They aren't coaches, managers or scouts. I'd take their words with a pinch of salt.

Sidney Sheldon is excellent. I recommend you read 'The Stars Shine Down', and 'Master of the Game'-his best books, IMO.

Not really. Its more like Liverpool, England on a much smaller scale. Instead of hubcap thieves we have petty street thugs. There are also next to no Anglo Aussies here either. Its closer to Bradford or Birmingham, I guess. And outside of the suburb, the rest of Liverpool City Council is fairly decent. The suburb of Liverpool just happens to be the largest in the Council, the seat of Council government, and also the most economically productive area in Sydney thats not within a 5km radius of Sydney Council. That makes it a perfect place for all sorts of murky corruption (if you remember, one of the 3 brothels in town is opposite the Federal governments dole service and is next door from the MP for the State governments office )- 671 replies

Now I think of it, it does sound pretty suggestive .

No, I'm sick and I haven't left the house. I'm guessing its the one on Hume Highway/Copeland Street, thats the closest station that I know about. I heard a truck flipped off the bridge acrosd the Georges River on Milperra Road and onto the train tracks today. Liverpool really is awesome. Its the dystopic impoverished, crime ridden, migrant destination type suburb, stuff of legend really. You half expect George Orwell to pop out and have a lol .- 671 replies

I always had a bit of fear whenever Drogba stepped up, because of his record of choking when taking penalties for the Ivory Coast. Thankfully he was only involved in a few shootouts in his time here.

Celtic will have a field day in Scotland for the next 5 or so years. Rangers are probably 10 years away from being able to get up to the first division and build a team strong enough to challenge for the title.

Al-Jazeera? They're a top network. I wouldn't mind it at all. Anyone but Sky, really, Rupert Murdoch and anything related to Sky or him makes my stomach turn.

Top 50 is a solid start, something to be built on. I should still be in for another 12 points or so after substitutions and Mata's second game; which could take me into the top 30 and that would be a pretty good start.

I dunno, I just worry sometimes . But if he keeps going straight and high he has a pretty good chance of scoring every time- it takes a huge amount of guts on the keepers part to just stand still when facing a PK, because he'll look a massive tit if the ball goes anywhere else. I'd rather see Cole take them than David Luiz... he just strikes me as the type of PK taker that'll hit the top corner or row Z. If only we still had Ballack, there was a superb alternative to Lampard as a PK taker...

I'd rather Arsenal get him than the dippers.
-
It's complacent, though. With an approach like that he's never far from getting a penalty saved. He should try putting it somewhere else next time he takes a penalty.
-
Frimpong is a little cunt, him and Arsenal can fuck off. You said the same thing about Henri, and BlueLyon. Funny how all the posters you rate highly tend to disappear once you notice them.
-
Torres taking penalties? There's a very, very good reason why he wasn't chosen to take one in Munich. He has all the mental strength of a walnut.
-
Quite obviously. The greatest strikers the league has seen in recent years; Drogba, Henry, van Nistelrooy, have between them only broken the 40 goal margin once (RvN got to 44). Sturridge would be the best striker to grace the league, and the world in general, in decades if he regularly scores 40 a season. Which he obviously isn't; we're talking about Sturridge's potential as good, not all time great.

The real tell will be when we run into October/November, traditionally where we plunge into 4-5 months of viciously shit form.
-
We got the job done at the end, but we shouldn't get complacent though. There is a lot of room for improvement. If we had been up against a competent strike force and not useless wankers like Di Santo and Gomez we could have conceded 4 or 5.
-
I don't know what you've done different today but great work in keeping the site up during the game!
-
Mikel should be our backup striker!
-
I have said this before, but Gomez is tripe. Probably Huerlho Gomes in disguise... I've not seen a worse performance from a striker since the CL final, where his namesake Mario ran the show.
