4-2 win for Atletico. Courtois is 90 minutes away from the Europa League final. We should of signed Falcao, whatta player.
-
Villa is still recovering from injury, he'll most likely be back 1st week of May. I'm expecting to see Pique playing in the return leg.
-
Hopefully we win, but wouldn't be surprised if it's a draw.
-
Good win. With a decent referee and no more injuries, we might be able to defeat the great Uefalona.
-
True, they could swap bench for bench.
-
Of course you wouldn't care if he leaves, even though he's our best young striker. We let go of Borini, we'll probably sell off Lukaku in 2-3 seasons due to lack of playing time to some German or Spanish club and considering we're about to sell Sturridge, we'll be left with a 30 year old Spanish dude who doesn't look capable of scoring 15 goals in a season.
-
Don't see us winning the tie over 2 legs. 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, then a big loss at Camp Nou.
-
Johnson's pretty average, hope he doesn't join Chelsea, he'd be better off at Everton/Sunderland. Hope we keep Sturridge, the kid has loads of talent. Form doesn't really matter that much, he's still learning/developing at the age of 22.
-
You're right, we don't really need another CB and if we do require additional cover next season, Tomas Kalas should be coming back from his successful loan spell at Vitesse. We should focus more on our midfield & bringing in some proper wingers before we worry about our defence.
-
Javi Martinez would be a good fit but Bilbao aren't gonna sell him on the cheap...hence not sure if Chelsea are gonna spend close to 30 million on him. As for Luka, he might be interesting in moving to Chelsea but Spurs won't sell him to us.
-
He'd be a solid buy. He's got talent. Looks like he'll be signing for Arsenal or PSG in the next transfer window.
-
Not his best night for Atletico but he's had a very good season so far. Hope he gets another season on-loan before coming back to Chelsea and competing with Cech for the #1 spot.
-
Would be great to see him at Chelsea...but I'd expect him to stay in Serie A.
-
Expecting a loss against Spurs.

Injury Latest - Terry, Sturridge & Romeu out injured.

Extremely worrying. We need our Captain, Leader, Legend on the pitch. Isn't David Luiz carrying a knock on his ankle as-well? -
Well if we actually give a chance to our brightest talents, we have a bright future. If we don't give them chances, they'll get frustrated & leave, then we have a bleak future.
-
He'd be a good signing but i hope that Piazon and McEachran's chances of breaking into CFC's first-team XI are not greatly affected by his possible arrival.
-
Yep, never understood why Johnson chose City, I mean apart from money, he's not suited to their tactics. Decent winger, should of chosen a club that uses wingers properly.
-
Exactly. They don't need anymore wingers..unless they are planning on selling Di Maria & Callejon in the next transfer window.
-
I thought Liverpool were using the 'Moneyball' strategy...even though it hasn't worked out for them.
-
As long as Laurent Blanc or some other average dude isn't our next manager. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to give RDM the permanent position, he's not world class or even that great but when you think about it, which world-class manager would want to join Chelsea FC? I don't see Guardiola leaving Barca anytime soon...and if/when he does, he'll probably take over from Fergie.

http://www.soccerpunter.com/soccer-statistics/Europe/UEFA-Champions-League-2011-2012/team_info_overall/661_Chelsea_FC Meireles is the only player on 4 yellow cards, so he'd be in danger of being suspended for the Semi Finals.
-
I wouldn't mind looking at Yann M'Vila for that CM/DM position in our midfield, he's got some serious ability & by recent reports, it seems like he'd be interested in moving to a 'bigger club' (Arsenal, Juve, Milan, even United have had a look at him).
-
Rebuilding of Chelsea and players who you want out or in?

Mikel should stay. Meireles hasn't done anything of significance, wouldn't be the worst thing if he was sold & maybe he could take his Portuguese mate Bosingwa with him, might open up a bench spot for McEachran/Piazon next season. Hopefully Malouda FINALLY leaves the club. -
Agreed there.. As for Josh, he might not be confident atm, he might not have the physical presence required to be an EPL midfielder just yet, but he's still only 19. We should loan Josh to a Championship level side, he should be able to get some much needed game time with at least one of those clubs.
