Would you guys take this? £35m for Oscar from PSG £32m for Barkley Yay or nay? I'd say yes if I knew he was capable of being moulded by Jose to press players.
-
Energetic, quick snappy passing, forward passing. I like.
-
£13m o_o no ty Mr.Levy - as your such good with pricing up players we urge you to reconsider <3
-
I'd use the word bullied, Kompany and Mangala were solid against Diego, out to him quick, nipped infront, 50/50 fouls.. some borderline but I wasn't expecting much from Mike Dean to be honest. Decent job seeing as our entire front line took 1-2 extra touches for 85 minutes :blue scalf:
-
Our entire front line yesterday took like an extra touch, even Costa and I don't see anyone pulling him up on that.. We had a sub par game, City had a kick up the arse since Bayern, got a point
-
Looking forward to seeing him. Two words. CRISP FINISHER.
-
Decent game, I see him as another one Chelsea will make a good profit on

Why wouldn't I want to assess how far we've come since last season employing the tactics we did? Last year we played 07/08 football aside from a few pieces here and there, this season we are a different team with different personnel so yeah I wanted to see what we'd play like, how we'd play like against the champions of the league. Ok thats your opinion on the test this season, and I have mine, that I posted on a public forum. <3
-
Lol? City were fluid, to almost every 2nd ball, pressuring, everything that we weren't. We got a point, undeservedly to coin a phrase by the commentator 'smash and grab' type of game for us. I don't care for the tone of thread only my post, since I post MY opinion and I said it before the game, for ME, it was a test of how far we've come this season since last.. and it wasn't very far, unfortunately.
-
Lets be honest, shambles of a performance from us, I said in another thread this was a marker for us on how far we've come and if we look at it without blue goggles on, it was a mess from start to finish barring a 10 minute spell when they had 10 men where we had the chance to go 2-0. It was an all too familiar reminder of last season. Simple as, a point is a big plus for us.
-
Replace Oscar with Willian and we're golden edit - I want to win this, ofc I do, but I'm taking it more as a measure as to how far we've come in terms of footballing brains, tactics and our change in direction since last season. If we lose and its not by much or we played very very well then I'd be happy with that. Keen to see how we fair playing the way we do this season, just without conceding a ton and getting a tonking
-
Also not seen much of his pace but does anyone know if he's faster or as fast as Dave? He wasn't involved in that many sprints with Sam last night so just wondering if he can cope with Navas
-
His crossing is pinpoint danger almost every time, disappointed we did not attack the crosses better
-
As soon as I saw him on the line up starting I thought "Shit." - he just doesn't have it anymore, does that bother me? not really, does it affect his status as a legend? nope, should he only really be used in the last 10-15 minutes of a game to lump it up or a corner? yeah probably, should he continue to be the leader in the squad along with JT etc.? yes please. Carry on Drogs, carry on.. just try not to start too many matches ahead of Remy.
-
Rofl, absolutely not, Fabregas is not made for the pivot, simple.. and proof is there. Not sure how many times we need to see it? Move him further up and he gets assists, not rocket science.
-
We don't need them both to work in tandem or try to because Cesc just is not that player nor do we want him to be.. I want to see him camped on the edge of their box practically putting balls through the eye of a needle
-
Moving him back was a worry not sure why Jose did that but I thought he had a good game, I'm worried more about the gap between matic and the cb's if I'm honest.
-
I will be utterly shocked if Jose doesn't line up with 4-3-3 on Sunday, surely there is like a 1% chance of that happening? Even less. Neville was harsh but I can't disagree there? I feel its a completely fair assessment of him and Matic in the 'pivot'. Spot on in my eyes and I look forward to seeing 4-3-3 with Cesc getting more assists.
-
Neville, head and shoulders above every other pundit.
-
Buying youngsters, selling them for profit Selling players we publically no longer need for massive profit Tieing important players to long contracts early Operating well within FFP Playing ridiculously good football that my jaw genuinely dropped at (4 games, i know but.. damn, upgrade on last season) Is this real life..
-
Offft, surprised they didn't nail him to the wall for that, not that I think there is anything wrong with handbags, just saying by todays standards a strong breeze makes a footballer fall over and the opposing player incur a 3 match ban.
-
Lampard was awful yesterday, bad luck for City that Toure was rested due to flights etc. Slow Off the tempo Tackling Hope he starts against us. This is my own personal opinion and I know it differs amongst everyone but he dented his legacy (for ME) when he joined City etc.
-
Well, he looked chuffed Saturday.
