I do agree though anyone who watches the game can see when he gets the ball there are 2-3 players over to him or they double up or foul him.. now yes its up to him to take the challenge and move into different spaces or pass etc. BUT! Nobody supports him, its not just him though its on the other side of our team too, our RW and whoever plays in the middle, nobody runs ahead of the ball I can only think of Willian doing it leading up to our goal, its not just the Atletico game, its constant in games, its so frustrating hence why we 80% of the time go backwards to go forwards switching to the other side. I just hope in the summer its not just a striker we get, this is obvious that we need 2 strikers of good calibre but also a good player next to Matic rather than the bumbling marathon runner Ramires (Sorry Rami..) but we need a passer/+ someone with stability. Its not just Eden, I repeat, its both sides of our play, Eden just gets the harsher treatment, every game I lose count on the fouls. Understand his frustration but hopefully he sits down with Jose, gets his head down, comes back stronger with Luke Shaw behind him and running infront of him.

To be honest, the way I saw the game and generally Costa is that when things don't necessarily go his way (It was Chelsea btw.. not some la liga team, we were solid and it was a frustrating game) he tries to bully players, as the .gif above shows, it didn't come off as both Terry/Cahill stood firm and said "hold on a minute, we play in the premier league, we've seen bigger than you lad", he went into a shell it seemed for the rest of the match in terms of aggressiveness - this sure wasn't the Costa I'm used to watching. Thats how I saw it anyway

Looked sharp yesterday to be honest, fed on scraps but made the most of what he got. Frustrating game to be involved in.

Not sure what game you were watching he was ridiculously pedestrian, he made some tackles and interceptions of course but as per usual so lax on the ball he is either hot or cold and last night he was below warm! For the game of this magnitude, in the last 5 minutes alone he didnt jump for 2 crosses aimed straight at him for a simple clearance which led to opportunities. Just a few examples, hesitant to go for the ball also. So frustrating because we know his talent exists, I can only put it down to he knows he is going in the summer, last season he bled blue.

yesterday Luiz could not be more frustrating, 2nd to almost every ball, honestly looked like he was out for a walk in the park even when he went to CB, liability - sell sell sell.

From my own personal opinion he's like Bertrand defensively, sometimes I'm really impressed, sometimes I think "Should of done better there" but because he's a Chelsea fan and probably coming to us I keep my blue tinted glasses on. Having said that Cole learnt to defend at Chelsea and became the worlds best left back here, I know his forward play was stifled here during Jose's first coming but we play differently now so I'm hoping he can learn to be solid defensively here coupled with his forward runs so Dave can go back to swash buckling on the right for us, Sorry Brana :-(

As above, agree and disagree, he is a quality CB but not with Cahill, he isn't commanding enough, Cahill looks worldie when he plays with John, simply because John marshalls the back four. Partnerships are everything and Cahill + Luiz isn't a great partnership simple as that. Saying that I would take £40m for him from Bayern/Barca, since he has been dropped etc. he doesn't play with the same tenacity we know him for, understandable. Iva + Luiz + Cech all at fault for the goal in their own ways.

Just think he will never make it here, when he came I was delighted, especially after seeing the video of him at Stamford bridge it was actually quite moving that someone had got their dream and I expected him to give it all his all etc. knuckle down but just seems to go on loan and talk rather than get his head down.

He'll go to Madrid in 2 years, 3 years max, majority of fans I speak to around MHL are of the same thinking too so I don't think it'll be too sad a day with a £100m+ fee in our pockets (going on the rate transfers inflate).
