  1. Yeah it seems the majority of talented young footballers coming through are all small guys who are about 5 ft 5-10... how times have changed. If you were Scottish and 6 ft odd you could get a contract anywhere about 20 years ago... pmsl...
  2. I don't really mind being tall. If I was 5 ft 6 I wouldn't really mind either. I could go get a spray tan, learn fluent Spanish and claim I'm playing for Barca u18s then tbh
  3. I think you would be classed as tall, I was a similar height when I was 14.
  4. You may beat me at growing a beard, but I've got a significant height difference on you buddy
  5. Hmm interesting thread. I do a bit of working out, trying to build a bit of muscle as well as keeping fit for playing football locally. Haven't really set myself as much of a goal as yourself Leif but you seem very dedicated to trying to lose that weight so good luck to you mate With the song thing, I really just listen to whatever garbage is on in the gym. Also use protein supplement, USN muscle fuel mass or some shit like that. Trying to eat a bit healthier even though I don't really need to lose weight, I think I weight just about 12 stone which is just about 76 kilos I think which is decent because I'm 6 ft 2 basically. I suppose I'll have to put this stats thing in tbh. Meeeeee - Age: 16 Height: 6 ft 1.5 / 2 Starting Weight: 161 lbs Current Weight: 168 lbs BMI: 21.57 Objective: Gain muscle, building core and upper body strength and better cardio respiratory endurance Programmes: Custom weight training. Supplements: USN muscle fuel mass. Goals: Gain maybe 5-10 lbs more of muscle. Also improve cardio respiratory endurance quite significantly for football. Daily calorie intake: Unsure tbh.
  6. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/48526/rafa-benitez-chelsea-ipad-app interesting read..
  7. Cahill has better decision making, when to go to intercept/tackle, when to stay etc. Luiz beats him at distributing the ball out from the back though but if Luiz could sort himself out and not make mistakes he'd be a great CB. Both aren't our best CBs anyway. Ivanovic imo is our best one.
  8. Rafa wants Paulinho from Corinthians or whoever he plays for. Wants to partner him with Rami.. On TalkSport.
  9. I dont see the massive fuss now after the last day or two, whats done is done. Anyway where was the 50 threads for AVB or Carlo or Scolari etc. Move on. Roman does things his ways, it has brought us success, simple as. If you'd rather have a manager in for 10 years than win trophies your nuts. I was pissed with AVB's sacking but we won two trophies so in the end I wasn't as pissed. I feel we will do something similar with Rafa.
  10. Press them high up... stop them scoring... get at their back three and take our chances... we win the game. Simple. City have been very bad at the back so far this season as have we.
  11. You'd have Luiz as a DM? I'd have him as club mascot at most. Hes fucking shit. Unsure how hes got so bad, he was decent under Carlo..
  12. Think he said tactically, because he went on to explain how they work on pressing and the team shape.
  13. I'd rather the club won trophies and was recognized as a successful club than kept managers for 10 years. If anyone else would rather a manager in charge for 10 years and not as many trophies then they are fucking retarded. Also being honest, Robbie isn't as a great a manager as you think, he won us the CL which we are all grateful for but his tactical knowledge was useless, every team we've played, we've gave time and space on the ball this season. If some of the finishing was better, we'd be 7th or 8th not 3rd.
  14. Lets be honest, Fergie is a fat oaf who should shut his mouth. Cracking manager though.
  15. Also if we got all three of them, a good CB to replace JT, a CM similar to Xavi Alonso and maybe a back up GK better than Shitbull, we'd have one of the top 5 squads in Europe no doubt. Just would need to get them all in the same team which would be a headache for whoevers in charge... but a very good headache knowing hes got at least 4 top quality CAMs and 2 class strikers, also Torres and Sturridge if they don't go.... Probably won't happen but imagine, Midfield options of : Ramires, Mikel, Romeu, Lampard, new CM (regista) or Oscar.. Attacking midfield options of : Hazard, Mata, Oscar, James Rodriguez, Sturridge, Marin, Moses, Piazon. Striker options of : Falcao, Cavani, Torres, Sturridge, Moses, Hazard (false 9) Would be fucking insane....... the tactical flexibility and the unpredictability of the line ups we could put out would also be very very good. Could easily play 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-1-2-1-2, 4-3-2-1, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 4-6-0, 4-1-4-1, 4-2-2-2 with such additions to the squad and still be very very strong. Also could rotate our midfield and still be incredibly strong. Obviously this is basically fantasy right now but if this happens then I think everyone will be fucking delighted.
  16. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is planning bids for 26-year-old Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, Porto winger James Rodriguez, 21, and 25-year-old Napoli forward Edinson Cavani. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/watch-out-fernando-torres-abramovich-is-planning-south-american-spending-spree-to-boost-flagging-attack-8343422.html
  17. Press conference filled me with a bit more confidence. I said I'd support him but the fact is hes set himself a basic goal. He wants to win trophies. He wants the focus to be on the team, not him managing the team due to a lot of fans not wanting him. If he wins trophies and wins a lot of games, will a lot of fans still hate him? No will they fuck. As long as the teams winning games and picks up a trophy or two this year we'll all be happy. Guaranteed.
  18. If he starts scoring on average a goal per 2 or 3 games then he can stay. If not he can still fuck off and go back to Liverpool..
  19. They've been hit and miss. Play good sometimes and play poor other times. If they play 3-5-2 maybe Rafa (looks weird sitting typing Rafa in doesn't it) could use his "tactical knowledge" (well thats what that Spanish guy whos always on Sky Sports says he has) to counter it even though I reckon he'll go 4-2-3-1.
  20. If City play 3-5-2 then we could be in for another tactical nightmare
