  1. Wait and see. Sky Sports News will have a big fuck off announcement: Chelsea re-appoint Rafa Benitez or Neil Warnock. Its written isnt it.
  2. Decent player but not Chelsea quality. Similar level to the likes of Michael Keane, an Everton or Leicester would be a good move for him.
  3. But the story is a no go..... every few years something happens, either a manager gets sacked, theres an issue with Roman or the board or other club personnel and the media report it stating the same shit about loss of interest or whatever but fuck all happens. Lost interest? Motivation? Roman's motivation has helped Chelsea become an absolute super club over the last 10-15 years, we were on a good path back in the day making progress but his arrival jacked expectations right up and although we've had managerial issues etc hes always been committed. Don't worry about it. Stadium plans on hold? He'll sort it one way or another. Visa issues? Again, he'll sort it one way or another. New manager? He'll sort it.... It might take time but I don't think anybody should be looking to question Roman Abramovich's motivation or desire or interest in the club.
  4. Better yet? Alisson is like 26.. hes not a young kid, he is good but hes been overrated a bit. I get the whole attitude thing but I think Courtois has showed his worth towards the end of the season and if we get a new manager, they'd want him to stay 100%.
  5. Improvement on Bakayoko and Drinkwater but still another average player in my eyes. We need a top level midfielder this summer to boost our options, we should be looking at guys like Verratti, Jorginho, Kovacic (still has so much potential to grow)... they are so much better. Seri is alright fair enough and hes not exactly the style of player we don't need but if he is going to be signed and people expect him and RLC to be catalysts and change our MF then be prepared for disappointment.
  6. Don't think we'll get him. Plus lets no kid around, I don't think he is better than Courtois. Leno is another goalkeeper who is apparently available for 20m, I'd take a punt on him as well before Alisson, purely for the fact hes probably just as good and he is also about 2-3 times cheaper..
  7. I doubt hes lost interest (this rumour comes around every 2 or 3 years), hes a business man, if he had lost interest he wouldn't have pumped 200m into the squad last summer and he would have tried to sell up for a profit or would try to in the present. Its all political regarding Abramovich, if he never had any links to Vladimir Putin he'd be back in the country and they wouldn't want him to declare how he made his money etc. Its as simple as that. They can buff it up to whatever they want, new rules etc, but nobody is stupid.
  8. If it was Jody Morris in charge I'd say there would be pretty good chance of that happening but Lampard will have his own ideas, want to stamp his authority on the squad. Don't think Frank will be as interested about tapping into the Chelsea reserves as much as Jody Morris would have been who worked hand in hand with these players for a good period of time. Can only hope but don't count on it.
  9. Honestly don't think Karius is a bad goalkeeper, despite that CL moments, hes not the greatest but hes solid enough. He was pretty good at Mainz as well. But yeah another CB, GK and talk of a back up winger (Shaqiri - not the greatest but as a back up for the cash they've mentioned? Decent enough) along with the fact they've got that front 3, a wealth of MF options and Klopp who is a top manager with full backing? They could go a step better this season in the league and challenge for the PL. Us on the other hand? Not a disastrous summer yet but fuck all happening is usually a bad sign, even wee rumours linking us to good players don't seem to be happening...
  10. Nobody is saying they are world beaters, they got to a CL final with a pretty thin squad and they've strengthened it with 3 players that most of the other top 4 teams would of liked to have signed, that is the point. They are not standing stilll. They've already improved before a ball has even been kicked.
  11. I'm sorry but Fekir is class. Would walk into our side as well. This might sound stupid but if they get a decent GK, CB and maintain their performances from last season they could be a huge threat again next season. We need to start making signings at a similar level to the likes of Fekir, Fabinho, Keita. All 3 would walk into our team.
  12. True but 15-20m plus 2 players they've had over the last few years there as well as their biggest talent back on loan? Surely got to be tempting.
  13. Sell both for 10-15M and be down with them. Or work a deal including both +15-20M for Sessengon but give him back to them on a loan deal because its so vital he plays if he were to be signed.
  14. Not sure what he expected to happen when he moved here. "Frustrating season" he was never going to start here. He is not stupid but he wanted to try it, maybe wanted a pay rise, wanted to work under Conte etc etc but lets be fair, he was always going to be a squad player and will be if he stays (which I doubt because there will be MF additions for sure I'd hope).
  15. Not surprised one bit, was kind of curious as to why Spain took 3 RBs in him, Carvajal and Odriozola but that has just shown another option, Azpi is that good defensively that he could play any position in a back 4 or back 5.
  16. Imagine replacing Conte with such a poor manager like Laurent Blanc. What the fuck is that all about. The club is run by incompetent fucking idiots who haven't got one ounce of intelligence.
  17. We hardly binned Cech, he was obviously going to be demoted to number 2, he was declining, Courtois had just had 3 amazing seasons at Atletico where he was arguably the best GK in La Liga. So many folk here wanted Courtois to replace Cech and anybody who says other wise is a liar. Yes hes playing the game a bit, he wants to move etc or is trying to pressure the board for money etc but its modern day football. Eden is in a similar place just nowhere near as blunt about it. Even if we do sell him, he cost us 8m and that was an absolute steal considering how good he has turned out and if we can convince him to resign then it will be a very very good move because he is only 26 years old. If we replace him with the likes of Butland then god help us. Alisson probably wont happen and Oblak is the in same boat, will cost too much and I can't see anybody spending 50m plus for a GK yet alone Chelsea.
  18. True but it would have to be paid from his pocket, that is what the whole thing is, thats why Conte never left Chelsea last summer because if he resigned he'd have to pay 9m to the club. Thats why he isn't resigning now because he will have to pay it. Fair enough he'd make it back by my point is a coach who is on a 1.5m euros a year salary or whatever Sarri is on, will not just throw 3m euros to a club who have already replaced him..
  19. What makes Tolisso better than Mount or RLC? The fact hes proven himself at a much higher level, is an incredibly rounded footballer who has no significant weaknesses imo for a midfield player except for the defensive side of his game (although at Lyon he was very competent I thought regarding this). Lets not kid ourselves, I think RLC is an extremely overrated player and his season at Palace was by no means exceptional in any regard. If I could have one of them guys in my MF it would be Tolisso every single day of the week and anybody else who says otherwise is a fool. Mount is extremely promising as is Hudson-Odoi but you've mentioned Musonda in comparison to Bailey? Musonda is a show pony, he has no end product, he couldnt break into the Celtic team after they claimed "they fought off 20 teams to sign him".... lets not kid ourselves and say that he has shown anything good except a few brief flashes at Betis. also its worth mentioning him constantly acting like a petulant little child over social media when he wanted to play more etc ahead of guys streets ahead of him. I'd be all for giving youngsters game time, Hudson-Odoi and Mount are two who I feel can be very very useful although Mount would benefit a lot if he got the loan move to Ajax which has been talked about apparently, they are one of the best teams in the world at progressing young players, but if the club or manager were offered Tolisso or Bailey? No brainers.
  20. I don't know about you mate but 3m euros is a lot of money!! fuck paying that yourself.
  21. Napoli could probably ask him for the remainder of his contract. Just like if Conte resigns here he'd have to pay x amount, which is why he hasn't resigned or didnt last summer.
  22. Ffs. This is getting incredibly silly. I know there is still plenty time to sort something out but would it just happen already? We want Sarri, so pay the money to appoint him and pay off Conte.
  23. True. I suppose if we had matched their fee and had Sarri maybe he'd think differently but I suppose we haven't. This managerial conundrum is fucking us up in the market.
  24. Great player but don't see why hes going to City, hes in his best years and maybe controversially maybe not, I think Fernandinho is still a better player (think hes been really really good under Pep for City, after he started to look a bit more average under Pellegrini). Suppose it gives City more options and Fernandinho isn't getting younger but still an odd move when City have David Silva, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Fernandinho, even the boy Foden all there, he could be playing every single week here, or at many other clubs and I'd be surprised if Pep goes and plays him ahead of Fernandinho, or plays him ahead of De Bruyne or Silva in those roles they took up last season.
  25. I think if Roman is putting a halt on stadium renovations or whatever it could mean he is willing to plough more money into the squad on players. Or at least that's what I hope, if we had to prioritise something this next few years, its got to be investment in the squad, players like Luiz, Cahill, Fabregas, Willian, Pedro, Giroud are all towards 30 or over or are not far off it and considering at least 4 of them started a lot of games for us this season (Cahill, Fabregas, Willian Giroud), it is a more urgent matter to look for upgrades/long term solutions for them as opposed to a new stadium imo. Throw in the mediocre players like Moses, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta and a lot of the loan players that will never get a chance/arent good enough, that is a lot of poor level players for a Chelsea squad and we should be looking to cut ties with them. Lets hope that is what he is thinking anyway.
