Well even if we finish second I still would sack him for such reasons I mentioned many times before. A. He can't help us play attacking futbol, his best at being pragmatic. B. He has a poor habit of trusting more on older players then younger players. Case in point Ivanovic. If Mourinho had the same amount of love and patience for someone like KDB, Lukaku, Bertrand and what not he would have gems in his hand. C. Controversial manager, don't like this. So after seeing all this after 3 season, is it really worth to keep going for more years? For me no, it's not worth all the noise he brings. We can do the same work with all this less fuss with a manager like Klopp or whoever. Because every manager will always have bad seasons, but in the bad seasons you want to see progress. With Mourinho there is no progress with youth or attacking futbol. He rather run his mouth which frankly gets boring after 3 years.

Well if end of the December still in the same rut then sack the guy, get a new manager and go wild the January transfer window! But seriously Mourinho ain't that bad to finish out of top 4, and neither is our squad.
-
Yeah people here are brutal! I admit I can also go a bit, but after a day always come back to normality. Right now I agree with you, let the man just finish the season and then have his replacement to take over for next season. We pretty much did the same mistake Real Madrid did. Oh well, as long as we can finish top 4 I could care less. We might even get a surprise and do good in the CL, because sometimes you get a surprise in crap seasons like this.
-
Well if he lost the dressing room, there's no coming back. But other then that I still rather wait till the end of the season. We should at least reach top 4....at least!
-
Yeah that's true but we also got rid of a lot of youth and flair players and bought back up that are not even here. When we sold Mata who has been his replacement? Salah? Cuadrado? And he couldn't have patience with a young top talent like kdb but sure can do it for Ivanovic? Last time I remember your nurture your young talents not throw them under the bus.

I personally don't like Benitez, but I can't lie and have to be honest that we actually was improving with him towards the end. Everything was toxic at the beginning because we was mad, but honestly there was a great buzz at the end. And I said to myself why not keep him? If you are doing good you keep all things equal. Mourinho came and totally destroy that good work. Now we are left stuck in a rut.

Said it before, a 3 to 5 year project is more then enough. We need to get out of our head to have someone for a decade. We can do a lot in that 3 to 5 years period range. Now if the person continues to do amazing after his 4th year then just do a year to year contract renewal like Guardiola, because ultimately hes right. It's very hard to be like SAF and continue with the same year after year.

Feel sorry for the guy. Just makes me even mad that he wants to show something to Matic but shows no balls against Ivanovic. Disgusted!
-
A lot of boos at the end.... Well with a half empty stadium.
-
Wow the stadium is now empty with plenty of time left!
-
I'm also mad at the matic sub. He decides to take it out on him but to Ivanovic nothing. Ridiculous this guy!
-
Yeah I agree. I don't like mid season sackings but enough is enough. We have totally regress from the upward trend we had when he came. All because he can't manage attacking players. Don't want this guy anymore, he's a shadow of his former self.
-
Watching city play gets me even more mad with Mourinho. We had a lot of flair and youth when he came, now it's all but gone. Don't want this guy anymore. Let him finish the season and then send him off like real Madrid did. Give us a manager that can work with attacking talents and bring youth in.
-
Aguero is the difference though. Also good to have Silva there.
-
I think your a troll.
-
You know it was a pity he got injured with us back then, because when Rafa was here I bet you he would have played.
-
Well here's the thing. @Jason, mentioned how he must evolved and adapt. I think this is true, especially of his attitude. His attitude that at one point in time was greatly known as motivational, today it ain't. However, he has some things that he can do. Either change his attitude right away which might not happen, or seriously take the road of youth. I think taking the road of youth might work because if he gambles on them and they become good, these young players will love him. Take a look at Lampard and Drogba. They was nothing before he came, but because he pushed them to be better these players later had big admiration for him. Now he tries to do the same to more established players or players with mad skills; It has been backfiring, it happened at RM and now is happening here. If Mourinho is to adapt and change, then the quickest solution that can eventually have great benefits in the long run is to do what he said before, play the young ones!
-
Well I think this is it. So far I have seen nothing of this. We shall see come end of the season. Hopefully hes here cause I don't agree with mid season sacking. If you don't like him wait till the end and then have your replacement ready by then.

And I think SAF was an anomaly that won't be repeated in ages. Mourinho now is like what Capello is to the world. Capello was amazing years ago, now his a shade of his former self. And most managers are like that. Have a great period of management that last an amount of years.Very few are like SAF that can out think and outgrow the new wave and times. We are making a big mistake giving plenty of time to a man a shade of his former self.

Don't think banning guns would do anything. Unless you ban gun worldwide, it won't make much. People can get guns from somewhere else like they can do with drugs. So for now the best solution is to allow everyone to have one. Then everyone can defend themselves. No one will rob a bank if the robber knows everyone has a gun. Again not the best solution, but it's better then banning gun in the states. Of course this won't happen.

Or maybe they know that the board don't care. This is an interesting time because if the board and Roman does not sack him come end of the season or even before that then he's in. Mourinho wants a type of control that SAF and Wenger has/had. Don't need to be in the inside to know this.
-
Oh well what can you do. As long as the board is also happy and don't mind how we are doing then fine.
-
Of course if there's anything to give you that. This ain't the case here. We have regress back from the buzz we had when Mourinho came. A lot of the creativity and youth this club had is now left kinda stale. I don't like how we are "improving" under his stewardship. I didn't like Benitez but I have to admit there was some great things to look at towards the end of the season. I don't get that with Mourinho. Even if we was to recover I don't get that feeling.
-
Actually there was a lot of buzz at the end of Benitez time because of the players we had, with KDB, Lukaku and such coming in. A lot thought that we just needed a little touch. But in came Mourinho and we totally lose all that buzz. This is why for me even if we recover and do well I seen enough to not want him for another 3 years. But hey if the board is happy with this show, then good for them.

Don't think another old guy past his glory is worth it. A younger Mourinho was 10 times what we have now. Now we have an old guy voided of idea....reminds me a lot of AVB even though he was young.... But still bring some young guys, give them the squad and see how we do. Coaches like Emery, Simeone and maybe Klopp can come and do a cycle. Remember Clough being the best, but as you aged you lose your touch. SAF was the anomaly, and sadly it looks like Mourinho is not in that bracket. His time has come and gone.
