  1. Its calm now, thankfully the storm blew itself out with very little damage. We had a gust hit 115km/hour; the fastest recorded wind in the city in 26 years. Parts of the city did get hit pretty bad though: A bus got blown off course, onto the power pole. Lucky there was no one walking on the side of the road...
  2. I worked at my uni's bookshop. They sack everyone a few weeks into the semester because people stop buying textbooks after the first couple of weeks, so there isn't the need for a large staff and there isn't a lot of money being made. What an excellent job it was. $20 an hour, on campus, small shifts... I could go to uni, get through my classes and then do a 3 hour shift..
  3. It didn't go in. Fuck the shot. It makes no difference if it was in row z, out for a throw in or off the paint of the post and out- if its not a goal/saved, its useless.
  4. Is there any institution in our country worse than Ch.9? Apart from their cricket coverage, which is brilliant (mainly because of Benaud ), everything else on that channel is wank.
  5. Not a lot, according to their Facebook page. Loads of people have slammed their jingoistic coverage; and Eddie McWanker as the host. Fat prick hates football as its a threat to his beloved Magpies.
  6. What are you on about?! Its 1972 mate!
  7. Right. So a sport that's relevant only to those priveleged few who can afford to buy their children a yacht is more important than the simplest sport on the planet? Of course, Aussie free-to air will do its best to not show anything that competes with the AFL or NRL.
  8. Stop creaming yourselves. Did the shot go in the net? No? Then who gives a fuck how good it was, it simply wasn't good enough.
  9. I hate Australian free to air TV and its anti 'wogball' (thats what the bogans, or roughly 90% of the population call football) agenda. Not one peep at the gold medal match.
  10. What do you want from him? Do you expect him to be some sort of Hollywood wanker? Running 20km per game and winning 100 tackles a game, scoring three 30 yarders a match and pinging spectacular 80 yard through balls? Mikel's detractors should stick to playing FIFA orr watching those Goal! films, where they can realise their delusions of average players like Tiote and Parker somehow being fit to lace the shoes of a European champion.
  11. I'd like to take back all of my previous objections against Moses. I just read that Lukaku's gone out on loan, we need a 3rd striker as soon as possible.
  12. We had no chance of winning the CL at 3-1 down in Napoli. Liverpool had no chance at half time in Istanbul. Football is a funny game, you never know what will happen.
  13. Banned for taking a performance enhancing drug, nandrolone in 2002. That's how he's a cheat. Obviously that doesn't transfer to management but first and foremost, he was a cheater at a point in his career.
  14. It's unlikely, but that would be an incredible bet if Liverpool win the league. 777,000 is a great return.
  15. He wasn't unproven. He captained a CL semi finalist side, Leeds, and had 30 England caps before he transferred to United. He played every match in the 2002 World Cup and Leeds bought him for nearly 20 million- they wouldn't have made a profit if you include wages at 24 million.
  16. Even if Oscar plays as a midfielder, Marin is better than Moses.
