  1. Luiz - Lampard that's a better pivot
  2. Already hoofing it long. Play it on the floor lads. Involve the amigos
  3. Worried we could be exposed for pace with JT and Cahill at the back
  4. His game at Liverpool reminds me of his time on loan at Bolton. Seems he plays great for mid-table teams. Also, it was batshit nonsense from Pardew to play the high-line vs Coutinho and Sturridge. all those factors helped Liverpool but yeah, I regret he wasn't given a proper chance here and hope that's not the case with Lukaku, KDB, Chalobah etc
  5. Lukaku's performance makes up for Sturridge's in Liverpool's win.
  6. As you said, he takes a lot of shots and if one of them went in, then we wouldn't be having this discussion. It is a strange one because he seems up for the big games i.e he doesn't go anonymous. He did run clear of the defence for the one-on-one's. It's in the final third where he's had a problem. Against Inter, Robben had a good game. He was consistently beating Chivu on the rigth wing but he failed to deliver in the final third. He had few chances as well. Not as clear cut as WC final but chances nonetheless and he failed to convert. Against Chelsea, with the defence so deep, it was worth it to take a punt from outside the box if there's no passing option. Robben did that 2-3 times but failed. i don't think he's a choker in terms of game-performance but he is a choker with his finishing.
  7. Hull face Championship winners Cardiff on the final day while Zola's Watford are playing Leeds. 1 point separates them. Come on Watford!
  8. Hull Lose! Come on Watford! Automatic Promotion!
  9. Bale winner. No doubt. Fuck You Wigan.
  10. They may not give it to Zola because of all the loans he secured to get that. Vydra - who's been sensational tbh - Abdi etc
  11. Come On! Hold the f*ck on Wigan! 35 more mins. edit: 30 more mins edit 2: 20 more mins edit 3: 15 mins left edit 4: 10 mins left edit 5: 5 mins to go
  12. That performance may indeed have woken us up. Can see Roman going -"Ah. This Lewandowski guy stuffed Real Madrid. Let me check my back pocket. I think I can pay him from here"
  13. Yes but i disagree with your view that he should be played in midfield time to time. why fix what's not broken? he's doing well at CB.
  14. You're confusing Leeds for some other game. Vs Leeds, Luiz played CB and was responsible for the goal conceded - ran with the ball, lost it and the ball was in the net before he could recover
  15. Contract runs out at end of next season. We should keep him as 5th choice if we can't get atleast 5mil as transfer fee. Defence lacks bit of depth with Ivanovic covering 2 positions
  16. Yeah but I would keep Kalas, Omeruo > Bruma
  17. Wow. Straight away you've compared Luiz's performance to Mikel and praised him. Is that a yard-stick of comparison now? Firstly, he's played the bulk of his career in defence and his defensive ability is miles ahead of his ability with the ball. David Luiz should not play midfield unless there is an injury crisis. You don't use your best players as cover for another postion unless you absolutely have to. Take Tottenham for example, they continued to use Gareth Bale at Left Wing even though Assou-Ekoto, their only left-back was injured. AVB used Vertonghen and Naughton at LB, why? Simple - Gareth Bale is their best player. So he plays in his preferred position even though he could be an accomplished Left-Back. The fact remains - This is an experiment and it hasn't been a big success. His best moment in the game against Basel had nothing to do with his position. He's our first choice CB. He shouldn't be used as a utility player
  18. The source (Sky Sports) had quotes saying Hamburg will not bid for him and imo, SkySports is the most reliable source of transfer news now. They don't post silly stuff and wait for quotes and clear-cut confirmations. Also, weaintgotnohistory picked up on that and they're pretty sensible tooo http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/4/26/4269468/jeffrey-bruma-will-not-be-staying-at-hamburg-next-season
  19. Cahill vs Spurs is not getting enough credit. Fantastic technique on that volley. Watched it come all the way down and thumped it
  20. fair points but i will say that we lack that bit of cutting edge up front and Arjen Robben has a good goalscoring record and he's the kind of player who gets on the end of things. imo, we lack any sort of dynamism up-front. As soon as our players take the ball into the final third, there's no real penetration aside from side-ways passing anyway, just putting Robben as an option out there. I will take other Right Wingers over him but if Pep transfer-lists him, then he could be a bargain addition
