  1. Mata isn't for sale. Unless someone comes in with an £80 million plus offer, thoughts of selling him should not be entertained.
  2. I don't think we're even linked with him. It's probably all just lazy journalism: Chelsea need a striker.Chelsea will only buy someone for an obscene amount of money.Lewandowski is as good as gone.Same with Falcao.Rooney looks unlikely.Only one left that fits the bill is Cavani...Ergo, make a load of stories up.
  3. LMAO at the people berating the thread title. Did you shit out your own sense of humour or something? Boring cunts.
  4. Too over-complicated an analysis as far as I'm concerned. Our system simply bypasses strikers. There is a reason both Ba and Torres went from being 25-to-30 goals per season strikers to being totally lame.
  5. I'm including wages there, so go and ROFLMAO somewhere else, n00b.
  6. Oh look, this thread. I hate this one more than the Neymar one
  7. Or we do a version of the Hunger Games and the victor gets the number 1 jersey.
  8. A highlights compilation on YouTube. I'm pretty sure I could make one of those for Ross Turnbull.
  9. 2013/14 - loan Courtois. Cech as number one. 2014/15 - Cech 30-ish league games, and European competitions. Courtois the remainder and any dead-rubber UEFA fixtures, so probably 15-ish matches. 2015/16 - if Cech hasn't left, then the opposite of 14/15. Cech is a legend and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and not just cast away like a leper.
  10. The game is developing, and so are positions. The "pivot", the "hole", and the "false number 9" are new terms, and many new ones will come about. Deal with it.
  11. I've never been impressed whenever I've seen him for Hamburg, and he certainly looked nothing better than shaky when he played for us. He won't be missed.
  12. The PFA have confirmed Hilario has been released by the club, presumably to retire. Thank you for seven years of faultless professionalism, H! I think we'll all remember his debut against Barca, and also his greatest game against Liverpool.
  13. £25m for a 29 year old past his peak with an allergy of closing down attacking players? Where do I sign?
  14. If we could get a combined £50 million for Luiz and Torres, I'd take it.
  15. ^ I agree. This season Lampard has been more concerned with scoring than doing a job for the team.
  16. My little Ossie had an indifferent game last night! A couple of really loose passes but he was probably also our best attacking player alongside Ramires! He deserves a break, big time!
  17. Unfair comment. Matic is an established player at Benfica. Stoch - well, he's faded into obscurity. Give RLC/Aké/Chal the same opportunities that Matic has had and they would surpass him. There is a reason we so willingly allowed him to go to Benfica, rather than paying another £3/4mn to Benfica for Luiz.
  18. Arjen Robben's last-gasp winner for Bayern Munich in last night's Champions League final means the Bavarians will face Europa League champions Chelsea in August's UEFA Super Cup. The German champions triumphed 2-1 at Wembley over domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund thanks to goals from Mario Mandzukic and former Chelsea star Robben, who of course missed an extra-time penalty in May 2012 as the Blues triumphed in the 2012 Munich showdown between both sides. Chelsea, on the other hand, defeated SL Benfica by the same margin in Amsterdam 11 days ago to become just the fourth team to complete the quartet of major European trophies. The Blues were humbled 1-4 by Atletico Madrid - or, more specifically, by Radamel Falcao - in the 2012 Supercup final in Monaco, and in what is being billed as a Mourinho-versus-Guardiola show-piece Chelsea will no doubt be out to right that particular wrong. The game will take place in the 21,000-capacity Eden Arena in Prague. The game will kick-off at 19:45 BST on Friday, August 30th 2013. Click here to view the article
  19. Very difficult to define. I would say John Terry is one of our best players technically, because of his first touch and range of passing, whereas other people may believe technical ability = flamboyance, hence naming Mazacar and only Mazacar as our 'technical' players, and maybe David Luiz...
  20. ^ fair comment, but you have to be absolutely truthful and admit that none of those are of the same ilk or quality as RLC, Aké or Chalobah. Our academy has improved massively and over the last 24 months we have really started to reap the rewards of all that investment.
  21. 40 goals, 120 assists and 680 nutmegs. Or am I being too ambitious?
