  1. I think they do. Torres may well be under the illusion that people still support him. It needs to get through to his head that he's not wanted. It got through to Benitez, now it should be Trolles' turn.

  3. "I have to do my job. If you are asking me how I will be remembered - professional, working hard and trying to do my best." What a if he really believes that.
  4. And Bayern haven't won the CL yet, they've lost their last 3 finals, seem to be developing a habit. But hypothetically speaking, it would be a fierce game despite the Super Cup not having great meaning. Especially if we got Mourinho. For us to have a fighting chance, we need to upgrade the team. But it would be oh so sweet to beat them again, I would love it.
  5. Was he banned because he had unpopular opinions?
  6. This was my first reaction. I immediately looked at the transfers forum and saw that Falcao's thread was being active, so I was like "holy balls, no way", but after checking the official site and the forum, I was disappointed
  7. Tbf if you're going to include Azpilicueta you could have as well included Ramires, but in the end it doesn't even mata.
  8. Won't try to be original just for the sake of it, the choice is obvious - Mata.
  9. They're invading so early? Performance mode sucks
  10. Tbf not all RAWK users are delusional. I caught this surprisingly sensible post: EDIT: One more
  11. Actually clubs did that already. When Jose took over he introduced the 4-3-3, which wasn't used in England at that time. Quickly other teams copied that formation, which you can say to this day is an emulation of Chelsea.
  12. On the other hand, maybe biting is a sign of friendship in Uruguay? What if he was just trying to win Brana's affection? Why is everybody picking on the poor foreigner who has no idea whatsoever that the word 'negro' can be considered offensive. I mean it's natural that Uruguayan culture also applies in distant England, innit? Why is everybody lashing out at the poor unsuspecting boy?
  13. Hopefully this fucks up their start of next season.
  14. If we rely too much on individuals, then you are the worst individual by far. Also, there was a slight mistake in the article: "Every day you learn new things and you change a little bit. The key is to adapt to a new system, new players, a new style of football and that takes some time. In my case, it has maybe taken is definitely taking more time than it should [...]"
  15. "History Makers FC" - Drogba
  16. Exactly. Since when are athletes expected to be smart? Plenty of footballers and other sportsmen are thick bastards and don't deserve recognition other than what they do in their respective fields, but since they get a lot of TV air time, they inevitably become role models in everything. In truth very few entertainers (what athletes basically are) should be looked upon as examples. There are exceptions but you can't expect kids, staring at the TV the whole day, to differentiate between those who are and who aren't. Anyway, what Evra did, I don't think any child is gonna be traumatized by that. Not the brightest thing to do, but we all know that Evra is a cunt too, so...
  17. The amount of support Chelsea are getting (or rather the hate Suarez is getting) has been a pleasant surprise. Seriously thought it would get swept under the carpet.
  18. I remember when Cech wasn't exactly renowned for his penalty saving skills. I wasn't confident at all whenever we condeded a penalty, because he couldn't save one in a long time, he constantly went the wrong way etc. But some time after 2010 he has greatly improved in that area in my opinion. That UCL final was the best GK performance I've ever witnessed, in terms of rejecting penalties to be precise. Now I feel much more confident when we're facing a peno. He's a very intelligent guy, you can feel that when he's speaking, he puts less emphasis on 'luck' and more emphasis on studying. In that respect he reminds of Lampard, because both of them strike me as the kind of players who work on their weaknesses, not only strengths. He's so consistent also, just like Lampard used to be. He plays so many games each season, hardly getting any rest, but he still puts on performances and makes saves that leave my jaw dropped... he's done that ever since he's joined. He's won us more points and games than he's cost us.
  19. It is alleged that the conduct of Suarez constitutes violent conduct and it is The FA’s contention that the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient in these circumstances. The hamster is actually getting punished. GET IN!
  20. Look, you simply don't say things like that as a player. You can spout crap as much as you want once you're retired, but what you say affects your team. For example if I was a player and actually wanted to win it or at least give my everything, then I would feel disheartened if I had to play with someone who publicy admits he doesn't care. In the back of my mind I will always hesitate to pass him the ball because I can't count on him to do the best he can with it. I wouldn't feel confident with him protecting the defense. Also, does he want to be benched? Because I'm not sure any manager likes to hear things like that. It doesn't show ambition, it shows he has an attitude problem. What you say to the press should be something that won't taint the image of your club and won't compromise the confidence of your team, he can be 'ambitious' quietly.
  21. I'm sure this has been posted here before, but this is the first time I've read it: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/08/john-obi-mikel-chelsea-europa-league'>Mikel John Obi dismisses Europa League as 'Thursday nights, Channel 5' I think it's safe to concede that this guy has an attitude problem.
