Wait, so Torres was misfiring? How many clear-cut or even half-a-chances did he miss? All i could see was him trying to make runs, sometimes caught offside, sometimes he took the defender with himself making space for other players. Sturridge will get a chance probably very soon. But you have to think psychologicaly, to let Torres stay on the pitch was imo smart because RDM didn't put pointless pressure on him.

I haven't got a clue about how does Reading play. Could anyone provide some information, please?
-
He is stable defensive midfielder. I know in CS he didn't play well and lost the ball badly few times but you have to remember how he played when it was getting serious. I don't really remember the exact statisctics but he hardly ever lost the possesion under RDM. Also i don't think Essien would be a wiser choice for this game because he unlike Mikel likes to push forward which could really cost us a lot if Wigan is going to park the bus and wait for the perfect moment to counter-attack.

Looks like Oscar has a twitter account. Seems like he only writes in portuguese so far. https://twitter.com/oscar_emboaba

I think we should start with a double pivot of Mikel and Ramires, because IMO this is the best against counter-attacking team. And if Marin is fit, of course he should play. ---------------Čech--------------- Ivan----Cahill---Terry-----Cole ---------Mikel---Ramires-------- ---Marin-----Mata-----Hazard-- --------------Torres---------------

No, no, no. This is exactly the pressure we and primarly media has been putting on Torres the whole time. And i believe he just feels it. We should just give him a few games to see if he countinous his form from EURO. If not, ok, let's buy Cavani or someone other, whatever. But from my point of view he's just not the kind of footballer that performs under pressure and competition in the team won't help him.

My opinion is that Hilario and Turnbull haven't got the qualities Chelsea should demand from a backup goalkeeper. My idea is to sell one or both of them and bring some ageing goalkeeper from different country and worse league who is club-star there so that he would like to come to England - to the Champions of Europe - while making some money for family before he retires. Now FIND HIM!

I actually quite like this year's Liverpool home shirt. Sort of elegant.

I absolutely agree. That mistake was terrible but it those things just sometimes happen and he is still very young. At least he's done it in pre-season and next-time, he is gonna take care where to pass. The rest of the match from him was pure class, confident play, excellent assist... And about him going out on loan... i dont think so. He can sometimes rotate with Lampard against weaker sides alongside a classic holding midfielder. Also i think when a couple of years ago everybody said Josh is gonna be a new Lampard, now it seems like Frank has moved to Josh's standart position.

No. You are so much wrong in one thing. The most important thing in big BIG games after your class is EXPERIENCE. And you can't tell Mata's experienced, unlike Cech, Cole, Lamps, Drogba etc.

Mata and Torres -> Bromance

David Luiz could affect the transfer of Hulk. I'm sure they talked about his potential transfer during their national team meeting. And I beleive Luiz really loves it here so he might convince him... But then there is the thing with that damn money.

I have always been wondering why so many people think Roman "ruined football"... Since almost all the clubs are now buying the biggest stars, the teams are gaining quality and the football should be more attractive. ...but then i remembered, the're just jealous.

Personal life is called personal for a reason. But media don't give a s*it... Some of you should realize that he's just an easy target.

Jose already answered your question "The style of how we play is very important. But it is omelettes and eggs. No eggs - no omelettes! It depends on the quality of the eggs. In the supermarket you have class one, two or class three eggs and some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem."

Wow, it could be just 4 games won and 3 trophies! Can't wait for next season!

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

Most likely yes. -
Looks like he plays most of the time on the right wing, so this could mean more time for Sturridge in the centre
-
Unfortunately he is not even on the bench. Probably in London sorting things out.

http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2752630,00.html A bit of a shock. I think it is clear Malouda will now go. However i am bit scared about the chances of De Bruyne. What do you guys think of him?

Feliz Cumpleaños Juan!

I would start with 4-2-3-1 just because wingers can help with the defensive job and the man in a hole gets a lot of balls which can be crucial. Čech is obviously a must-starter. I would prefer Bosingwa to Ferreira at the right-back simply because of the pace he's got. Ribery is fast as hell and will surely start to make big problems if Paulo was on. Also David Luiz can help him out as he did with Bale in the FA semis. Cahill will then take more of the care about Gomez, which is probably going to be crucial. Cole will then look after his old teammate. Lampard is another automatical starter, he can provide a good link with the attacking part of the midfield while still defending beatifully. To be fair, i am not sure if to start Mikel. He surely did show us under RDM that he deserves it but Romeu might be better for counter attacking with his Barca-styled type of quick, sharp and accurate passing. Not to mention his defending skills. But we all know he is young and inexperienced so let him play some of the upcoming games to see. I would personally prefer Kalou to Sturridge on the right wing even though he can go past defenders and score vital goals. Kalou works more for the team and know better how to defend than Sturridge. Mata in the hole, i don't think i have to write something about it. Left wing should be lended to Malouda, just because of his experiences in both defense and offensive. And also because there aren't many more possibilites. The main attacker from my point of view should be definitely Didier, because he loves to play big games and to decide them. Also (I know a lot of people wouldn't like to read it) I dont want Fernando to win us the CL, simply because he doesn't love the club, he only wants to win the trophy.
-
I would go with Sturridge, he is maybe selfish but that's what the central striker has to be. He has some good skills on the ball, and the speed that promoted him to the right-wing position will be well used even on the central position. No need for another possible-flop-buy-for-big-money.
-
I just hope he will have the balls to bench Malouda, Lampard and Drogba. I seriously hope that the rest of the season won't be just a slow dying of AVB's tactics in RDM's hands and that he will some of his own spices to the game. Good luck, Roberto, you'll need it!

And it's called Abramovich. What a paradox...
