  1. This has been discussed many times on here. Personally I am strongly against it. For one thing I am not a fan of playing players out of position, especially in the DM role since mistakes there tend to be more costly than anywhere else. As for Luiz's attacking abilities, I feel that he is now able to contribute to the attack because he plays at CB. If you move him to the middle, he will not have any time on the ball, he will have a player marking him which prevents him from going forward effectively, and he will also be needed to pick out a pass quickly.
  2. I actually agree. But I am torn between my desire to have a world-class manager such as Mou or Capello on one hand, and me belief, on the other hand, that we need to have some sort of continuity in management if the current crop of youth players are going to have any chance of making here at Chelsea.
  3. Of course Justin isn't as good as Di Matteo!
  4. Where is Justin to tell us how good Bielsa is?
  5. I don't think Roman ever intended to give him the job permanently. But it's hard to see how he could not without causing a riot among the fans. Maybe they will agree that Robbie comes out and says that he declined the job...
  6. I saw him grabbing his leg in the first half. I hope he is alright, he had an excellent 45 mins.
  7. Both links state that this is just a rumor at this stage.
  8. He did actually. He saved it, said so after the match.
  9. True. But surely the champions of Europe can persuade one of them to join.
  10. This x100. It seems that modern football fans have forgotten that a fullback is first and foremost a DEFENDER.
  11. He didn't have massive amounts of pace and speed to begin with
  12. How can Chelsea fans not see what John does on the field for Chelsea? He was the best defender in the world, he still is one of the best. But what John Terry offers is much more than his own performance. Most importantly, JT offers organization at the back and even in midfield. He is an inspiration to every Chelsea player if there ever was one. The role of a true leader on the pitch is very underrated. I know it is a cliche, but the team is not the same without him.
  13. Looks like it is martinez. Obviously Liverpool are looking to get a manager with lots of relegation battles expirience to improve their chances of staying up next season.
  14. It's still all speculation in the press. For all we know, he has not signed a contract with the club because he is still drunk and partying with the cup with the big ears
  15. Well, I guess versatility is relative in the sense that it depends on how well you think the player does out of position. What I meant is that Salamon does an "adequate" job on either wing, which could be very helpful for a squad player; he can also play as a striker if needed. Yes, Kalou does not offer anything "different" going forward, but neither did Malouda in the last year or so, and at 27, Kalou is, imo, the better choice.
  16. You can play him in goal if you want but that does not mean he's a keeper!
  17. I'd rather keep Kalou tbh. He's more versatile.
  18. I am hoping that their relegation did not affect him mentally.
  19. Thank you for your services Jose, I never actually liked you
  20. No way would we get rid of Kalou ahead of Malouda unless his wage is much higher. I'm having a hard time believing that Mail story.
