  1. I'd say my posts were constructive and by a shared opinion he has not had one stand out game since December 2013, its not a bash, he's a blue, and unless he criticizes the club in public then I'll continue to support him - I'd rather see Oscar improve or get back to his best rather than bash him into oblivion by comparing him with Joe Allen
  2. Bash? Where? Constructive posts are what I see, from me anyway. I think its a shared opinion by most that he has not been up to par for quite a while now. Anyways, Cesc topic.
  3. What does Oscar have to do with it? Seeing as Ramires took Oscar's place in a formation that Oscar would usually occupy, I'd say thats enough to rope Oscar into this and make some comparisons? How long are we going to live off that goal against Juventus? Tactically he has more of a brain than Rami, much more infact however what else does he give us except slowing our play down and pressing that we can all agree is not as good or not as effective as it once was, lets not get hung up on stats. Rami - can't make a two yard pass, offers penetration, drive. Oscar - can make a pass, slows down play, presses the opposition. My point is not to paint Rami as Ballon'dor lol but at the moment, he offers and brings more to the table than Oscar pros/cons wise, although as above, I do miss Oscar's tactical brain in dropping into the gaps defensively however I don't feel its enough to take a place in the team.
  4. Rofl, Rami has always given us that, whether he can make a 2 yard pass is another matter, check through my history of posts on Rami, I'm not his biggest fan but he gives us more forward like Essien used to, breaking away from midfield into the final third. The Oscar love around here sometimes is just too much :'(
  5. Tell me Ozil's is miles below -.-
  6. I actually prefer Willian playing over Oscar but against Everton I see your point completely here, Oscar fills in the gaps and is alot more tactically minded than Rami however Rami just gives that drive and penetration to the final third that Oscar just simply doesn't have (anymore!? )
  7. Worried about the big games thats all, looking forward to our first one so we can see if our team has the backbone.
  8. Falcao - £350k-a-week Rooney - £300k-a-week Di Maria - £250k-a-week Van Persie - £220k-a-week 4 players.
  9. £150k a week equates to £31.2m in wages over the probable four year contract + the £40m transfer fee, its a bit different from the figures of Falcao however I agree I don't think people would be moaning - I think we can all agree though we're happy with how our club is being run at the moment? £800k, not bad.
  10. Probably talking about my own personal opinion, ah yes.. I am
  11. Attracting stars? Hardly, here is the breakdown of his agreement or contract or whatever you want to call it - I'd certainly sacrifice CL football for this... £12m loan fee £350,000 a week wages = £18.2m a year before tax + an agreement to sign him for an additional £51m next year to avoid FFP rules on a four year deal at the same wages which is £91m in a wages total for the five years before tax + £61m transfer fee (Inc. the loan fee) Total investment in a 29 year old striker = £152m *Sources are various, obviously what we have all read just collated into one place. Good player but a risky investment and a heck of alot of money. I'm completely fine with spending £800k this summer (net spend).
  12. 275m euros and Madrid lose 4-2 to Sociedad, defensively a complete mess, I feel sorry for Carlo.
  13. Its not just Saturday its since the start of the season/pre-season. Brain farts.
  14. Worrying. Mikel was such a talent before he came to Chelsea and was forced into a DM role for all his years. Watch Nigeria games, Mikel is a different player - worried MVG is going the same way.
  15. As I said I do worry for Matic due to his such high form last season but we are winning games whilst a few members of the team are underperforming - the best thing about this is that last year we would probably have lost the last two games or drawn them. Hopefully its rust and he can shake it off or its getting used to a less stable formation.
  16. Simply because I prefer when Oscar isn't in the team
  17. His perseverance is Drogba like. (Career wise, just kept going)
  18. From what I've read its £12m loan + £200k a week wages + an agreement to sign him for £51m next year to circumvent FFP Rules this year due to their spending + £200k a week 4 year deal.
  19. £28m Lukaku - "I'm a complete striker" Lol'd. Side note - did anyone watch the MOTD highlights? He was screaming at players to press and he was so angry when they didn't. My god, I think this guy could swing and plant one on my nan's chin and I wouldn't care.
  20. Fades bad as the game goes on, hopefully just early season and getting up to speed fitness wise for the 90 minutes that Jose type of team requires. Impressed as fawk though, above is the only negative.. and aside from the fact I want him to be more like Ivanovic temper wise
  21. Positives and negatives for sure. Glad we are now capable of scoring a few when we are under it though.
  22. To be honest ramires was good there last season but we were always worried about needing him for penetration in the final third even if his passing is woeful. I agree I'm worried about Matic but let's see how the first big game pans out should be a belter, will be won or lost in midfield against city for sure.
  23. I could only see him improving EPL clubs, and we won't do that. Makes sense to keep him until Jan, at the earliest, just incase but I can see him going next summer for £10m or so due to contract length.
  24. I honestly prefer Willian playing over Oscar, I feel we are so much more quicker on the ball and the turnover is snappy rather than Oscar, not hating on Oscar just my personal preference.
  25. Mental, didn't actually think anyone was crazy enough to go for this.
