  1. I'm using Chrome, and I'm getting that as well.
  2. Arsenal will be fine. I'm convinced Newcastle will be a one-hit wonder, Spurs look like they're about to lose their best players and there aren't really any other contenders for 4th place. Why the hell has he dyed his hair grey? That makes Kalou's spider look conventional.
  3. Just refresh the page. It's hardly a major issue.
  4. I don't like how we're tripping over to ensure he's the main man and won't be challenged. Look at Drogba, he had to fight off so many players to cement himself as first choice striker. His ego can't be that fragile, and if it his, he's a liability.
  5. Don't worry about it. I'm so cynical these days that I work off the assumption that 9/10 are doping. I'm sure PL players, and even clubs, indulge in it. I can 100% guarantee it's happening in Spain though. Operation Puerto busted a Spanish doctor as well as cycling stars (who were instantly exposed- kudos to the UCI on that), tennis stars and footballers that had been involved in a program of doping, all controlled by Dr. Fuentes.
  6. I wasn't talking about the hormones, I was talking about allegations of him/Barcelona still doping. They could get away with it through blood transfusions, which the biopassport cannot pick up. Doping in football and cycling is much more geared towards improving recovery rather than improving physical ability. So if Barcelona were doping they could spend a lot more training time on technique as they wouldn't have to worry about getting players fit for the next game. Here's a brief article on the biopassport:
  7. And re: Messi doping: http://ibnlive.in.com/news/messi-neymar-included-in-fifa-antidoping-trials/203309-5-21.html If they're copying the UCI's methods, as a cycling fan, I can tell you that the biopassport is not reliable and can be cheated on easily.
  8. Perhaps he is telling the truth. They certainly were spoilt seeing guys like Maldini strut their stuff for a quarter century.
  9. Precisely. The players have seized responsibility and played the Mourinho way on at least one occasion (under Grant). He made our club, we cannot change from that style unless we have a complete clear out- 25 players sold, 25 new players bought, all remaining coaches from his era removed, etc.
  10. Who would boo Maldini? What's there to dislike about him?
  11. Also why is it that defenders are never mentioned in debates of GOAT players? This about says it all, I think: IMO Maldini > Messi.
  12. They were fine in WWI and that was won by the Americans, all Britain and the colonies did was invent a way of losing 50,000 men a week. They ballsed up WWII but that war in Europe was virtually single-handedly won by the USSR, D-Day wouldn't have been half as successful if the Nazi's didn't lose huge numbers on the Eastern Front. Anyway, he went to PSG for a reason, to mark his nose literally across Europe:
  13. Nice idea for a thread: 1. Man United- they are the biggest club in the world and for good reason. They will improve, especially if they buy a centre midfielder. I still don't rate Man City. They are vulnerable. 2. Man City- despite their vulnerabilities, the rest of the Premiership are varying shades of wank. They should cement 2nd spot by about 10 points. 3. Chelsea- the brightest shade of wank. I still think we're nowhere near a title winning side at this point. 4. Arsenal- van Persie or not, Wenger will get them here. 5. Everton- always likely as long as they get off to a good start. 6. Spurs- they look to be on the verge of losing their best players. 7. Fulham- is Dempsey off? If so I would have to revise this. 8. Stoke- this will be a good year for them, its about time they built on being mid table for the past 5 or so seasons. 9. Newcastle- one hit wonders. They missed their chance, it's back to mediocrity they go. 10. Wigan- if they can play like they did towards the end of last season, they definitely can get this high up the table. 11. Aston Villa- they have to improve, now McLeish is gone. It's surely impossible for them to be that dire again. 12. West Ham- Operation Allardyce will get them well above expectations. He is a magnificent manager, very underrated. 13. Southampton- they can Swansea their way to playing above expectations. 14. Liverpool- rubbish. Only a few years from battling for relegation. 15. Norwich- get Holt to stop acting the cunt and they should be fine. 16. QPR- they'll shit their way to another escape on the final day. 17. Sunderland- Bruce will haunt them. 18. West Brom- Roy's gone and I don't think Steve can do it. 19. Reading- they may have had good Championship form but I'm not impressed by them. 20. Swansea- no Gylfi or Rogers means trouble ahead. FA Cup: Everton Carling Cup: Doncaster Rovers Champions League: Real Madrid Shock of the season: Newcastle to perform awfully. Promoted teams: Bolton, not sure about the others. Top scorer in the Premier League: Mario Balotelli with 26 goals.
  14. The Shark of Messina is closer to being the greatest of all time than The Messiah.
  15. Steve's uploaded http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/14052-downloads-seattle-sounders-v-chelsea/page__pid__462315#entry462315
  16. That won't last. Give it a few more years, perhaps 6 or 7, and we'll be back to where we were in the mid 2000s. These things are cyclical, and the technical model is approaching the end of its life cycle.
  17. Mad Mike will sort out his transfer policy. Pep would be an unmitigated disaster at Chelsea. We are not suited to him.
  18. Yes he is. It's his best position and no one should dislodge him from there.
  19. Moot point: An issue regarded as potentially debatable, but no longer practically applicable Yeah you're right about youtube, but like I said, only Brazilian posters who've seen this guy play in stadium with the sole purpose of doing nothing except watching him can comment first hand whether or not he's better than Mata. But before that they need to have done the same thing with Mata. Which is why as fans we're usually not great judges of how good a player really is!
  20. What?! I really hate these ITK types. They don't know anything! Moot point. Whether you watch on TV or youtube highlights, you can't know everything about a player unless you watch him in the stadium for the entire match. Focus just on him and ignore everything else, to see how he goes off the ball, etc. TV doesn't show you that, and youtube highlights are of course extrapolated from TV.
  21. We play one up front, taking that into account, 3 strikers are just fine. Even if two are unproven and one has been terrible for some 24 months.
  22. Well, as Bosnia is an FYR country, I think it's likely what with Tito and his decades of anti-fascist 'propaganda'.
  23. He's Polish or something, right? They hated Nazi's.
  24. None of you really believed this would work right? Football is the most corrupt sport in the world. They will find ways around it.
