Wasn't too impressed with him actually, for all the comments on here demanding he played he did a few "decent" things. That cross he put in for example was the best thing he did. Did nobody notice he kicked the ball out of play in the Fulham half? Or had a decent chance to put a cross in on the left when Branna was up but went outside the box taking a massive touch giving him no chance to shoot/cross? I think people are expecting too much from Marin, he is a good player or was, hes not at that level he was at Werder Bremen when Ozil was there now, far from it. Wouldn't expect him to do too much for a while yet, he might come on as an impact player most weeks and stretch games but I don't think he'll do anything special like Hazard/Mata/Oscar are capable of. Hes not as explosive as he once was at Bremen, I noticed that last night. He is still fast but not as fast as before due to injuries obviously lol. He can improve still though.

Don't see why hes getting all this criticism, under AVB he looked 5 times the player Mikel did and I rate Mikel highly.... OK Robbie rated Mikel more and he's been a beast for us so far this season but still the boys a talent, if it hadn't been for Mascherano signing and Busquets not getting injured ever he would have played at Barca for sure. Personally I rate him more than that Jonathon Dos Santos guy, hes much better. He didn't play bad yesterday, he was ok. Just a bit rusty, give him more game time and he'll get better.

Did we sacrifice our defensive solidity for attractive open expansive football? Yes we did. It was costing us under Robbie. Our season would have been more fucked if he was allowed to continue with that open style of play where the three don't actually have positions. He was rightly dismissed due to the fact we were playing good football but conceding easy goals. Rafa is going for a more defensive tactic but would you rather 2 clean sheets and 2 points rather than 0 clean sheets, 5 goals for and 14 against or something? Remember under Jose Chelsea were a solid defensively, aggressive counter attacking team basically. We scored lots of goals but rarely conceded. Remember under AVB, we conceded goals for fun... sacked him and replaced him with Robbie who played a defensive system just like Rafa.. look what we won, why is everyone complaining about this defensive tactics when we won the CL and FA cup with it... honestly everyone who says "We want our Chelsea back" because we are playing defensive football needs a long hard look at themselves, we are getting our Chelsea back. For the 32 million we payed for Hazard, people would expect more. Maybe not goals but he needs to be a bit more adventurous with his play. Like run at 2 or 3 defenders and put them on there arse etc then shoot. Oscars also not been too adventurous but I don't believe hes that sort of player, he likes to keep the ball moving but should try and shoot more often when hes in a pocket of space. There were chances for both of them to shoot last night but instead they passed it... was crazy. The team in general are overplaying it imo. Oscar's movement dropping deep in the first half to receive the ball was brilliant though, if he keeps doing that there's bound to be a run by someone where he can spray it out to them... well I'd hope..
