Who does Branna think he is sporting a beard like that, Meireles? But yeah when you thought he couldn't have gotten any scarier after shaving his head, he goes a grows a beard that makes him look even scarier.

Don't know how anyone can say he is one of the best CBs in the world or could be one of them after a performance like that and fuck knows how many individual errors at Chelsea. One of the best CBs in the world is a guy who never gets caught out, never/rarely makes mistakes, is very difficult to play against and can ALWAYS be depended on by his team to never fuck up. Why do you think he featured in the big games as a central midfield player at Chelsea? Because he never learned from his mistakes at center back and can't be trusted there in big games. Top notch by Jose to get anything over 25M for him let alone 40M. Absolutely brilliant work. Lets be honest he might have an amazing long pass in him or a great free kick or step out of defence and go on a good dribble but for all of that theres a dummy against Cardiff when he hasn't seen an attacker 3 or 4 yards away where you concede a goal or a stupid needless foul on a QPR striker which leads to a penalty and goal as well as the multiple needless attempts to come and intercept a ball hes getting nowhere near, continuously giving away stupid free kicks or very very rash over the top blocks like the one on that kid when we played Swindon. Sure having talent is one thing but a CB isn't always a player who needs to score freekicks or play 60 yard passes, sure it helps but if they can't do the basics whats the point?

This. Totally agree. I am a Chelsea fan, club should always come first.

Really don't see the need for Pogba when we already have Ramires and just signed a creative central midfield player in Cesc... if Ramires goes then maybe but the chances of that happening? Very slim. The same with Khedira, hes a box to box midfielder, we already have Ramires and Marco van Ginkel who are both box to box midfielders.
-
He asked for a fucking permanent transfer. Jose said to the media to ask Romelu why he was loaned out after the kid opened his mouth to try and fire shots at Jose. I wish people would stop saying he asked for a loan, he wasn't sold because Jose didn't want to sell him, he was loaned partly to take points off title rivals and partly to keep him happy. Fucking hell.

Second goal had an unbelievable first touch and finish in it, hope he can get a start in the final.
-
Are you sure? He was great tonight. What a player, world class midfielder, also look at how he played for Bayern in many games. Technique, vision, scores goals, sets them up, very good player. Madrid have done very very well.
-
I hope so for his own sake because to say Higuain is slowly turning into a top player... would be incredibly daft.
-
The fact is hes a very average player still, lacking a lot of things to be a top striker. He couldn't have been dropped at Everton because he was their best striker but at Chelsea he wasn't the best striker. Eto'o as old and if you want to say past it as he was, suited the system, better technique, better footballing intelligence and had the knack of being in the right place at the right time. Look at Lukaku's WC performances, if he thinks hes ready to be number 1 at Chelsea after those he's sadly mistaken, his best role at Chelsea would be coming off the bench with 20 or 25 minutes to go when everyone else is tired and hes fresh and can make an impact. Look at him when he was on loan at West Brom, he didn't always start, he scored a lot of goals coming off the bench for them. Hes a deluded boy if he thinks he deserves or has got everything he needs to be Chelsea's number 1 striker right now, it was only a matter of time before he wanted to leave, he already tried to after missing that penalty in the super cup, pathetic mentality and mindset to have, if he keeps thinking like that he will never be a top player. Football these days is as much mental as physically, very talented players need to handle pressure, deal with mistakes, if he cannot deal with missing a penalty and wants to leave after it then I can't see him reaching the very top. I know he isn't Drogba but look Drogba was perhaps the opposite, he was a good player but he was probably not thought to be as talented as Lukaku but his mindset, his ability to deal with pressure, bounce back from mistakes, was as vital to him being a top player as his ability.

Lol I love how he says Higuain slowly evolved into a top player.. this is a guy who scored over 100 goals for Real Madrid before he was 26.... 'slowly evolved into a top player what a joke'. Yeah the guy can talk. Some of it bullshit. Some of it makes sense.
-
I'd say someone who has scored close to 60 goals in 2 seasons in for a team like Altetico is proven. Given the season he played with Falcao he played off him he still scored close to 20 goals as well.

I don't see why we need to have young players as back up players, they don't play every week where in contrast they could be out on loan playing every week for a club, developing, learning, gaining experience. Look at Kalas last year, how many games did he start? He didn't even start against Swindon in the Capital One Cup for god sakes, he started 2 games (Liverpool and Cardiff I think), ironically in the last 4 or 5 matches of the season. He would have benefitted from a season on loan with Ivanovic coming in at CB when we had an injury/suspension. Theres a reason why young players don't make it here, because when we have them in the squad they don't play. McEachran was never going to displace Lampard or Mikel or Ramires or Meireles under AVB on a regular basis, how often were they injured as well? Only Lamps was injured a bit and he was in and out of the team. Kalas was never going to displace Cahill, Terry or Luiz or even Branna if he played at CB. Young players at big clubs are generally better going on loan than sitting in the squad. There are a few exceptions, maybe Marco will be a regular next year but again did anyone expect him to displace Lampard or Ramires or Mikel regularly for Chelsea? Before we signed Matic, we were light in CM so maybe he would have had more of a chance to play but now we've added Fabregas as well as losing Lampard and everyone thinking we should try and sign Pogba or someone to replace Ramires... so how is he meant to get a game? I think Marco will be used as a rotation player next season to be honest but thats because I think we won't sign any more midfield players and Mikel could possibly not feature as much. Zouma definitely needs to go on loan, hes only 19, he needs to play every week to keep improving.

Awesome? They used Carvalho and Abidal there last season and they both renewed their contracts, as well as having young promising players like Borja Gomez, Isimat-Mirin and they also signed Aymen Abdennour permanently, as well as a few other guys as well if I remember rightly. They have too many CBs, theres no point in him going there if he isn't going to play every week.

Fuck u bitch. -
or we can just keep beating them everytime we play them anyway? Anyway I'm genuinely surprised they are replacing Suarez with a whole cluster of players, in recent years that hasn't always worked, Arsenal never replaced RVP with a player of his quality, they bought several good but not great players like Podolski, Giroud etc. Spurs never replaced Bale with a player of his quality either, sure it helps to have a squad but they are getting rid of Suarez and signing good players to build up their squad, without actually signing a direct replacement. I mean if we sold Hazard, would yous be happy if we went and bought players like Lambert, Lallana, Emre Can or prefer it we signed someone like Sanchez or James Rodriguez?

Haha I do remember our wee gang, you, me, Spike, Kezza and Cap before he got banned aye. Probably was a few others too. -
Vitesse for another year then we should look at maybe getting him loaned to a club in the Bundesliga the next season, could be good for him.
-
What does it matter if we own shares or can buy them or what not, Jose doesn't think we need him and after him signing players like Matic, Willian, Schurrle, Salah, Fabregas and Costa I trust him judgement. Let him to go Liverpool, hes a young guy still, there will be an adaption period, I mean who even says he would start for Liverpool?

So it looks like someone has already done what I intended to do. Fuck. -
I don't see why people see him as a limited footballer? Some aspects of his game are intelligent, look at his movement in the box and his diagonal runs behind defenses, not all wide players have that, in fact not many in the PL who play on the wings make similar movements. Sure his touch, passing and crossing might let him down at some times but he is a player who strikes the ball very well. His hattrick vs Fulham also demonstrated a very clinical side to his game. Hes more than the 'limited footballer' everyone makes him out to be, sure hes not as good a dribbler as Neymar or as good at creating chances like Iniesta is but he has traits that make him more than a limited player.
-
That was my intentions
-
Attacking midfielders crisis? -Hazard scored more goals/assisted than he did in his first season, took more responsibility, tactically and defensively improved. -Willian played his first season in the PL, finally got going after adapting to the pace and intensity of PL. -Schurrle's first season, 8 or 9 goals, good return for a first season where he had a bit of adapting to do as well. -Salah's first half a season, purely adapting to the PL. The only one who didn't improve from the season before was Oscar, after a very promising first few months. If those 4 keep improving and Oscar gets his head out his arse, starts improving then I doubt we will have a crisis. Sure theres talk of Sanchez going to Arsenal and Markovic to Liverpool but only if we got rid of one of those 5, which I doubt, then we could move for Sanchez (genuine improvement on Willian, Salah and Schurrle on the wings) or James (offensive improvement on Oscar) but I can't see it. The crisis we had was upfront, as we've had ever since we fucking put any faith into Torres coming good really and the lack of a deep lying midfield player to partner Matic but I can see why people are perhaps concerned with Oscars creativity and performances since January and Willian's lack of goals but surely an injury free season to Oscar (and a rest maybe?) as well as a second season for Willian, in a league wheres he's much more used to now after his first season, could give us that. Costa's goalscoring exploits could win us 5 or 6 more points as well as Cesc's creativity and control so who knows, we have to wait and see (and the thing with Cesc is who even says he will play as an 8 and not a 10? We don't know yet).
-
He played as an attacking midfielder for Barca, not Arsenal... he was ruined used there as he was one of the best deep lying midfield players in Europe at the time.
