  1. I, for one, welcome our new Spanish overlords.
  2. http://en.wikipedia....i/Spike_Spiegel Sounds like you
  3. Not sure why we're worried about Ribery tbh. Bos' monobrow ought to be more than enough to keep him quiet. Cole vs Robben on the other wing, that'll be a great battle.
  4. Insert a random philosophical quote and I'll believe you. I'll get you started. "A man's pockets are his own private kingdom"- Voltaire
  5. There can be no harm in resting Cech at all. Everyone banned for the CL has to play these remaining two fixtures, I think. Perhaps give Sturridge a go at the lone striker role, or put him on the wing and let Lukaku and Torres alternate.
  6. La Liga set to overtake the Premiership on the UEFA Coefficient ranking: http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2012.html
  7. Take back that last part about coherency.
  8. You've not been hitting the bottle again, have you? If you are drunk, congratulations. Your posts are more coherent in terms of their spelling and vocab than mine were.
  9. What's all this Frankly Shankly about? Seen you do that about 3 or 4 times now.
  10. He's a defensive midfielder. His only job when on the ball is to avoid making a mistake. There's no DM going around in the world who plays Hollywood balls every time they get the ball, not even Pirlo does that. As was said by a guy on twitter as to what would happen if Guardiola took charge of England: "No, no, no! Stevie! STEVIE! Short pass, no? Short pass? No Hollywood...no...no....NOOOOO! Can we not knock it, no? GARGH!" "No, Stevie! NO! No Hollywood ball! Frank! FRANK! Ah, Mierda!" The FA will not appoint Pep Guardiola as national manager
  11. The Kalou mohawk, as seen in my avatar, is pretty nice. Shame he changed it. Malouda had a fairly similar cut as well:
  12. You ruined it. We had 21 in a row :(/
  13. What's up with the council? If they insist there's a way to expand Stamford Bridge, why can't they make the details public? I think they're on the wind up, trying to keep us in their jurisdiction to earn some cash. But that gives the club a position of power, we can threaten to pull out if they don't lay down and accept what we want in terms of rebuilding/expanding Stamford Vridge.
  14. I shall reply on his behalf (though I did read that link )
  15. Maybe it's because I'm tired, but I don't get a word of that. Now give me a rep
  16. How can I present facts over such a hushed-up topic? No one likes to talk about how this company used a creative accountant to balance their books or that company bought out a government auditor to avoid tax evasion charges. Spike the philosopher
  17. I don't know a lot about FFP either, but you really have to wonder, these guys are happy to risk long jail sentences by dicking around with Federal agents, UEFA will be nothing to them. Beyond that, FIFA and UEFA are probably the most corrupt sporting bodies in the world, even they do catch someone a few million can change hands and no one will be the wiser. This legislation is denied to keep UEFA's earnings high, they always want two big clubs in the final of the CL, they couldn't give a rats arse about trying to improve football. To ensure that they will have two clubs with worldwide reach in the final every single time (leading to huge TV audiences, etc.) they've gone for a system that just won't let anybody else compete. I predict that until these laws are removed, the CL will only be won by the following clubs: Both Manchester's Barcelona Real Madrid Arsenal Chelsea Juventus Both Milan's Roma Anzhi PSG Malaga Porto Benfica Bayern Liverpool ( ) Even then, 3 quarters of the teams I've mentioned probably won't be able to win it. All of those clubs except Anzhi and perhaps Malaga are reasonably well known worldwide, UEFA would obviously prefer Manchester United vs Spanish team every single time but they wouldn't mind too much if a final involved these clubs. Once you start talking about Fenerbache SK playing Newcastle United in the final of the CL, they'll do everything in their power to stamp that out. If you really want to improve the chances of the little clubs, implement a salary cap, or force big clubs to share their income with others in their division. Don't create a system that'll only perpetuate further growths in inequality and maintain the status quo, all the while disguising it as something necessary.
