Not up to date on our finances but why does it feel like we're being super cautious regarding transfers when the likes of City can go out and spend nearly £100m on two players without selling anyone significant? Been a weird summer so far. Not only have our rivals strengthened but the smaller teams are also bringing in good players & improving.

Tbh I thought it would be one of those games where it's just backs to the wall, defend, counter. Better second half, just no cutting edge in and around the box, lacking sharpness I assume. Willian was good.

If there's a team and set of fans I'd love us to beat it's Arsenal. More so the fans. That being said it would just be typical for Wenger to finally beat Jose in a match that ultimately doesn't matter.

There just seems to be something fundamentally wrong with the team against better sides. Can't control a game to save our lives & it starts from some of the defenders not being completely comfortable in possession.

Agreed. Not sure if it's just weird but I prefer these type of players like Willian & Arda who will help the teams overall play (just keeping the ball under pressure and just generally being reliable in possession) over players who if they're not scoring they aren't really doing anything positive in build up.

Thought he didn't put a foot wrong tbh, solid debut. One thing I would say is I'd like to see him play in a less disciplined role like he's been doing for the youth teams. Understandable vs Liverpool but it will be interesting to see if he does vs weaker sides (if he starts).

I've seen Eden have games where he's not been involved at all & was bad/average. But this is the first time I've seen him involved in a lot of the match but just about everything he did was bad. Just wasn't happening for him today. Has looked a bit tired for these past few games.

I've seen Hazard go for a one two around the box countless times but our other forward players aren't even aware of what he's trying to do. The only one I've seen have that understanding and link up well with him is Drogba
