  1. I missed the game, but it computes, since it was his first game on English soil after causing all the transfer soap drama there. Plus he was facing his new teammates.. If he seemed cautious, then that's probably because he was, wanted to play it safe so not to screw his first big attention game up. Once he feels at home and comfortable, he will start pissing on everybody.
  2. It's because Peace gets a lot of man love in this forum
  3. He seems like a leader. Would be good to have strong personalities in the team as a big chunk of it left with Drogba.
  4. I was kneeling the whole shootout. I remember I held my thumbs in my palms, and hands to my face... after finding out it didn't work (Bayern converting all their pens, Mata missing his), I somewhy started touching Cech and our penalty takers on the screen, while saying something like "please" or "come on", for brief moments I held my hands in prayer too. I don't know why I did that, but the moment I started Olič missed his shot, so I just kept doing that and it paid off.. For a moment I literally felt that I helped them In hindsight it sounds stupid, but it was so fucking intense I couldn't help myself.
  5. Yes, of course we are rivals. It's impossible to overlook the controversial clashes we've had in the last decade or so. This is a game which captivates the whole world. I feel that with every round we meet, our rivalry grows stronger and gets more acknowledged in world football. It is also considered as the ultimate showdown between total attack and total defence, kinda like a means of measurement to which philosophy prevails.
  6. No shit, who hasn't scouted him? Thing is "he could've been a liverpool player" could not be more further from truth... he was NEVER going to sign for them, for a simple reason - champions league football.
  7. Haha yes.. tbh I was looking for Hazard most of the time in that vid
  8. That is true in case of dynamic IP. Even with static IP it's possible to override any kind of restrictions by using VPN or a proxy. Banning system in general is a bit flawed.
  9. Is JusticeForSHM SHM himself? If so, then what's the point of banning if you can simply create a new account. Are bans account specific, not IP specific?
  10. 1. City 2. Chelsea 3. United 4. Arsenal 5. Spurs 6. Pool 7. Newcastle ... Something like that perhaps. Don't think we'll make the jump from 6th to 1st, we might encounter some teamwork problems with the new players and the departure of Drogba, but the general increase in technical quality should make us at least top 3 contenders again. Much depends on summer activity too, if poolshit don't strengthen, then I'd tip Newcastle to finish above them. Same with Arsenal if RVP goes and they don't get a proper replacement, in that case I can see Sp**s overtaking them. I predict we will win the CWC and that UEFA competition (not CL), while maybe snatching the COC (damn that's weird) or the FAC. We will not stay trophyless.
  11. Actually the pen was given in extra time, so he didn't force it.
  12. I am most interested to see how Bamford and Ake develop from the least mentioned names. They are not widely hyped, but have drawn adulations from different coaches, Ake was also one of the surprise names AVB thew out when talking about potential in our youth team. We all know that the likes of Josh and Piazon come with huge expectations. Also Lalkovic has impressed me, but I think it's a dead case since all places are quiet over him, a move away is imminent I feel. Same goes for John Swift, rarely mentioned but one of the most important players in our academy team apparently, still young though and things may change. I think it's clear that Kakuta isn't a serious contender anymore, seeing how we're stacking up on his position with other imports.
  13. I don't think we will. Since Roman personally gave Torres assurance that he's gonna be the top dog next season, then unless we are after another Pizarro, we won't sign any strikers. And I don't see why we need another Pizarro tbh. I think Hulk is being looked at with the purpose of killing two flies with one swing - to cover for ST while reinforcing RW. We'd have Torres, Studge and Hulk potentially competing and covering for the same position... and if Lukaku stays, then he'd be in the mix as well. For one striker's place 3-4 options are more than enough.
  14. wow, is Paul McCartney his barber?
  15. Cole did say that Drogba and Ivanovic had the most powerful shots. And when he shoots from distance it's usually a good strong shot. I've wondered before why doesn't he do an Alex once in a while.
  16. Hopefully Chelsea boys will remember that it's only a friendly and won't hack his feet. Will be interesting to see how he plays against his new teammates.. if he humiliates them a couple of times he's bound to get a lot of respect in the camp later on. It will also be the first time I'll be watching Hazard for a full game, time to start scouting
  17. Your new generation of players is scary. I'm a bit interested though, how has this happened? I may be wrong, since I'm fairly young, but in my memory I don't remember Belgium shining with exciting prospects and world class players... what's changed? I can see Belgium being a surprise and going far in WC 2014.
  18. At least we're takinga advantage of the European triumph and strengthening our squad, unlike liverpool
  19. ^ This pretty much sums up how Hernandez scores his goals
  20. With all the interest he's getting, including Mourinho's, you just know we have a gem in hand.
  21. I personally think that while Roman was happy with the triumph, he might not have been happy with the way we won it and I don't think he was impressed by our league form either. It has been said many times that the objective is to play attractive and efficient football. I think he wants to win it convincingly, by building a team that needs to be beaten rather than being the one who needs to beat everybody else.
  22. All they did was inflate mediocre English players' prices. The world doesn't give a fuck about their flops because they know they're just dumb.
