Gus Poyet... "Call the reporter an ostrich at the next press conference" Nigel Pearson
-
He was relatively unknown then and because he is so damn ugly he would of struggled to get sex/pussy. As soon as he made it big time, he didn't need to watch porn anymore, as sex came easy to him. You get it now why article says he 'used to watch porn'?

No, but the situations are similar. Sanogo was sent on loan there because Wenger thought he would be a regular. Because there other strikers were so bad before Glenn Murray returned from his loan at Reading, he was put straight in the team but then after struggling for the first couple matches he never regained his place in the team. Hopefully Bamford scores down there but this is the Prem and he is competing with several strikers there. It is easy to say he is better than all of them but he does not have prem experience and it will not be a simple case like Lukaku of being guaranteed a start in his loans. He will need to work for it and right now if Murray stays (has been linked with Bournemouth) he might start of as the no.1 striker because of his form for Palace towards the end of last season. Anyway, if Bamford is good enough to make it here he will score goals down there and then we should have nothing to worry about with how much starts he gets at Palace.
-
He definitely has a serious chance of being a regular there but he will have to score. If he goes on for 2 games without scoring he might lose his place just like that. Look at Sanogo. Easy to say he is an awful striker but Wenger said last season when he loaned him out that he wants him to go a prem team. He started their first couple games I think then after when he failed to score all his appearances were off the bench. But Bamford is a natural goalscorer. This is the prem though so will be interesting to see how he develops but one thing I am sure on is that unless he is scoring on a consistent basis he will be rotated regularly. Hopefully he has enough starts and goals for the loan to prove a successful one.

Awful pass by him there which led to Southampton's third goal. Has been difficult for him and especially Brown tonight who has rarely got forward at all this match and his virtually been invisible. Baker done a few passes but has not been able to make a real impact on the game. The gulf in class is quite clear though. This is prem class opposition and this will be a hard but positive learning curve for our loaness.

Cahill has scored some quality/good range goals before that none of our CB are able to do. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I see Cahill as a ball playing defender who has some technical qualities. Both the wiki and Chelsea wiki page describe Cahill as a defender with technical ability as well. While you may have seen him lose possession I have seen him numerous amount of times play himself out of trouble and use the ball well whereas other defenders who are not really good on the ball would simply just kick it out. Cahill is not the quickest but he is not a slouch either tbh. Whereas you don't see Cahill run with the ball, I have seen him carry the ball out of the defence numerous amount of times.
-
Going to need to score regularly to keep his place. They have so many strikers and the thing is they only play with 1 striker up front which makes it more of a challenge.
-
I probably am getting the two confused as I am saying Cahill is a better ball playing defender. But generally, he is a much better technical player imo and that is how I would describe Cahill. A ball playing central defender. His technical style is evident by the goals he has scored in his career. For instance the goals against Tottenham, Reading (a bit of luck), PSG. Remember his goal for Villa against Birmingham some years ago? What a fucking goal. That being said, I still think personally he is one of the best technically defenders in the league. I don't see how people think Cahill does not have technical ability. Zouma is no way for me better technically than Cahill. I have seen countless times where Cahill does not simply bow down under pressure and kick the ball out but he is assured and uses his feet well to pass the ball to another member. I think he is the best defender in our team with the ball. Terry is the best distributor of the ball but in terms of actually using the ball well, Cahill is the best imo.
-
He does back off a lot but what I mean in terms of pro-active is that he does not just boot the ball out and he is a ball playing defender. He has the confidence to carry the ball out. Zouma for instance does not have the technical qualities to make him a ball playing defender while Cahill does

Silva is an excellent player but I don't think he is the same class as Hazard. Hazard has everything. Silva is good at passing and close ball control but does not have the acceleration with the ball Hazard has. For instance if Hazard and Silva swapped teams, I think City would be on another level. Hazard has vision, dribbling, great balance, can shoot with his left or right foot and just has everything in his locker. Silva on the other hand scored quite a few last season compared to previous ones but whereas I see Hazard being able to be a game changer, for instance with what he done against Arsenal and Barcelona where he beat 3-4 players and scored, I can't see Silva doing that. Because he is not a fast player and is not the type of player who can run past 3-4 players. He relies on his close ball control whereas Hazard has an excellent burst of acceleration that combines with his excellent close ball control. That being said both are great players but on individual ability, I just think Hazard has much more qualities than Silva.

Oscar is not one of our best players. I don't understand why you categorize him in the same boat as Fabregas, Matic and Hazard. Fabregas was quality for us last season on a whole despite struggling a bit more in the second half of the season. Matic is one of our most consistent players and arguably one of the most important if not. Hazard was consistently quality for us. Oscar will come good but he has not been quality. He already lost form. Willian imo is more of a key player for us than Oscar. I get you like him mate but he has not earned that status yet of being a key player. He is a good player but he has lost form for the last 2 seasons and on the other hand like I said he has glimpses of brilliance. If you add Oscar there, Willian should be there. And to twist it a bit more, if Oscar produces for us on a consistent basis and we get more goals from Willian we will be very good.

Cabaye already spent 2 seasons on the bench at PSG. A club he so wanted to join and he rarely got played. He was not going to settle for that again, hence why he went to Crystal Palace where he is guaranteed starts.
-
Just don't. You are scaring the shit out of me. I hope not.
-
Come on ffs!! Started so well now we are just being outplayed by their youngsters and co. United's second string were able to finish Barca off while their first 11 in the first half were leading. I know it is pre-season but it would be nice to get a message out.
-
Fair enough because he even plays Phil Jones at RB ahead of Clyne which is ridiculous. But that being said, Cahill is definitely the 2nd best English CB for me. Stones may eventually be better but right now he is hardly an upgrade over Cahill. Cahill is not a world class CB but he is not as average as some people make out on here. He and Terry and were big factors in the many clean sheets we kept last season.
-
That goal he scored in our game against Barcelona reminds me of his run against Arsenal in our 2-0 victory last season where he took the ball past 3-4 players and ended up getting fouled by Koscielny in which he scored the resulting penalty. Fantastic player. Such a joy to watch.
-
Our away kit looks much better when you actually see it in live being played by the team. Initial impressions of Kenedy, impressed must say. Got a good size about him as well.
-
He is. That is why he their first choice CB. The others have been rotated. Stones may have a much higher ceiling but i would not say he is better than Cahill right now.
-
Amen
-
I think he will easily get into double figures for City next season. I am talking league goals too. Went for a huge fee but I have no doubt he is going to be a huge success there and shut people up.
-
He may have those traits that Fabregas does not but once again my point stands, you put him in no.10 in our position and he strugges. I recognise he has those aforementioned strenghts but like Fabregas the game would pass him by because you are putting a dictator in the no.10 role which means unless you have a like for like replacement you will struggle to get the ball. Verratti would be no difference to Fabregas although I do acknowledge your points that he has those abilities Fabregas does not. However can you imagine him playing a no.10 role for us with Matic and Mikel behind him. He would do all the chasing, put in tackles but the amount of times he touches the ball would be very limited becasue of the struggle we would have to keep possession.
-
I get you like him, I do to but stop overrating all the positions he can play in to an effective level. Yes, DM and CM he is comfortable in. If you played him consecutively in AM against good teams he would find it difficult to influence a game and you are not getting the best out of him.
-
Yeah, I never said they were similar players. My point was that PSG utilize him to his strengths while we only utilize Fabregas main strengths in games against much inferior teams. When we play teams with similar qualities like PSG, he is not played in his favoured position while Verratti is. Fabregas is a dictator, not a chaser.
-
No way. Zouma is not pro-active at all. That is his limitations. He is not a technical defender. Cahill is a pro-active defender. Maybe not the best, but certainly better with the ball than Zouma. You must be getting Zouma confused with Ake because as promising as Zouma is his ball qualities are not as good as Terry and Cahill.
-
No he should not. He should have to work for his place. Cahill was very strong towards the end of the season. Cahill and Terry is our best CB pairing. Yeah, he can make mistakes but the way people dismiss him as some below-average defender is ridiculous. There is a reason he got in to the team of the year and Terry praises him so highly.
