  1. Cech Ivanovic Cahill Terry Bertrand Lampard Ake Moses Oscar Marin Torres Bench: Turnbull Azpilicueta Luiz Cole Mikel Ramires Marin This is what I'd play today. League has to take priority now
  2. Ah Yes. That explains plenty of inconsistencies in our financial report this year. btw, the manager coming in will also warrant a sizeable wage. Imagine we sign 3 players, Schurrle, DLP and ST. Can we afford a costly player on all 3 positions? i,e higher than 25mil on all 3 positions? I don't think so edit: Mods move this as well
  3. Lampard and Malouda leaving is a good boost wage-structure wise. We can cover 2 marquee players coming in + spend on 1 more but the issue is the cost of the transfers.
  4. Under Roman rule: Profit and loss 2011-12 Profit £1.4m 2010-11 Loss £67.7m 2009-10 Loss £70.9m 2008-09 Loss £44.4m 2007-08 Loss £65.7m 2006-07 Loss £74.8m 2005-06 Loss £80.2m 2004-05 Loss £140m 2003-04 Loss £87.8m If you look through that, how is it that we suddenly made a turnover of SIXTY NINE million? sure, a few sponsorship deals helped but the CL win was a (i can't stress this enough) huuuge part of the revenue generated. In the next 3 years, Chelsea are allowed to make loss of 36 million pound(?) so I'm not sure how much we can spend.edit:Anyway I doubt FFP will stop Roman from spending but that's another issue.
  5. Yes. It's one thing to say we can get better for 46 million but to say Falcao will not add to the squad is just plain stupid. . Granted that we are a midfield-oriented team but a class striker up-front means that in some games where we're struggling to put away teams, he can nick the points for us. Lewandowski will be real value for money though.

  7. It makes you wonder how a German source has inside information on a Spanish team's Portuguese manager going to England. Spain and English Press are still guessing. Nothing to get worked up over just yet
  8. Never had any in the first place but yes Carragher was an old fashioned cunt
  9. there is a date in april beyond which yellow-card bans are not counted. must be past it
  10. The appeal of Gomez is that he can be our 'Dzeko'. If the management wants to integrate Lukaku into the first team next season, we need another striker at the club because 1. Lukaku cannot lead our attack all on his own for 40 games a season 2. We need depth even if Lukaku can lead our attack for 40 games a season How much would Gomez go for though? Anything higher than 20mil and I'll pass
  11. Jurgen Klopp is fearless. I appreciate that in a manager. If we want another new manager in 2014 or 2015, we should go for Klopp - considering his work at BVB between now and then ofcourse. as for now, i feel the difference in class between Jose and other candidates is very wide. It is a situation where, if we get Jose, we can mount a serious title challenge next year and if we don't, there is very little possibility of a title challenge
  12. Different markets to tap into now. A marquee signing this window can push it to the million mark
  13. The seniors notably missing from here
  14. Tancredi Palmeri on twitter: WOW! PSG would have agreed a 4 year deal with Cavani, according to Radio RMC. For those wondering, Radio RMC is always very well informed on PSG stuffs
  15. The players should be made to watch the DVD of the Liverpool game. Especially Injury time.
  16. A bit unnecessary on Bayern's part. They are a world-class striker away from making a dominant squad and they shell out 37mil on Gotze. Maybe Pep will use him as False 9?
  17. Bayern have pissed 37mil on him though. They really needed a World Class striker.
  18. Out of nowhere - Gotze joins Bayern. Not a bullshit rumour as well. It's OFFICIAL. Pep is walking into a manager's wet dream
  19. Sepp Blatter's official twitter account hacked haha.
  20. Right on time http://www.thefa.com/News/governance/2013/apr/luis-suarez-charge-liverpool-chelsea-ivanovic.ast edit: He'd be as daft as he looks to appeal against this
  21. oh. is the media controlled in any way?
