Tottenham and Arsenal have now both dropped points in their first two matches, what a nice start to the season. Don't know what to hope for in the next match. City losing would probably be the best for us but I can't stand Liverpool either. Fuck, why can't they just both lose the game?

Got it from Twitter, no idea if it's true.

Has he been called up for the internationals? Hope not, because that would be the perfect opportunity for him to get a couple weeks rest and after the break we have a couple 'easy' games where Juan might not even be needed.

Those stats from yesterday are very, very impressive. Dembele sure has improved over the last two seasons after starting to play at CM. Can't see him leaving Fulham in this transfer window. Maybe we could go for him next year or in January, if we need him or if there's too big a risk of someone else snapping him up.

United negotiated their Chevrolet deal a couple of years in advance. It was announced a few weeks ago but the deal only begins from the 14/15 season. Rumour has it that United's new deal is worth over £40m a year and that's way more than the £15-20m Samsung is currently giving Chelsea. Don't know if Samsung are ready to offer anywhere near that amount but something like £25-30m is what we should be aiming for at least, be it with Samsung or someone else. United sealing that monster of a deal so early could be very good for us because that gives us leverage and now we don't have to accept anything less than what we deserve when we have a deal like that to compare our offers to.

"Eden Hazard is the first player ever in the history of the Premier League to win three man of the match awards in the first three games." He better watch out not to drink too much of that champagne! At the moment he seems to be getting at least one new bottle every week.

Who the fuck cares about 'sexy football' if the results are like yesterday? There were definitely some exciting attacking movements every now and then, while also keeping a clean sheet at the back and I cant think of any reasons to be unhappy about that. Di Matteo got it spot on by playing Bertrand on the wing, or can you honestly say that you would've preferred someone like Sturridge there and have Chelsea playing more of that sexy football you seem to be craving for and the result would have been something like 2-2, with Ben Arfa raping our left flank? In the second half we sat back and focused on keeping the 2-0 lead. That wasn't very entertaining to watch, but that is what every top club does when they're comfortably ahead. Why waste any more energy than what is necessary? You should know that they don't play the game only for the fans' entertainment.

Even if that were true, I can't see him wanting to go to Zenit. If he really wants to make a name for himself in world football and continue playing for the Brazilian national team, he should stay at Porto for another year and try to force a move to one of the better teams next year if no one else is interested in buying him this year. He's still young and has time, so no point moving to Russia at this point because surely his chances of ever making it to one of the big teams in England or in Spain would decrease significantly. I can't see the money being the main reason in going to Zenit because he would most definitely get at least the same amount from any major European club, if not this year then the next.

Donated another £5 since I still happened to have some extra money lying around after paying all my bills. I'll try to chip in some more in a few weeks but £10 this month was the best I could do. Hope it helps.

You should be glad that Tottenham lost points because of that late goal. Real Premier League points are more important than the fantasy ones.

They're just guessing. Llorente has a £28m release clause in is contract and while Athletic said he won't go for any less, no one really believes that and a significantly lower bid will be accepted.
-
They were thinking of money. Warrior is shit but they offered Liverpoll £25m a year for wearing that hidous kit. They were also frustrated with being the number two Adidas sponsored team in England, after Chelsea of course.
-
Our midfield was great today.
-
If he continues to play like that, I hope he never leaves this club but if he does, the fee would have to be something out of this world because there's no way we would be selling a player like that for cheap, Chelsea is not Arsenal. If he lives up to expectations I can easily see the asking price being well over £60m, considering what we paid for him, and in a few years Spain's economy won't allow Real or Barca spending that much in a football player when their whole nation is going to shit. Those two clubs are in so much debt that it's ridiculous and so far the Spanish banks have given them free money but that time is coming to an end soon when they have to make compromises on where to spend their nation's money and I would guess that football is not very high on that list.

Arsenal should be no real threat to us. They lost two of their best players from last season and even though they got a couple of decent additions to replace the ones they sold, imo they've gone backwards after losing the best striker in the world at the moment and their midfield engine in Alex Song. Who are they going to play in Song's place now? Diaby, the man who hasn't played more than two games in a row for years now? Bitch please. Manchester clubs both provide a serious threat though. We definitely have the quality to be at their level but there are still question marks whereas the Manchester duo are both pretty much complete packages already. United haven't impressed so far, but they never really play well in the beginning of the season and every single year they're still right up there come May. City were shit against Southampton but class against us, they should be top2 easily unless Mancini fucks things up royally. Too early to predict anything yet. Us, Manchester United and Manchester City are all top3 material but I wouldn't be betting any money on anyone's finishing position at the moment.

He was being a dick.
-
I miss Alex's free kicks.

Why the fuck would Di Matteo have taken on more attacking players when we were 2-0 ahead and were trying to defend our lead? You can't honestly expect us to take only attacking players in from the bench like it's Football Manager or something. Di Matteo got all of his tactics spot on today, from the starting lineup to the substitutions. Before the match everyone was complaining about Bertrand and Meireles starting over Sturridge and Lampard but remind me again, how exactly did those decisions turn out to be?
-
Have to give him credit when he plays well. Against Reading he was shit despite scoring but today he looked much better even if he hadn't scored and I'm happy for him. Still a long way for him to go before he gets my 100% trust back but this is certainly a great start and may he continue to impress in the coming games. Too bad the internationals are around the corner, would have been better for Fernando if he could have continued this form without any breaks.
-
Cahill - Luiz is proving to be one hell of a partnership. :blue scalf:
-
Hate to say this but the team is looking much better without Lampard in it. Don't know if this was just a one time thing, but based on this match a midfield duo of Meireles - Mikel is definitely worth trying again, both were great today. Hazard once again Man of the Match, although Torres was excellent too.
-
Everton are looking very good so far. Hope you can qualify for the Europa League this season.
-
No defenders on the bench, at least we are likely to see attacking substitutions.
