Not going to happen. With Essien gone already and the window shut, there's no way the board are stupid enough to sell Meireles too.
-
Lucky you, mine started this week already. First week was not so bad though, went to a few student parties and got drunk as fuck. There I got to know some interesting new people and even made a move on the best looking girl from my class. Needless to say I couldn't score with her but the game is not over yet.

I know, and I have complained about that in this topic earlier. The reason I complained was because back then we didn't yet have Azpilicueta and therefore not a viable option for Ivanovic but that's not the case anymore. Now Di Matteo can easily mix things up a little and give César a chance if Ivanovic continues to be shit and I fully expect that to happen in the next match against QPR because as far as I know Azpilicueta is not going to take part in Spain's U21 qualifiers anymore, which means that he can stay back and train with Di Matteo for two weeks while Ivanovic is away on international duty. Playing Azpi against QPR makes perfect sense, right?
-
So I take it he was once again shit yesterday? That's too bad but personally I'm not too worried because at least we now have a better alternative to Ivanovic than we did last season and we can easily drop Brana if he doesn't start to perform. Only a matter of time when he rediscovers his form because a 28-year-old defender who hasn't suffered any injuries recently doesn't all of a sudden turn into shit.

AVB and Spurs How long till he gets the sack?
-
If it's true that he has been released, I would want him to join either Marseille or Juventus. Marseille for obvious reasons, but Juventus because they're a top class team without top class strikers so Didier would probably be their star man. Also Juventus being in the same CL group with us would definitely make things interesting.
-
That makes it what, three times I've beaten you by a matter of seconds?
-
@DavidLuiz_4: Sorry #geezers! I take my responsibility about the game. I promise change this situation soon! #CFC #KTBFFH
-
Two weeks. Next match is QPR away on the 15th of this month.
-
Didn't see the game as I was too busy hitting on university girls at a party. Apparently I didn't miss much,

I see Schurrle more as a striker than as a winger. But still, that would make absolutely no sense and we are yet to hear news about Danny's contract situation. One or two years left? If only one, then sending a player like that on loan would make even less sense. Not buying any of that bullshit as of yet. edit: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/30/chelsea-loan-daniel-sturrudge-andre-schurrle?CMP=twt_gu Guardian also jumping on the 'Sturridge on loan if Schurrle signs' bandwagon. How fucking stupid are those journalists?
-
http://www.telegraph...-the-board.html The fuck? Sturridge sure as hell is not going on loan, so I wouldn't read much into the whole Schurrle thing either.
-
Well, the way I see it is that there are more players than Hulk who I would gladly have if Liverpool were willing to pay way over the odds for Sturridge and we wanted to invest that money on a replacement. Any one of Llorente, Remy, Cavani, Falcao, Jovetic, Lewandowski, Schurrle etc. would be more than welcome. Too many variables and too little time regarding that possible transfer for Sturridge. I can't see us signing anyone from that list easily anymore since apart from Remy none of those guys seem to be on the market and there's only one day left. No way we'd be selling one of our two strikers without buying anyone because we are light in attack already as it is. If I had to bet, I would put my money on Liverpool signing Huntelaar.
-
Well, they sure seem confident about signing someone on deadline day or else they wouldn't have let Carroll leave, no matter how shit he is. They now have only Borini, who hasn't yet made an impact and Suarez, who is one of the worst finishers in the league and can't be relied on to take the responsibility of being their main goal-scorer. Seeing as they were willing to pay £35m for that donkey less than two years ago when they were left a man short on deadline day, Sturridge should easily fetch £40m from those desperate cunts. Realistically though, I can't see him leaving for any price unless we are looking to sign at least one more new player ourselves, maybe even two.
-
Yes, I know the reason behind it but that doesn't make it any less sketchy and it simply shows that UEFA don't care about having a fair competition where everyone gets an equal chance but instead they only want to make more money. If they're treating some of the teams unfairly at these draws so that the bigger teams get more TV coverage (= more money for the teams and uefa), then why should we believe for a second that they are treated equally in the games and that the most marketable teams don't get an unfair advantage with the referees or something? It was simply an unbelievable feeling to finally win this competition after many, many years of coming so close only to fail but in the last few years I have even grown to dislike the whole idea of the Champions League or at least the fact that it is run by those corrupt UEFA cunts.
-
Swindon away maybe? Don't really care about the draw but I expect to see an interesting team in the match no matter who we're up against. Azpilicueta, Moses, Marin and Piazon could all very well start and if the opponent is one of the lower level teams then maybe even the likes of Feruz and Chalobah could feature at some point. This competition may not be the most prestigious but it sure is an exciting opportunity to see the new guys and some of the younger players in action.
-
I didn't quite understand how the draw worked sometimes. It's bullshit how there is "the red side" and "the blue side" of the draw and because of some television contracts teams couldn't be drawn into just any of the remaining groups where there were no teams from the same country. For example, only Dortmund and CFR Cluj were remaining from Pot4 and the only two groups without the fourth team were D (Real, City, Ajax) and H (United, Braga, Galatasaray) and as you can see, neither of those groups have any teams from either Germany or Romania so there should be no problem. However, instead of a fair draw UEFA just straight up decided that Cluj goes to H and Dortmund goes to D and the teams weren't even drawn. The red side of the draw already had one German team in Schalke04 and the other side had Bayern Munich, so in my opinion there shouldn't have been any reason as to why Dortmund couldn't go to either side of the draw. For some sketchy reason they were forced to join Group D so that UEFA could get their sexy Group of Death to sell to the fans.

Shkahtar away scheduled between Tottenham and Manchester United in the league, fuck. Also Juventus at home is only a few days before Man City. Btw, why are there nearly 300 guests reading this topic?
-
Latest rumours are that he's heading to Vitesse on loan. Surely that's the last we hear from him if he goes there.
-
Is there some Deadline Day special thread coming for tomorrow? Can't follow any of the action live but it would be great if you guys could keep track of everything that's happening in one single thread so it would be much easier to read through afterwards instead of having to browse them all.
-
Nice to see that at least once Galliani's laughable offers get accepted.
-
You better get ready to shag the living shit out of those grannies!
-
And got a much worse alternative in Juventus. I fail to see your logic.
-
Real Madrid and Man City, that's going to be fun. The second best thing.
-
No Man City for Barcelona.
