He wouldn't cost 40 million as he has apparently fallen out with the coaches at the club. Also hes a better player than Vidal tbh. De Rossi doesn't lack anything for a DM, hes good at reading the game, great tackler, great passer, strong, tactically sound and is also goal threat from set pieces. He would be the perfect player to play beside Mikel as he if also very good at picking out passes. Be it long or short ones. I would rather De Rossi over Vidal.

Apparently Zaha is meant to be Arsenal's ideal replace for Walcott who is still declining the contract Arsenal offered. I think Zaha has much more potential to be better.

Or De Rossi Mikel/De Rossi Ramires.... De Rossi could contribute as a more attacking player or Mikel/Ramires could. De Rossi is technically sound and is more than able to offer creativity.

Will be one of the hardest games for us this season, WBA very very very good at home. Best home record in the PL I believe. They will press us high up and not let us have much of the ball for sure.

Problem is in the eyes of most people, he won't go down as one. i believe if he keeps playing like this for a peroid of 5-10 years then he will be remembered as a great player though.

If managed correctly Balotelli would be a world beater. It seems Mancini has lost his touch and struggling to manage him as well as before when he was on that run were he scored 10 goals in 11 games or whatever it was.

I think SeB has said this a few times about the team lose the ball because they don't know how to defend with the ball. Maybe a player who is technically an upgrade on Ramires beside Mikel would help with that but the whole team has got to help. Football is a team game and if we are to defend with the ball the whole team has to improve together.

During Euro 2012, he was one of the best midfielders. Was Portugals third best player besides Ronaldo and Coentrao.

Yeah I understand your point its just you said we concede a lot of goals despite having 2 defensive midfielders. If we get rid of one we will have less defensive cover then and could concede more. Its going to be interesting though when we go in to the market.

Your crazy haha! The player who scores more goals is the obvious choice. Problem is Mata is an attacking midfielder where as Torres is a striker. I'd rather a striker scoring 20 goals a season than a striker scoring 5 goals a season.

Right now I'd prefer we keep Mikel - Ramires in the double pivot! Its working so far so if it isn't broke don't fix it.

I beg to differ tbh. Mikel has been excellent, in terms of distributing the ball and making vital tackles/interceptions. Fellaini is excelling behind the striker because he can use his size to great affect (to draw fouls, win the first and second ball). Fellaini wouldn't walk in to our team in the double pivot or the 3 behind the striker. Thats a fact. He is completely average technically, passing is slow and labored, isn't creative, gets caught on the ball too often and gives away a lot of fouls. Just because hes playing well right now doesn't mean we should sign him wait until he has a slump in form and everyone will be saying about how we were right to avoid him. The Everton team is built around Fellaini, they play to his strengths. We try to play to Torres/Mata/Hazard/Oscars strengths at Chelsea.

Anderson was destined for the top before Fergie tried to make him a CM. He was actually an attacking midfielder at first. Injuries didn't help too much either.

Exactly and with talk of Lamps moving off to China and people thinking Oriol isn't ready yet we'll soon find out how good he really is. We might end up using the loan market to get another midfielder in for a few months just to aid the loss of Mikel in that January period.

Passing directions this season Tackling/duels this season Previous seasons I'd imagine his passing was much more backwards than forwards and that he would have lower tackling/duel stats. Pity I can't get his stats from last season on this site to compare them... Anyway hes becoming a big big player for us. We'll see how we cope without him in January.

Gareth Barry in PL so far this season: Defensively he averages 1 tackle per game, 1.6 interceptions per game, 1 foul per game, 0.1 offsides won per game, 2 clearances per game, dribbled past 0.1 times per game, 0 shots blocked and wins 2.3 aerial duels per game. Offensively he averages 0.7 shots per game, 1.1 key passes per game, 0 dribbles, wins 1 foul per game, dispossesed once per game and 0.9 turnovers per game. He averages 59.4 passes per game, with an average completion rate of 88.2%, completes 0.4 crosses per game, completes 2.4 accurate through balls per game and 0.1 through balls per game. 0 bookings so far this season, but hes only played 7 games in the PL. 6 starter 1 as a sub. Sandro's stats are good, the tackles and interception stats are quite incredible. He also isn't dribbled past a lot which is also good compared to Mikel and Toure. Only thing that he needs to improve is not getting dispossesed as much (Mikel has a lower dispossession rate than Sandro by 0.4). Also Tiotes stats are rather pathetic compared to Mikel's, I thought he'd be a bit closer to him with some stats. Especially the hype he gets on here by some people, looking at each others stats and seeing Mikel is miles ahead with some is crazy.

Inter dominating possession, just been wasteful with their shots so far! Had 11 shots, 3 on target, 5 off target and 3 blocked. Atlanta have only had 2 shots on target and scored 1 of them. Quite clinical. EDIT: Freddy Guarin just scored! 1-1. About time hes had 4 shots already haha.
