  1. He is considered a permanent member of the first team squad I would say so honestly I'd be surprised if he plays u23s very often.
  2. Obviously Sarri prefers using Hazard, Willian, Pedro, RLC on the right/left ahead of him. I don't know what else it could be. If I was in his shoes Id consider the same tbf although looking at it, he wont play week in week out at Bayern in my eyes either.
  3. Oh come on. Weve had this before. Mediocrity? The squads not great and if we lose Eden its a huge blow but its hardly as if we are gonna fall outside the top 6, which is competitive. Swear when Eden goes half the fans may as well go with him, you get the feeling theres no belief that we can manage without him in the future but we did it in the past with players, some who in my eyes have done more than Eden has, the Drogba's, the Lampards, the Terrys, the Coles, the Zolas etc. Fair enough weve not bought exceptionally well recently but theres no doubt we can still attract players and have a good team. If you dont believe that then you may as well go support someone else. He was going to leave eventually and plus hes hardly been at the level he was the first 10 games for a good while, may get stick for this hes truly a world class player only when he wants to be. Weve had 2 bad seasons after winning the PL in the last 4 years... his effort and performances along with Costa, Matic, Fabregas etc was a big part of that unfortunately. .
  4. I think its clear or he would have renewed by now. He will be on a good deal anyway like most youngsters at Chelsea. Its not a matter of money clearly its about playing time. If you cant see that then I don't know.
  5. Would prefer him over Tonali, definitely. Tonali has talent but he isnt even half the level Verratti was at when he left Pescara to go to Paris... yes he's been called up and been training with the Italian NT but again I think Parades is at a better level to come in and offer something. Plus it makes sense for the kid to learn and improve at a team he has a key role playing in every week. Regarding Paredes he is good but could be a bit sloppy sometimes with his passing or he was at Roma. He has physicality, good passing range, stamina, mobility too and fits the profile for a Sarri team as a CDM. Hopefully we can get him for under 30m. I think in terms of the market, 35m would be the highest we should pay though. Still plenty time to improve as well.
  6. Just means buy another LB. Emerson is pretty shite anyway, Alonso is better. And hes pretty average. Says it all.
  7. Two birds one stone. Get it done. 6 months is pointless because if he is a success Juve will ramp up the price. Hes worth the risk for 18 months, definitely. Also hes on a decline? Are you joking? Hes at an average Milan side, where Andre Silva couldnt even score goals last season and is thriving at Seville....
  8. He wants to go clearly. Bayern are a huge club. But Bayern are in a bit of a mess at present. Average manager, aging players in key positions... like I said huge club but only problem is Chelsea aren't a Bundesliga team who will bend over to accomodate making a deal with them regarding transfers. If we did, why else would they feel the need to publically talk about CHO? Its like Barca and Real have done in the past, have a player or manager or board member talk about a player to try and entice a player to force a move or whatever.... underhand tactics or not it happens...
  9. So another uncommited wideplayer, more or less. To be honest I would rather he would just come out and say he wants to go come the summer. Put everyone out of their misery. Its painly obvious hes off. Why would he stay?
  10. Dont know why him between 19-25 is being discussed. He had the best season of his career under Sarri 3 years ago and is better than what we have as well as being a proven goalscorer at every level. Fitness issues? Hes has apparently had them his whole career but its probably more because he is not naturally fit athletic guy, like a Ronaldo or whoever. Also whoever posted the sitter video v Germany, so what? watch Lewandowski, hes missed sitters, Cavanis missed sitters, Suarez missed sitters... these things happen. But these guys numbers are consistent. Same as Higuain. Again, reading this thread, it would seem like the Pulisic deal, another case of guy written off and deemed not good enough before even potentially pulling the shirt on. Lets just perceviere wirh Morata, Giroud and Hazard as a false 9 then because its clear and was in the summer, Higuain was top of Sarris list like Jorginho. Lets not forget Juve only sold Higuain to comply with FFP after the Ronaldo deal. Now there's talk of them having to consider selling Dybala because Higuain potentially wont be staying at Milan for them to exercise the obligation to buy. Sure 1 goal since October but in the last 3 or 4 seasons that is a lot of goals.
  11. He plays CB every week and has done regularly for about 3 seasons now, at Watford and at Bournemouth. He plays for the Dutch NT as a CB. Hes not a midfielder or a full back. If we were to sign him it would be as a CB. No more square pegs in round holes. Have we learned nothing.
  12. Could say that for our whole front 3 and MF 3 recently tbf.
  13. Great yeah lets buy a CB who has made maybe 10 appearances at LB his whole career and use him there. Square peg round hole.
  14. Unfortunately there are a handful on this forum that do. Its quite irritating. Or pathetic. Whatever way you want to look at it.
  15. Again, like Jorginhos situation sort of. Its fair to say hes struggling at times with the lack of movement infront of him but sometimes he is safe when you want him to take a risk yes. Sarri has said our movement can improve and we can attack the box better though so he obviously realizes this. Not related to Ross but noa, Hazard as a 9 is a non option for me, drops far too deep in central areas in the middle of the pitch which is already congested, takes too many touches like all our attackers, rarely in the box because hes that deep to get involved. A 9 would boost this team a lot.
  16. Think its alarming that Luiz is creating more than Willian, Pedro and Hazard in these games.
  17. We must be fucking stupid. If he goes to Bayern and does well why would Bayern sell, a sell on fee is ridiculous. Also a buy back, again if does well why would he consider leaving Bayern who are one of the top 5 clubs on the planet, where they see him as a starter clearly? Daily mail or not, quite believe those demands 😂 idotic as per usual for our club.
  18. Just sign both. Let Barella continue at Cagliari on loan and use Paredes this season.
  19. Player Sarri will know from Serie A, not sure if hes a 8, 10, wide player or a second striker though, has played in all of those positions for Watford and Juventus. Think hes more a wide man at Watford they play 442 a lot.
  20. Again, the priority is the first 11. A top 9, LB, RW should all be top of the list This guy isnt first 11 quality. He probably isnt at the level Morata Batshuayi or Giroud are. Similar case to last January, look at Tosun Cenk who Everton signed from Turkish league with similar or better stats, big fish small pond.
  21. And when he underperforms will you call for his head like Willian? Or Alonso? Or the others? Hes a pointless signing unless its purely to make a profit on which is stupid when we severly lack upfront as it is. We need quality, not squad players, which readibg othet posts on here regarding Willian, Alonso, Ross etc from yourself I thought you understood?
  22. Did you watch him at Napoli? He hit long passes a lot but he had movement in fdrnt of him. Also Luiz hits a lot of the passes you would see Jorginho do at times too because he has that ability where as at Napoli, Albiol and Koulibaly played a lot less penetrating vertical passes. Its the same way Cesc looked ineffective in a deeper role here under Sarri because everyone stands still and wants the ball to feet so they can take a million touches... likes of Barkley, Ruben, Eden, Willian and Morata still all guilty of this in the final third far too often, not quick enough with our combination play, not enough third man runs. Also regarding movement off the ball, Pedro and Kante (huge improvement this season in this regard) are really the only guys who make constant off the ball movements. Where as at Napoli, the likes of Mertens, Callejon, Hamsik and even Allan would make runs off the ball, even if they didnt get it straight away it would to free up spaces and opportunities to play quick combinations with third man runners. For all the doubters of Jorginho, if he played for City you would all be creaming your pants because they have good rotations and good movement off the ball in the final third. Plus their system would mask any defects he has, although defensively he has really come on a lot since his first game for us.
  23. Hardly. Talk about overexageration. Be another poor stop gap average signing, like Remy, like Pato, guys who were never even good enough and a waste of tine.
  24. People complain about average players like Alonso, Willian, Morata, Barkley, Emerson etc in the squad/first 11 but then want us to sign an absolutely bang average player in a position we need to buy geniune quality in. Jesus christ. He is not even better than Giroud by the looks of it. Well who's next Andros Townsend for RW followed by Fabian Delph for LB?
