That is nuts for a guy who scored 11 goals in the league...
-
Excellent for us lol.
-
Alvarez for 50 mil. Shouldn’t pay more. Not a starter. Doesn’t lead the line. Great potential. I doubt that gets it done though.
-
Eh. Liverpool bought an aging Endo in an already old and on the down squad. My point with Mudryk is we got a player they wanted. We were chosen. As far as attracting talent still ahead. They’re in a better position to compete? Yes. The last two years. We’re a young team with players growing together now. We aren’t as far away as people think given our quality.
-
That just isn’t true lol. we had Caceido go to us and Mudryk choose us. People acting like Arsenal are a powerhouse lol

The one with reasonable views on our Chelsea team also has the most reasonable life views. Not shocked tbh.

How much would Lookman cost? I'm always sceptical about buying players that have failed everywhere bar one place, and for a limited time. Like for like swaps at a cheaper price are always good business IMO, but sometimes the water is murky on that. I'd be interested to see how Sterling does given our manager is now more in the build of the Man City way of things...

I made one inference in this so far - and it was more so a joke about not being able to be friends with people with opposing views. You on the other hand continue to... without knowing anything about my view on things. Keep playing gotcha and hanging onto throwaway comments used to make light examples.

I don't gravitate towards either. I couldn't care who is in power as my life isn't impacted what so ever. Again - straight to pointing a finger and labelling. lol... Called it in the initial post.

What I mean when I say cheaper options - is there are cheaper options for the same quality as that player. Not necessarily cheaper for better. Anyway - I'm hoping for Calafiori and maybe a CF, and I'd be happy with our transfer window. Let the lads grow together and don't need many more disruptions. I think the signing of Enzo as manager, and having the likes of Tosin, Lavia and Palmer here, as well as others used to possession style football is actually thought out long term stuff from the ownership/sporting directors. Sometimes the correct pieces aren't available, but to some extent I think they have what they wanted now.

Mate - agree. This thread is a microcosm of what is actually wrong with the world and just proves how sensitive and full of shit people are with their political affiliations and views. You can't even ask a question in here without being labeled something. People in here are the types to not be friends with someone if they share slightly different political views. I think it says a lot more about people who side themselves with these monoliths trapped in time and act like its their entire wellbeing and personality. Hillary potentially having people killed and leaked emails talking about all kinds of crazy shit? No problem. Trump using $130k of funds elsewhere? GUILTY! GET HIM!!! The world had 4 years of Trump. Nothing all too tragic happened. Its probably been worse since hes left with all these countries at each others throat. People who don't even live in America getting mad about the vote off between the turd sandwich vs the douche, and angry you wouldn't vote for their turd sandwich.

Nico Williams is so average. Another winger with a loose dribble and speed. No thanks. Plenty around for cheaper.
-
He is a better ball playing CB, who could potentially be even better at this point. All that - and you get a free swap, while adding all the profits to go out and get another player with those profits. Its like someone giving you the exact same house next door, but telling you - you also get 50k to buy a car if you swap. Jeez. People getting pissed off at a free signing in here. Go outside guys. Its really not that bad.

Based on what? The world currently is in shit and in existential danger.

I think they're about same level, no? From the limited amount I've seen on Tosin. Definitely better on the ball though. Yeah - getting pure profit and replacing for a player of similar, if not better calibre on a free. Great business. I feel like Tosin is being talked about as having big potential still, so smart business to get someone like that on a free, and at the very least be a serviceable backup, much like Trev. Doesn't hurt that he is 6'6 and would help with our set piece problem too...

I'd take Zirkzee before VO.
-
I wouldn't mind Osimhen - where am I not a fan? 100+ mil for him is ridiculous though. Nico and VO both scored 17 goals this season. Why are we paying that much for someone? Victor has had 1 good season. 1. O N E. Where in the world would we considering 120 mil a decent transfer for him? Nico literally gave you a better than DD 1st season performance - and you still complain... Which starters are we selling to rivals? Jorgi? He is a bench player at Arsenal. Havertz? Do you want him back? Kovacic? Again - why? He wasn't anything special at City aside from being another cog in a well oiled machine. A stop gap. We came 6th in a pretty miserable season as far as continuity and injuries go. DD had seasons of barely cracking 10 goals and was lauded because of how our team clicked and because we were winning. Jackson would be equally praised if our defenders could defend and our manager set our midfield up correctly from the start of the season. No one wants to wait at all. No one here has the slightest bit of patience. We literally watched a young team get better - and now we want to add more players for 100 mil+ when they themselves are unproven.
-
You guys really buy into these easy media narratives they keep repeating. Vic ain't it, regardless. And the age thing here, is probably how much they want to pay for the transfer fee given how many great years he has. Enzo and Caceido are early 20s, and that investment makes sense as you are getting 10+ good years from them. We are in no way close to becoming a feeder club.
-
Some people here think our players suck, would be mid table and aren't suited to any style of play. Others can appreciate the fact we came 6th, and should have been 4th/5th if it wasn't for some dodgy calls against us - and in a season we suffered all these injuries and had no continuity. Players like Caceido and Enzo aren't suited in a possession side yet both played and excelled when they were in the top possession type sides in the league... Lavia is a City product as well... I wonder how he would fare in possession football... Palmer? I don't even know if this bloke has heard of possession football. Same with Colwill... Some people will be pessimistic regardless. We won the CL 3 years ago to this day. It hasn't even been a big drop off like people are making it. Just a different type of reset, and things have been on the up. Now doing it with younger players, and a vision for more sustainability in the long run. But nah, we suck.
-
Tosin in, Chalobah out is pretty smart business. Profit and get a home grown in. Similar level of player as well IMO with both being solid backups.
-
You also said our players weren’t that good and were no where near top 4 at the start of the season. Yet they were essentially a dodgy call against Villa from doing it. All this in an unsettled season with mass injuries.
-
He met expectations. What’s the issue?
-
He gets to play with the equivalent of the USA dream team in the 90s and he wins? Shocker. 1 CL with City while having undoubtably the best team in football for 6 years is an underachievement. Same happened at Bayern. They had literally just won it prior to him arriving … Tuchel and Klopp achieved the CL as well and had no where near the build up of squad settlement the years prior to joining.
