  1. I do not trust this source but it would not surprise me in the slightest if clubs are licking their lips when we come calling for one of their players given the money we are prepared to pay for players. If it is true then i will be very, very disappointed if our board do stump up the asked £32 million for a player of Willian's ability. He is worth £16 million at the most. http://www.footballfancast.com/2012/07/football-news/chelsea-have-been-told-to-up-the-ante-with-transfer-bid
  2. What does moot point mean? Also let's not forget most Youtube compilations are snippets of everything the player it is analyzing does good. Very rarely does it show the bad points of a player!
  3. What makes me laugh is that 99.9% of this forum have only seen Oscar play on Youtube. I'm not saying you haven't seen him play in full games or some of the people in this forum haven't too but a lot of the posters here are just going on what they have seen via the internet so how could they possibly judge?
  4. That would be one of the most successful transfer windows of recent history, for any club!
  5. Yea it is quite impressive. He looks like he is in year 11 at school though!
  6. I'll be the first to admit when i may have forgotten something and i definitely forgot to mention how most teams we played against int he league last year parked the bus in front of us but I honestly think the way you are saying Mata isn't the same class as Lampard and Drog's is fucking ridiculous. It was his first season at Chelsea and if he didn't do enough for you then you are living in fantasy land. It took Lampard and Drogba a feew seasons themselves before they started showing their class in the big games you can't expect every player to just turn up against Barcelona or Bayern in their first season and tear them apart. It is actually soo disrespectful to just put Mata's work from last season down like you have and he will influence big games, he even did it last year with one game springing to mind, Arsenal!
  7. There is an interview about to start with Marko on Sky Sports News. It is currently the ad break so you have time, it hasn't started yet!
  8. Really? I am a huge fan of Cavani and I couldn't care less how much money Roman is prepared to spend when regarding transfers but what would this spell for Torres!?
  9. Swear down I don't think i can stomach that same 'And the oscar goes to ....'' joke for one more day! ...
  10. Do not underestimate KDB, he is going to be a class player for us. Mark my words!
  11. You can re-quote the post and write nothing underneath!
  12. Wow.. I was not expecting that! LOL
  13. I was watching SSN when they reported it mate. Unfortunately I didn't record it so i cannot link you to the exact screening. I'm sure if you hunt hard enough you will be able to find it, I would try and help you more on this matter but my hands are tied with booking tickets for the new Batman film premier! Good Luck!
  14. He quoted it to Sky Sports News informants! They broadcasted it live around an hour ago.
  15. Just had a chat with my mate and he has very strong links with Liverpool's backroom staff and apparently Walcott was there today and there is a strong rumour that he could sign for them by Wednesday. I didn't know Theo was a long life Pool fan either!
  16. In flight chat with the main man !
  17. I admire your optimism but seriously don't get your hopes up too high before anything is officially confirmed. He will probably play in the Olympics and put in quality performances and then Barca and Madrid will step up their interest, then putting his price up even more similar to the Neymar saga. I think we should make this deal happen now and for the sake of 5-8 million Euros it would be ridiculous to lose out on him for that kind of price when we have paid stupid amounts of money for other players. Just be ready for this not to happen!
  18. It's not over, this transfer itself might be dead in the water but i don't think our dealings in this transfer window are over by a long chalk! We are still interested in bringing in another right back, winger and at a push a top center midfielder seeing as this is probably the last full season we will get from Lampard's legs!
  19. Of course I didn't mean to single out his strength to seem as if it were his only attribute, he has quite good feet with a ridiculously venomous shot plus pace and impact ability. I agree with you his strength isn't necessarily that important when playing wing though maybe it does help a lot if he were to play striker for us!
  20. Pffffttt Playa please.. I would like to see any other player try and play as many games as Mata did in their first season and have as big as impact as he did in the English Premier League. How could you possibly say that ''there's no way he'll become a Silva'' when Silva's legs went missing in the latter stages of the season just like Mata after he had been run into the ground having to play practically every game for City. He might not have the pace but he doesn't need it with his vision and composure, It is utterly preposterous to degrade Mata's contribution to last season because he didn't turn up against Barcelona in which we basically parked a jumbo jet in front of the goal and scored on lucky counters which of course everybody knows Mata isn't exactly a defensive player. Considering Juan Mata assisted 13 English Premier League goals in a more defensive minded team compared to Silva's 15 playing in a free flowing attack minded City i really can't see where you get your logic from!
  21. This is spot on. I don't understand why people are adamant we need Hulk for physical strength in our attack as if his strength alone would make some kind of enormous power surge whenever going forward. Of course it would be a good thing to have up top or out on the right wing but it isn't as if Hazard or KDB are weak and don't possess any strength at all.
  22. Yea I must admit his diving and mood swings could really make me want to smash my telly in.
  23. As a personality on the pitch Drogba could act like an absolute tit and really wind any Chelsea fan up when all we wanted was for him to just do what he did best and that was being a beast, scoring goals. Having said that off the pitch Drogba has done a lot for charity and been a stand up professional when representing Chelsea and football both locally and internationally! Vialli had his bad moments too but i suppose it is a matter of opinion and i guess mine on Drogba has become a lot more positive after the way he carried on being a great player for us on the pitch.
  24. Drogba's header to send the CL final into extra time alone gives him Legendary status. Drogba's goals along that rocky road won us the Champions League, of course with many other factors i.e. Cech and Cole but if it wasn't for Drogba we wouldn't be European Champions a feat that no other player at Chelsea had achieved until DDA pulled it off. Not to mention the F.A. Cup final winners he scored and countless goals he scored in big games for us! He truly was an astonishing player for us and I believe it would be ridiculously disrespectful to not place him within the same brackets as Vialli, Zola and certainly Ballack!
