I haven't seen anything of him at Fiorentina but if he's improved there then I'm all for this signing. He was already very good at Sunderland from what I remember.
-
He looked so much better when he was allowed to roam around the middle.
-
The sooner he's gone the better for me. He clearly wants to go back to Italy & for my sanity I'd rather not watch a player who can't do any of the basics right, falls over his own feet when dribbling, has no awareness of opponents around him, and is naive defensively.
-
Kante not at his best defensively because he's been forced into a lone defensive mid role when he isn't one. Same situation for France.
-
I hope Matic is the one sitting deep in midfield. If it's Kante I can't help but feel he's being wasted there, should be one of the two CMs.
-
Really intrigued to see how he does. Off to a great start.

Are Sky just saying £32m to cover themselves for saying the £29m was nonsense the other day?
-
He looks so awkward and shy, I love it
-
Why do I have a feeling we will all get excited then Mourinho will steal at the last minute
-
Nice goal. He'll still need to prove that he can actually control a ball, pass, & have any sort of awareness on the pitch if he does come back.
-
Missed his game earlier but heard he did alright. Don't want to get too excited but what he's doing is very impressive considering he hadn't played a single minute of senior football before last month.
-
That was beautiful
-
Poor from Mikel yes but the chance only came about from Cahill brainlessly hoofing the ball to them under no pressure
-
Lively in the first half. Betis got dominated in the 2nd half so didn't see much of him after the break.
-
Good header. Shame Sky's match choice isn't in HD. It's like watching a stream
-
As much as I disagree with the decision & want him to stay, it's Lampard-esque timing from John. We are already in a dire enough situation as it is, and the fans being hostile towards this decision every week isn't going to help the team.
-
A lot of people around me at the stadium were bemused that he suddenly looks like a good player now that Jose has gone. He could actually control the ball and was involved in nearly everything we did, the complete opposite of before. He got a good reception when he went off but was a target for the 'where were you when we were shit' chant.
-
Nothing wrong but I'm pretty sure she'll get a hostile reception if she does return
-
Would be interesting to see how she reacts to getting boo'd constantly if she does return
-
He's looking like the Fulham Dembele Spurs thought they bought so far this season. Bit of a nothing story though, even if we were interested there's no way Levy would sell.

Interesting that some don't like him on the ball. He can be frustrating at times on the counter when he has too much time to think, but he's no more frustrating than the likes of Oscar, Pedro, Costa, and even Hazard in that regard at the moment. His ball retention is excellent, the best in our squad bar in form Eden. I really think people under appreciate players who can keep the ball under intense pressure, the lad who was meant to replace Willian last season couldn't even control the ball with no one around him. Sounds simple but only him & Eden are good at it in our squad, and for a supposed top team that's simply not enough when you look at some other clubs. His passing when under pressure is also excellent most of the time. Countless times does he receive the ball with not a lot on, shift it quickly & play a precise ball instantaneously. He actually sets up a LOT of counters by being quick in possession, the problem is that when he's the one leading the counter the initial burst is good but then he seems to get overwhelmed and picks the wrong option.

We were toothless a lot of the time in the final 3rd but no way did we deserve to lose that. The overall performance was a lot better than recent league games. I just don't see if a change is the right call at the moment. It will be a miracle to make the top 4 as it is, and will still be a miracle with any other manager coming in. Honestly think we should just write off this season, and if there isn't a major improvement by the end of it, then make the decision when there will likely be a lot more options available.
-
Few tricky fixtures there, didn't realise. Perhaps some time away from the club over the next week and a bit will do some good for all the players, especially with the negative press and atmosphere at the moment.
-
Fearless is the word. Didn't give a shit just did his thing. Let's see how he develops
-
That's the worst I've seen him since Sunderland away last season. Hopefully the break does him good
