So people asked for him to play RW ahead of Willian, plays there, was meh, now its an excuse about hes a LW player, a position hes rarely ever going to play if Eden is there. He and Willian swapped, CHO played on the left for a while too and was meh again. So make your minds up folk. He can play both sides, easily, its just he struggled, he needs more minutes to get any sort of momentum. Last night was his first PL appearance this season. Just need to be patient and stop overrating him from the start. Hes a top talent but has got to grow yet, Jody Morris said he wasnt ready for first team football a while ago and Sarri also stated it. Last night was proof that he still has to learn. Hopefully he continues to get more momentum with Pedro being injured but he also picked up a injury so who knows.

And you think we are going to sign a left back when we signed 2 in the last 2 years first and foremost? No chance. CF is the biggest issue, Hazard is nowhere near as influential as a false 9 than he is at left wing. A good striker that can bring goals and get Hazard back to his nautral position is first priority. Even then in defence that whole left side can be gotten at, Luiz at LCB and Alonso at LB.

Good player, not sure what him signing means for Kante because theyd be competing for the same position more than likely, as a box to box nidfielder rsthee than the most advanced midfielder. At PSG over the last however many seasons he was a real vital cog in their team along with Motta and Verratti. Frozen out now he wont resign with PSG but I think getting him on a free transfer would be a hugely shrewd move.

But he reads the game so well. The guy is a brilliant CB, you dont need to be that fast to play as a CB, he plays in teams that have a high line but has rarely ever been exposed bar the odd game. If he was 5 years younger it would be even better.

Playing for Chelsea and Gladbach is different. Not saying he should 100% be sold, an offer of 45-55m, would be a good deal because its clear that Sarri doesnt fully trust him. The fact we tried to sign Rugani in the summer too despite Luiz and Rudiger showing they were first choice selection, was alarn bells for me too. The 2 seasons at Gladbach where he was good doesnt mean jackshit if he gave a lot of below average performances and cost us games on a regular basis over a 8 or 9 month period.

Dont think its fair to say were being fickle. He has be really average and made a huge amount of mistakes in the last 8 or 9 months. If anything its fickle to think 3 months of good performances make somebody potentially a top CB. Fair enough he can still improve, hes only 22 but hes been cut a lot of slack too.

This. Just like again positionally, a CM or a RW or what? Where does he play? Sarri doesnt seem to be fully convinced either and is throwing him in playing both positions.

Honestly since after the first 3 or 4 months of playing under Conte he hasnt looked convincing so where do you get the idea he will be world class from? Hes got potential yes but for somebody who as a youngster was so heavily regarded (again perhaps overrated as most youths are to a degree, although he can still become a very good player with work) his career has sort of flatlined. Mainly due to making mistakes and playing poorly. He can't displace a ticking timebomb in Luiz at CB. Every game hes played this season (mainly against really average teams) he has looked poor, maybe average at best, doesnt look comfortable in a back 4, even at Gladbach he didnt look fully convincing in a back 4 compared to much better in a back 3. Playing in a back 3 helped him, a back 4s a different ball game.

He would of loved to work under Jardim too for a long haul. Sarri is a great manager but Jardim and Monaco have been influenital in the rise and progression of young/up and coming players such as Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho, James Rodriguez, Anthony Martial, Djibril Sibide, Jemerson, Keita Balde, that fraudulent bastard Bakayoko.... for a young player thats pretty hard to ignore as well as the fact they won Ligue 1 ahead of PSG playing some exciting football. Sarri is a great coach too but for young players, Jardim and Monaco is just as attractive an option, probably much more in the long term. Theres no guarantee he would even start for us, with Barkley, with Ruben, with Kovacic.... so he definitely made the best move even if it hasn't clicked yet.

Isco for me would be a great signing but I have a feeling he is sort of a luxury player. Sometimes he looks amazing, under Zizou at the tip of a diamond particularly but hes been playing very very mixed since the summer. He has everything in his make up to be a truly world class 10 but I am not entirely sure in a team less gifted thans Reals he could be as decisive, in that MF diamond he had complete freedom.

Honestly whoever goes into United has got huge issues. Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, all big players, huge huge earners but their under performing like fuck. Even Rashford, Lingard, Martial (dropped off the face of the earth recently after rejecting a new deal, while being on a good run, maybe injured who knows)... I mean Pogba started well but has been awful, if he was here doing the same we would be saying get him out too. Even if Jose doesnt get sacked United have big issues. Herrera is a good player but he isnt starting ahead of Pogba and Fred for nothing... Zidane and Jardim would struggle with that team too. Also their board have no footballing knowledge.
