Not sure I'm still looking to see who was pursuing him. However, playing for the Anderlecht senior team at 16 is very difficult. While the Belgian league isn't great it's still rare for a 16 year old to play for the top team. He seems to be heralded as big time talent.

Here's a video of Youri Tielemans, a 16 year old Belgian who got first squad time in Anderlecht's friendly with Hamburg. He's 16 it appears he's all over the pitch in terms of position as either a 10,8, or 6. #8 in the u16 Belgian video

I would guess that he feels comfortable there and that there would be some bad juu from the Zulte fans if he left for Anderlect. Not to mention with Dennis Praet still at Anderlect he's not going to be top dog

He would be an improvement over Bad considering he'd have De Bruyne and Hazard and Lukaku. He has great chemistry with De Bruyne. Plus as has been mentioned once Benteke and Lukaku get more of a chance to play together they will be devastating for Belgium. The move would give Chelsea the flexibility to change to a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 from game to game or even mid game. That being said it's going to be Spurs and they are going to be very dangerous this year.

Hazard will score goals I see him as someone who could be a 20 goal 10-20 assist guy. I know 20-20 sounds crazy for just the 38 PL season but Hazard hasn't hit his peak.

Plus Zulte is going to lose their stud 18 Year old DM , junior Malanda, in the transfer window

It's muppet season. De Bruyne just wants to play and this stuff is the work of agents clubs to see what shakes loose. In the end De Bruyne should be at Chelsea unless Emenalo and Mou go brain dead.

He's best GK in Liga and one of top GK in the world and start for one of the best Int'l sides in the world .....

I don't like Hulk's game too much physicality not enough finesse and not enough creativity for my liking.

Good for Dries I hope it works out for him. He's talented enough to play for a top club but it would be in a super sub squad depth role.

I would go as far to say he's Brazil's best player.

Scouting Benteke most likely

Assuming Chelsea gets rid of the ill suited 4-2-3-1. I think De Bruyne would be best suited as an attacking right midfielder and I would see something like this Cech Branovich Terry/ Cahill Ruiz Cole De Bruyne Mata Oscar Schurrle. Hazard Ba/Lukaku/? The problem is that line up is too attack oriented. With Chelsea's current talent I would recommend a 4-1-4-1 but a strong DM/ sweeper would be needed. I could also see a staggered 4-5-1 or 4-3-3. The issue is having enough defensive responsibility in the midfield so that the team can properly defend.

It depends on what Dortmund's needs are and how Klopp sees De Bruyne fitting into his style. I could see De Bruyne being given lots of freedom of movement at Dortmund. I will admit I'd need to go back and watch Dortmund matches to see what Klopp does and see who Dortmund is losing. I'm of the opinion that De Bruyne is too impactful a player to leave on the bench

Well it would be ridiculous to go from a Champions League team to a team that will be battling to avoid relegation. There are only a handful of teams that would be suitable that wouldn't be considered an insult. Not to mention he's already a legend at Athletico with the cherry on top being the Copa Del Rey victory

I get the sentimentality for Lampard, but he cannot do as my much as De Bruyne at his age. Lest anyone forget De Bruyne LED the Bundesliga in kilometers run with 356kms. What is mind blowing is that De Bruyne has been the best Midfielder/player for Belgium (excepting for Courtois) over the last 12 months and Dortmund is courting him for the paltry sum of 17 million which some posters here seem to have no issue with.... De Bruyne should be starting for Chelsea next year and I wouldn't begrudge him one bit to move Dortmund because he'll actually have a good shot at starting there.
