  1. So title contenders? Wouldn't say so if we can't beat an average Lpool side.
  2. Still in school... planning on becoming a mechanical/electric engineer.
  3. One problem, he has said he would love to play for Man Utd....
  4. Didn't Jovetic agree to stay with Fiorentina to 2013 and either leave in the winter window or the summer one? I'm sure their sporting director or whatever said that. City will be interested too tbh, they had a bid knocked back.
  5. No idea, apparently they found it on her facebook page while she was speaking to her friends so it could true or just BS...
  6. I think the fact we have been increasingly linked to Lucas Digne of Lille too has probably been incase Cole leaves.
  7. Yes its odd but that is a legitimate quote from his mothers facebook (well apparently) while the thing with Falcao's dad was him stating how his son "would" love to play for Chelsea... two different things completely
  8. Pfft Kagawa hasn't done anything good enough for United to be even be mentioned in the same league as Mata yet. Neither has Silva this year. Cazorla is the closest out of the three to him.
  9. Going to keep saying this. WE WILL LOSE IF WE DON'T PRESS THEM WHEN THEY HAVE THE BALL FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE 90 MINUTES. I have a funny feeling we will edge it 2-0 though.
  10. If we lose him I hope we replace him. Bertrand is nowhere near ready.
  11. Ashley Coles mum said to her friends on FB that he is going to be going to PSG. "Well looks like his going somwhere better hear than the talk of man u. Not too far on the Euro star x” http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4638088/Ashley-Cole-is-moving-to-PSG-says-his-Mum.html well apparently...
  12. Yeah, forgot about him. Hes not really a number 9 though hes more like a Roberto Baggio, Francesco Totti, Del Piero or Cassano sort of striker. Trequartista I think they call it in Italy. Still a very good player though. Actually I imagine a Trequartista would suit our system more than a traditional number 9.
  13. Maybe hes settled down now, it looks like he has found a consistency and haven't heard about much major problems in France about him, yet again I barely follow Ligue 1 though so I wouldn't be too sure.
  14. Why does the kid have attitude/behavior problems?
  15. What do you mean a disciplined manager haha?
  16. I think thats something we need, a flexible player who can score in different ways. Like with his head, both feet etc. The fact if he interchanged positions with our LAM or RAM he'd be perfect there too as he can play there as well as up front.
  17. We need to get someone in upfront in January at least though in case we get an injury. Even if its Bony who will be there to put pressure on Torres. As long as he makes a decent impact we can then go for a world class striker in the summer getting rid of Torres.
  18. What do you make of him? Chelsea quality or just average and overrated?
  19. There aren't many next striker sensations with the potential of Hazard and Oscar right now. Neymar... possibly El Sharaawy, Damaio and Lukaku (who we already have)... also Pato possibly if he can get fully fit and turn things around..
  20. So hes a 23 year old striker playing for Saint Etienne. I'm sure a few on here might have seen him play before or heard of him at least. He has an impressive goal tally right now in France. Hes got 8 goals in 12 games right now as Saint Etienne sit 3rd in Ligue 1, he also got 2 assists for them. A lot of French league following Twitter accounts have been mentioning him for a while as a potential target for PL clubs for a while now. He's usually a striker but he played as a LW tonight vs Troyes. He's blessed with pace, a good finisher with his feet and head, versatile and good at dribbling with the ball. Hes also on the African player of the year shortlist along with Mikel, Yaya Toure and all that too.
  21. Whats in bold, so true. Mikel has much more to offer now because he isn't restricted to passing the ball sideways/backwards constantly. He is given less defensive responsibility now with Rami next to him and in general the philosophy we are instilling. Robbie has let him go higher up and pick out much more diagonals switches/short passes in around the box because their is much more movement off the ball in our team now than there was say 4-5 seasons ago. Under Carlo, he would get the ball, nobody in front of him made decent runs so he'd pass it backwards. We all gurned and got annoyed at him but it wasn't just his fault.
  22. If he leaves, what a player he has been for the club. The word legend gets thrown around rather too easily these days but this guy deserves the status we give him. Yes he had problems with AVB but still the years he's been here he has been our best player along with JT by a country mile. At least 10 goals every season for the last 11 years is it? What a record. Greatest player in the history of the club in my opinion.
  23. Also Demba Ba, who has scored a lot of goals in the last two seasons in the PL.. Ben Arfa, Tiote and Santon too. Their scouting has been very very good. So I'd imagine they see a decent enough player in Bony to rival Cisse and Ba (who are better than Torres and Sturridge) as will our scouts so he'd probably be good enough for us going on that. We'll have to wait though, I don't think we'll buy Falcao due to FFP. If we were going to we'd have bought him in the summer I reckon. I think Bony could be that player we sign that surprises everyone. If we sign him and he scores at least 10 goals from January on wards I'd be delighted. Especially for the 8-10 million as quoted. Also you're not compared to Drogba unless your good enough.
  24. What do you mean? Remember Newcastle scouts scouted Yohan Cabaye and Pappis Cisse, eventually leading to them being signed for a fee smaller than what they were worth. Going on that their scouts must be very good as Cisse and Cabaye have been very very good for them so I'd imagine by the time they are being linked with Bony he must be a good enough player to lead the line for Newcastle, who are a good team at the moment, with better forwards than we have so surely he'd be worth a punt and good enough for us?
