa and co. Add to the fact that he is a goalscorer as well. I don't understand why people would not want want him here. He would add much more quality to our team and dealing with Hazard and Bale would be a living nightmare. The thing is about football with a lot of fans, is that they are very unforgiving. You see a player have a dip of form and write him off without ignoring his qualities and what he has done. Bale is only 25 as well. Will improve.

Jose Mourinho: “His experience this season has been magnificent. “In my opinion, next year, he has two ways to go. One would be a big mistake and another one is the correct direction. “To go on loan for a Championship team, or to another team in England or in Europe, would be a big mistake. “Staying at Chelsea, training with the first-team, having pre-season with the first-team, some periods cover to the main strikers, playing for the U21s and U18s every week. “I think he would never need to go out on loan and just go step by step here and in a couple of years he’ll be a first-team player. “When there is a player like Solanke or Loftus-Cheek, this kind of player that we know for sure they have potential to play for Chelsea one day, I think when they are so young it is better for them to stay and develop at Chelsea.” There is your answer mate.
-
It is all well with our fans hoping youngsters feature from the start but it is just not going to happen. We have the league won but Mourinho will still want to get as much points as he can and will most certainly be playing his best team with maybe couple changes which does not feature youngsters. We have a home record to protect and there are points to accmulate. There is no way we will be seeing the likes of Ake or RLC from the start. Just not going to happen. The only realistic game where I can see one of them starting is our final game of the season against Sunderland. While I want to see youngsters come through I don't want to see them play just for the sake of it because we have won the league. I would like to see us beat Liverpool with our best team tbh and last day of the seaosn then see younsters play.
-
You obviously did not see the long pass he did for Drogba. Was an excellent ball. Drogba just was not able to get in under control. Had he scored that, we would all be talking about how that was one of the best passes of the season.
-
IMO, he has had a good game. Anyway, like I said before if Lampard lifted the PL trophy with City I could not bare to see that however he joined them and not won any trophies. City have performed well below par in every single competition he has taken part in. Karma right I will take that. Always will be a legend in my eyes. All his trophies in England came with Chelsea and not one other team. Your forgiven Lamps.
-
Nice to see him displaying his fantastic passing range again. Been seing signficant improvements in our last 3 games. Doubt he will get the assists record but some of his passes over the season has been sensational. His assist for Schurrle in our opening game will never be forgotten.
-
Love Terry's indirect for Benitez there Champions!!!!!!!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: Nothing but deserved. Now we have the title wrapped up I hope we just play with total freedom in our following games. I still want to see us wipe the Scousers next week. Fuck what the other fans say about our football. And to the Arsenal fans it must really hurt seeing Fabregas win the PL title in his first season at us. Boring, boring Chelsea :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf:

Regardless of what he says, he must feel completely mugged off. This is one of the best LB in Europe around and although we have had 3 games in 1 week he has not started a game. Azpi has been fantastic but there is no harm in giving a very good LB the odd start and rotating. It just seems what was the point in paying this much for a LB that was never going to play. It is not as if he has been poor as well. He has been very solid for us when he has played.
-
That is really going to dent Cuadrado's confidence. We got the lead which means Palace have to open up more and that would have probably given Cuadrado a platform to have more space on the counter etc. Feel for him.
-
We have got what a lot of us were crying out for. A trio of Hazard, Willian and Cuadrado. Massive opportunity for Cuadrado. Hopefully his season starts today. He has got the ability.
