Arsenal just want him as backup for Walcott/Gervinho on the wings & backup for Van Persie at CF if he gets injured like previous seasons. Don't really see much point in signing him, he'll probably be at the same level as Kalou.

Wouldn't say signing Benayoun was a mistake, he's an experienced midfielder who is useful on the pitch and a good squad player to have at your disposal, kind of like that South Korean fellow at Man Utd,....but we failed to use him properly.

Courtois is fine at Atletico, he's enjoying his football and he is pretty much established as their #1 keeper. If an EPL club wants to sign him on loan with guaranteed playing time, so be it...i doubt Chelsea would loan him to Qpr after the whole Terry-Ferdinand thing.

Rather than giving so much game time to Torres who is still a massive flop, we could of given Lukaku the chance against the weaker EPL sides. Would be awesome to see Drogba & Lukaku playing upfront together, but i doubt that'll ever happen....Drogba will probably leave for China and Lukaku will become a forgotten man at Hamburg.

Think Van Aanholt's future will be at LW. I just don't see him becoming a quality LB at Chelsea. His development has stalled & now is the best time to make a decision about his future at the club....do we help him convert into a LW or do we sell him off.

Exactly, he doesn't fit into Chelsea's tactics. Hope he leaves cause I don't see him leading the line for Chelsea and his skill set will only get worse season by season.

How do you know that Bertrand will be used as a LW in front of 90,000 fans at Camp Nou? Would be a good option but don't think he'll be a starter against Barcelona. Anyway as long as we soak up the pressure & have a decent referee, who knows, we might just make it to the UCL final.

Messi will always attract a bunch of players whether he's having a good game or a poor game BUT I think Alexis Sanchez could be the decisive factor at Camp Nou. He's just an awesome player.

Kalou would be just as ineffective as Mata, probably worse. Mata has the ability to pull off something brilliant & if he does manage to get a touch of the ball, I'm sure he'll make a better decision than Kalou would ever be capable of.

Well in that case, you'd want to use Essien (defensive & physical) or Romeu (more defensive).

Don't think De Bruyne has anywhere near the level of talent of Schweinsteiger....and we don't really need him to play a deep role, he'd be much more useful on the wings if you consider that we don't really have any effective wingers at the club apart from Malouda.

Not sure if Pep wants to come to Chelsea. If he can help some of our youngsters break into the first team as well as get rid of the players that are simply past it (Kalou, Malouda, Bosingwa, even Torres).....then he should definitely be considered as Chelsea's next manager....but RDM has done well so far, particularly with the defensive side of our game.........anyway, who knows what Roman is thinking at the moment.

True, he is selfish but he'll be our best option at CF from next season if Drogba decides to move on. Just wondering....if Newcastle can sell Carroll for 35 million, then we should be able to sell Sturridge for around 25 million.

No-one is expecting the likes of McEachran, Kakuta to play 50+ games a season. As long as they get Fa Cup/League Cup games, the odd start in the EPL (against weaker teams) & some minutes off the bench when we look comfortable...that should help them integrate with the first team..and who knows, in 2-3 seasons time, they might be ready to start fighting for a regular spot in the first team. I agree with Piazon & Feruz not being ready for the first team. Piazon needs a loan spell in a competitive european league & Feruz is only 16, hope we nurture this kid properly, he looks like the real deal.

Exactly. A win would be great this weekend, as that would put us on 60 points...and considering that Newcastle are taking on Stoke/Spurs are taking on QPR... there is a chance that one of those 2 teams will drop points this weekend!

What's all this fuss about Adam Johnson, he's not that great of a winger...and besides, it'd be better for Chelsea to perhaps use the likes of Kakuta, Kevin De Bruyne on the wings next season. Sturridge's future is at CF, not RW. He should definitely be given a chance at CF, when Drogba leaves for his final payday. We should just convert Torres into a RW, he's definitely got the energy, workrate...and considering he plays for the team, he just needs to learn how to cross the ball.

Guardiola won't join us. I see him going to Serie A or making a bold move to Mexico where he is wanted as a Director of Football by a few of the clubs.

Well...when you get 2 penalties at your home ground (like Barca did against Milan), it gives you a much greater chance of 'scoring goals' & hence winning the match...and what's to say Barca's players don't take a few dives in the penalty area against Chelsea?

Hope RDM gets the job on a permanent basis, he knows the players, he loves the club & I reckon we're better off with RDM then Laurent Blanc, Rafa Benitez or some other average manager.

We shouldn't be expecting Lukaku to become our new Drogba because you can't replace great players, you can only fill the gap left by them. Just hope Lukaku gets a chance to shine for Chelsea in 2-3 seasons time.
