Why not? Meireles has usually done well in a more advanced role and at least we'll now get to see Hazard on the wing where I suspect he'll mostly be playing anyway when Mata and Oscar join the team. And what has Mikel done wrong? Granted, Essien has been better this pre-season but seriously, that's hardly a reason to shit all over him because Mikel is normally the best defensive midfielder we have.
van Nistelrooy was out for only half the amount as Rossi so they're not comparable. Many players have come on top in their battles against these horrible knee injuries, especially if suffered at an early age and I'm not saying Rossi is done or anything and maybe he can return to playing football at the very top but at the moment his future is very much unclear and that's a shame. He will stay at Villarreal for at least one more season and if he returns successfully in six months or so and plays the rest of the season in the Spanish Segunda Division without injuries then maybe some club will take gamble with him but definitely not this year. Basically a high risk, high reward type of situation with him.
Last October he had a surgery to his knee and was out for six months and when he finally resumed training in April he injured the same knee again and is now out till next year so he could be bought in January at the earliest. A player who's missed 16 months of football is a massive gamble and we should stay far away.
Yep, only himself to blame. It's funny how he's now whining about this because the team spirit under Di Matteo was probably the most important reason as to why we went on to win the Double. If that was me, I would be humble as fuck and not talk shit about my former club because that would only make me look like a bitter cunt and a complete idiot.
In: Azpilicueta, Hulk/Moses/Walcott (yes, I really said Walcott ) Loan: Lukaku, KdB, Josh Out: Benayoun, Kakuta Malouda can stay as 3rd or 4th choice winger if he's happy with not playing much, kind of like what Ferreira has been for years now.
To be honest I saw this charge coming a mile away despite him being found not guilty by the court but I was also expecting AF to be charged as well because clearly he used offensive language too. Ferdinand may not have used any racist remarks but he was still abusive and the FA charging JT but not AF is just hypocritical. And nice to see Rio Ferdinand getting away with his choc-ice twitter bullshit as well.
Nando is one of the best paid players at the club along with Lampard and Terry. £175k, give or take a few would be my guess. The likes of Falcao or Cavani would demand around the same.
Hopefully we'll see Hazard, De Bruyne and Piazon for the second half. Di Matteo should try Marin on the right wing, De Bruyne at CM and Piazon on the left or something.
