Really? I can think of 3 places we need new players in without being picky. 3 PLACES: 1) DM 2) CM and 3) CF. Realistically taking injuries/tiredness of players into account we could use a: - A DM to cover for Oriols injury and Mikel if he gets injured/suspended. - A CM who can play the deep lying playmaker role like Ilkay Gundogan from Dortmund, Andrea Pirlo from Juve or Xavi Alonso from Real just 3 examples. - A CM to replace Essien/Meireles' role in the squad as a rotation option - A CF to compete with Nando and Sturridge if he stays. Apparently could be Shane Long, ChelseaChick (I think thats her twitter/TC name anyway) posted something about Shane Longs wedding being altered due to the fact he could move to Chelsea in January. Her cousin is his wedding planner... - A luxury signing maybe but another CAM that could rotate with Mata maybe Isco from Malaga or Willian from Shaktar Maybe a bit much to ask for January but maybe even next summer if we could get such players in and gel them into the team we'd have done great. Yes we have KDB and Josh coming back from loan deals in the summer but whos to say they won't go out on loan again? KDB could be used in the pivot, it remains to be seen I honestly think if Robbie though he could have been useful this year he wouldn't have gone on loan.

Thats very true but I think at such a young age it should be more about technical ability more than anything. Now a days football is more about technique than physicality or at least thats what I reckon. Imo Piazon is an elite talent just as Chalobah is so he should have maybe gotten a loan deal looking at the circumstances. Maybe he was kept because Robbie thought he could force himself into the team at some point. Who knows. I reckon he'll get some minutes in the CWC, which surely will do him well.

Chalobah is 16 and went out on loan straight away and Piazon didn't get one? Whats going on haha.

If we win the trophy - it will give us a massive morale boost, hopefully improve performances, hopefully spur us on to win the Europa League and Capital One Cup too. 3 Trophies would be more than successful this year in my eyes. Then go for Pep, Klopp or Jose and go for the bigger prizes next year... if this current group of younger players (Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Ramires, Mikel, Luiz, Torres, Moses, Romeu, Cahill, Azpi etc) can get as many trophies under their belts as soon as possible then we could have a squad with a great winning mentality with the key players only being in an age bracket of 20-26 and then ultimately go win the bigger prizes with a relatively young squad but with that winning mentality.

Rafinah Alcantara is a different player. Can play as a false 9, #10, on the wings or as a CM. Not a DM though. I think Thiago might end up being used as a DM tbh, I don't think hes a CAM as some people think, hes more a CM in my eyes.

Yeah having that relationship with players is key but right now I'm just planning on doing a wee thing with tactics, philosophy, models of play etc like what a lot of managers start out with before they have a job (Mourinho, Benitez, Rodgers etc all developed one before they were made managers)

I went on amazon and found a whole load of books on tactics. One including opinions on tactics from the Napoli boss, Carlo, Conte, Capello etc. One about Dutch influence on modern day football and that but I will have a look at them two you've listed

I've heard about the Football Tribe. The author is a psychologist I think. He was on that Mourinho documentary saying Jose is like a witch doctor. I think maybe at Christmas I will have to buy a few of these books and give them a read tbh.
