  1. Oh my word! Football master and overall genius Klopp ended up with the exact same result Conte had at Goodison Park. Something is wrong with universe! 🙄
  2. Criticize all you want, I meant we shouldn't be saying Manager A is better than Manager B based on 1 match from a tie that hasn't even ended yet. Klopp has lost to many lower sides in the past. If a manager manages to beat City it doesn't automatically mean he'd succeed at Chelsea. Would you trade positions right now with Man City or Liverpool? You have positives on either side, and I bet that last season thousands of Liverpool fans would trade their team's place for Conte's. I've heard many of them regularly slating Klopp since the moment he arrived. I can argue on whether Conte was out-coached by some of those Manager, but I gotta watch the 2nd half.
  3. Football matches are situational. Klopp has had his share of bad decisions/games, just like Conte, just like any other manager. Let's not get carried away.
  4. That club offered some sort of stability to its manager. It's not all about spending. Mourinho is also currently above us but he still collapsed while under our board.
  5. I don't think I should waste my time thinking about managers because with this current board no manager on the planet can make us a consistent top team again.
  6. The headline is somewhat misleading though, we still don't know if it's an injury or just fatigue.
  7. Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen sent home from international duty after fresh injury blow 👀
  8. True, but it would be his last resort. He insists on wanting to coach in a competitive league not the "easy" ones so I don't think he'd want PSG. If it won't be Inter then maybe it'll be the Portuguese national team.
  9. Internazionale would take him back in heartbeat I think.
  10. One of Leicester's chances yesterday came from an uncontrolled header from Vardy who was supposed to be marked by Moses. Right after the ball went out Cesar shouted at Moses like a mad man. I freaking loved it!
  11. He's definitely leaving Liverpool some time in the next 2 years. Following the footsteps of Xabi, Torres, Mascherano, Suarez and Coutinho.
  12. I believe that's nobody's fault. The rise of social media platforms has affected the popularity of fan forums.
  13. Who's in charge of TC's Facebook page? 👀
  14. Your original list of our CL campaigns had you highlighting something in a results-oriented way. Later you've given examples about parking the bus. If you want to talk about tactics, this very negative tactic got us to the semis in 2014 and technically crowned us as winners in 2012. That's why I think there's no fluidity in criticising both results and performances at the same time.
  15. 1. No because during the 2004-2010 period we still had a spine in the team that managers relied on. It was still the case until 2012. 2. We should not be ecstatic but at the same time we have plenty of things to be proud of, result-wise at least. You started talking about our results but now you've chosen to make it about our style of play. But since you've mentioned it, all of our negative displays were because of what Mourinho has done upon his return which was sticking to an outdated method of playing. It's only this season that we actually looked like a team that can produce something in a big match since 2013. I can easily make a case for Juventus and Bayern who have been dominant domestically with competitive boards, unlike us. I can easily make a case for Atletico who offered stability to their manager, unlike us, and whom we've beaten this season.
  16. It's downgrading to say we're Arsenal, even in the least serious matter. You cannot just throw this comparison out there. Our record in Europe in the last 8 years may be flawed but you have to remember the circumstances of this period, mainly having 7 different managers in those 8 years, Arsenal couldn't even reach our declining level despite having 1 manager. If anything, we've been the best performing English team in Europe in those 8 years, or we can say in the Messi/Ronaldo era. It's just a reflection of this era: English teams have suffered from 2 big clubs with the best 2 players in the world duking it out while attracting the best talent in Europe in the process. Out of these 8 years only 3 times another club has won the competition besides those 2. It was Chelsea in one occasion and I cannot complain about that. Once this era ends, we'll see.
  17. I believe Luiz would have given away a silly penalty like he did vs Atletico. He lacks composure in this type of matches. There is a reason Luiz and Cahill get "slaughtered" for their mistakes: You don't expect players of their profile and experience to make such mistakes. Without these tough games Andreas will never grow as a CB. Gary and David are both way past their prime, so nothing good would come out of relying on either of them instead of Andreas.
  18. I don't know which is worse: His current level or the fact that his competition is Bakayoko and Drinkwater. I think time's up for him. Reminds me of when Ballack, Carvalho, Deco and Belletti all lost it by the end of the 2010 season.
  19. He was all over the pitch, unreal. Played for 2: Him and Fabregas. I almost cry when I think about it.
  20. If I were Real Madrid I wouldn't even consider him. Pathetic.
  21. Excuse me, are you trying to rub it in or something? Very Arsenal? Arsenal would KILL to be named Champions Legue winners.
  22. I have completely forgotten about Drinkwater, is he injured or just left out?
