  1. I admire your optimism but seriously don't get your hopes up too high before anything is officially confirmed. He will probably play in the Olympics and put in quality performances and then Barca and Madrid will step up their interest, then putting his price up even more similar to the Neymar saga. I think we should make this deal happen now and for the sake of 5-8 million Euros it would be ridiculous to lose out on him for that kind of price when we have paid stupid amounts of money for other players. Just be ready for this not to happen!
  2. It's not over, this transfer itself might be dead in the water but i don't think our dealings in this transfer window are over by a long chalk! We are still interested in bringing in another right back, winger and at a push a top center midfielder seeing as this is probably the last full season we will get from Lampard's legs!
  3. Of course I didn't mean to single out his strength to seem as if it were his only attribute, he has quite good feet with a ridiculously venomous shot plus pace and impact ability. I agree with you his strength isn't necessarily that important when playing wing though maybe it does help a lot if he were to play striker for us!
  4. Pffffttt Playa please.. I would like to see any other player try and play as many games as Mata did in their first season and have as big as impact as he did in the English Premier League. How could you possibly say that ''there's no way he'll become a Silva'' when Silva's legs went missing in the latter stages of the season just like Mata after he had been run into the ground having to play practically every game for City. He might not have the pace but he doesn't need it with his vision and composure, It is utterly preposterous to degrade Mata's contribution to last season because he didn't turn up against Barcelona in which we basically parked a jumbo jet in front of the goal and scored on lucky counters which of course everybody knows Mata isn't exactly a defensive player. Considering Juan Mata assisted 13 English Premier League goals in a more defensive minded team compared to Silva's 15 playing in a free flowing attack minded City i really can't see where you get your logic from!
  5. This is spot on. I don't understand why people are adamant we need Hulk for physical strength in our attack as if his strength alone would make some kind of enormous power surge whenever going forward. Of course it would be a good thing to have up top or out on the right wing but it isn't as if Hazard or KDB are weak and don't possess any strength at all.
  6. Yea I must admit his diving and mood swings could really make me want to smash my telly in.
  7. As a personality on the pitch Drogba could act like an absolute tit and really wind any Chelsea fan up when all we wanted was for him to just do what he did best and that was being a beast, scoring goals. Having said that off the pitch Drogba has done a lot for charity and been a stand up professional when representing Chelsea and football both locally and internationally! Vialli had his bad moments too but i suppose it is a matter of opinion and i guess mine on Drogba has become a lot more positive after the way he carried on being a great player for us on the pitch.
  8. Drogba's header to send the CL final into extra time alone gives him Legendary status. Drogba's goals along that rocky road won us the Champions League, of course with many other factors i.e. Cech and Cole but if it wasn't for Drogba we wouldn't be European Champions a feat that no other player at Chelsea had achieved until DDA pulled it off. Not to mention the F.A. Cup final winners he scored and countless goals he scored in big games for us! He truly was an astonishing player for us and I believe it would be ridiculously disrespectful to not place him within the same brackets as Vialli, Zola and certainly Ballack!
  9. Dude, We haven't even signed Oscar yet.
  10. I hope this deal goes through otherwise all of who basically everyone that is posting formations and team selections with Oscar involved are going to have to start changing them again. Lol.
  11. I'm feeling really pissed of reading that KDB might go on loan again this season. His assisting and vision is exactly the kind of thing we were missing last season why can't anyone at Chelsea see that! FFS
  12. Yea I have read everything his agent has to say on this matter and obviously there is no smoke without fire but all i would say is maybe we should keep our feet on the ground until, if ever this transfer is officially announced by the Chelsea board itself! I hope to God it does happen I rate Oscar highly.
  13. There are reports suggesting Oscar has denied Chelsea's involvement with a possible transfer for his services. Nothing is set in stone and as much as we would all love for this to happen I wouldn't start putting Oscar into your Chelsea line up for this up and coming season just yet. http://www.setanta.com/ie/Articles/2012/07/13/Chelsea-wait-on-Samba-swoop/gnid-147597/
  14. Jordan Henderson & Andy Caroll = £55M Ibra & Thiago Silva = £49M lol
  15. He must stay and play with the first team this season in my opinion so it doesn't damage his confidence, not that it necessarily would but loaning him out once again would be like slapping him in the face considering where he is at in terms of ability and match performance. He is ready to make sub appearances if not first team starting chances and I for one will be more than pissed off if we loan him out again before the season starts!
  16. Well said! I mean you are allowed to be annoyed and fed up with a player your club has paid 50 million pounds for and he isn't performing to the best of his abilities or even half of that. Then if the player turns his form around and starts playing to his best ability, we as fans can then be delighted with him despite having voiced a ridiculous frustration when criticizing the player. It's football, it's emotional and you can be pissed of with a player if he is playing shit.
  17. It wasn't the squad he put together that was the main problem, It was how he managed that squad of players and it is as simple as that. If these words are accurate then evidently Andre hasn't learned a damn thing and is still led by blind ignorance. I doubt very much that he actually thinks the squad that won the Champions League and FA Cup was in the same shape that he had left it, If he does then hopefully he keeps on managing with this kind of arrogant bullshit at Spurs. Could only be a good thing for us!
  18. Dude this took me around 40 minutes to read. Feels like I've just read a small book lol. Great insight with depth and quality to your post, surely you can't be going for member of the month 2 awards running? Beast! You can tell me all the stats and statistics in the world though but I will only judge a player with my very own eyes and to me Mikel has improved immensely but still not quite the Defensive midfielder i would love to have marshaling the midfield at Chelsea. I reckon he will be the Mac daddy this year though, so many things to look forward to this season it's unbelievable how things have changed drastically from the Christmas period of 2011!
  19. I know this isn't news to everyone but this article is utterly ridiculous. 'Barca plan to destroy Chelsea', what by taking Romeu back, hahahhah unbelievable journalism! Idiot! http://www.emirates247.com/sports/football/barca-plan-to-destroy-chelsea-in-transfer-window-2012-07-11-1.466793
  20. Dude they made a thread for this kind of post. http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/11893-future-chelsea-team/page__st__234
  21. I wasn't necessarily saying we should or are going to play like Barca but was more trying to point out that under AVB our system was a mess when playing with the high line defence. I agree it will take time for these young prospects to develop and gel together but with the experience already in the squad (Champions Of Europe) the chemistry will hopefully come good sooner rather than later. You say we only have technically gifted smaller players? So what of Torres, Lukaku, KDB and Sturridge... these are technically gifted AND strong players. I think maybe we could do with bringing in Moses to bolster the strength of our attack but i really don't believe that this tactile powerhouse attacking style is so essential and even if it is, it's not like we don't have three strong strikers already! With two strong midfielders sitting deep say Mikel and Lampard then what is wrong with three nimble, agile and gifted players in front of them to work magic for a strong striker like Torres?
  22. The connection between our defence, midfield and forwards was non existent under AVB. The set up was a shambles with no real transition when turning defence into attack, If RDM get's it right and can get us playing as a unit when defending and attacking It really won't matter if we play an attacking style. Just look at Barca and how they defend as a unit and attack as a whole too.
  23. Oscar can play deep. He has played a deep lying playmaker role for Brazil often in recent International matches, you only have to youtube Oscar vs USA or Oscar vs Denmark to see. He is very effective in a deep role playing kind of like Romeu but quicker and can go forward to more effect! Oscar is naturally a central attacking midfielder but can also play wing too which he has assisted a fair few goals in his International appearances. This is would be a very good signing for us and talking of physical presence i agree that playing in the Premier League week in, week out you do need some power to match pace but if these players can produce their best football who's to say their raw skill and ability isn't enough to whip teams every week? We have Ramirez who is a gritty and determined player along with Romeu who isn't exactly weak, with the Mikel, Lukaku, KDB and Lampard who aren't exactly pushovers on the ball I don't think the need for Hulk is as essential as everybody believes! Just because we have become use to having Drogba who was a powerhouse doesn't mean we have to continue playing with that bulldozer style going forward I mean after all aren't we trying to change the way we play and win?
